    The fact that she only sued for $1 and didn’t file a police report is very commendable. She should’ve filed and sued for more tbh. The fact that on top of being wrong, the plaintiff had the audacity to call the police is disgusting.

      @MEGIDIOT Agreed. I’m really faulting the husband here because someone attacked his wife and he was in a position to get justice for her, but didn’t. A man protects his family, not turn the other cheek when the exact same threat is still out there. The neighbor clearly is mentally unstable and could attack his children the next time. And I honestly don’t believe she’s done terrorizing his family. My $.02

      @@dougedoug2105 I think the neighbours want to forgive her for her clearly disgusting behaviour and ignorant actions because, at the end of the day, they live next to eachother. The more it escalates between them, the more hell at home they both will have to live through. Potentially over years. Better to be the bigger person and try to resolve it at the lowest level first. If that doesn't end up being possible then the next time it would need to be escalated to the authorities instead of Judge Judy. Defendants are both very stand up people with good morals.

      I think that's possible but only because she was reaching over to mess with the fence being rightfully removed, to stop it. She ended up touching her due to that, and that's bad enough.

    Suing for a dollar for the plaintiff putting her hands on the defendant makes them look so good, they could’ve easily sued for more, but they didn’t, some good show of character right there 👏👏👏👏👏

      It definitely showed good character, as did the refusal to waste police and court time by filing a report.
      The defendants are clearly not money-grabbers or they would have sued for the labour of rectifying the plaintiff's mistake (taking down the fence) and for damages/rent for the land she deprived them of for over 2 years, at the plaintiff's own admission. They're also not the ones who brought this to court - their argument was a countersuit, filed only in response to being unfairly sued by Karen...
      The only greedy person there is the plaintiff - & JJ saw, straight through her.

    The defendants made no faces when the plaintiff was telling her story, didnt shake their heads, act dramatic. The plaintiff did all of that because she knew she was wrong. Love that they sued for 1 dollar just to stick it to her.

      @@iykeharrison9161 I agree. She was stalling hoping the defendants would let it go. You always get property surveyed before installing a fence. Karen did everything wrong and still feels entitled and refuses to even consider she was 100% at fault.

      @@Crazycatlady71 Knew a guy back home up the street who put in a fence AND landscaping on a neighbors property. He was like a good 4 feet over.... The property owner was like, "Hey honestly, you can leave the landscaping up but we need the fence moved in at least 2 feet because we use this path to access the other side of our bushes." The person who put the fence up actually started yelling at him and telling him that's crap etc. etc. and playing the victim...
      Really blows my mind the assholes we have sometimes as neighbors. Fortunately it wasn't anywhere near my parent's home and my neighbors have always been pretty good.

    I wish I had the patience of the defendants. Only suing for $1 as a symbolic apology as opposed to trying to get monetary gain, and not pressing charges. They seem like nice people, I’d love to have them as neighbors

"I didn't punch her, I slipped and as I was falling my hand inadvertently touched her cheek". "I didn't push him, I tapped him on the shoulder".

    That plaintiff is the definition of entitled. She was willfully ignorant about where the fence was placed and made next to no real efforts to try and remedy the situation in any sort of reasonable way and time. And then in the end she still doesnt get it - she STILL blames the Defendants. What a nightmare of a neighbor to live next to.

    Love it! What was ridiculous to me was how far the plaintiff's property went legally next to the defendant's home but she still felt entitled to encroach when she had so much space where she could have placed the fence on her own property. That speaks volumes in itself. Also, the mercy of the defendants NEVER would have existed if the tables were turned. Please understand that! That woman and her niece would never have been so forgiving and would ABSOLUTELY have pressed charges for any small physical assault from those black people. period.

    Lesson learned... if someone builds a fence on your property and you let them leave it there; it becomes their property ... depending on the state and how much time. Applause for this family and I am so glad we have a win for them.

    Get a surveyor and you avoid this problem. Plaintiff didn't want to spend the time and money to hire a surveyor.

    I experienced more or less the same thing- I called Code Enforcement and it got done because they were going to charge him 1000 dollars a day. When you take it out of the pocket- they will respond

    I love the ending! They are both willing to be friendly neighbors again and put this whole thing behind them! ❤ We all make mistakes and do things we shouldn’t do to one another, and a lot of times a genuine apology can fix it! No grudges here, which helps the spirit to healthily thrive! 😇

    The entitlement and air of privilege that some people walk through life with is so repulsive. I commend the couple for being kind, classy, and reasonable people. I hate the wife was disrespected in that way but is still open to being friends with someone who does not deserve her kindness.

    Common sense and courtesy dictates that you call a surveyor BEFORE the fence goes up.
    Also, even at the end the plaintiff still doesn't understand that your property left on someone else's property for several years is no longer your property.

      I highly doubt the defendants hold any animosity towards her. But plaintiff's personality (karenism) is the type where it's just best not to ever engage with her. Even being cordial would be a task.

    The defenendants were so composed and clear in their recollection. I trust their version, but you can tell they are so fed up with the plaintiff.. Understandable 😅

    Countersuits very rarely get awarded since many of them are filed out of spite/revenge/price is inflated. Defendant was very calm, countersuit consisted of minimal money, thus very easy for JJ to believe and reward, well done!
