I would take e70 anytime over f15,the looks on e70 are timeless,the clean clear interior,the hips,the rear are timeless,i hate the slopping rear roof of f15,it makes it look like a hatchback
F15 is leaps and bounds far more modern inside and out.... the people who keep harping on about e70 saying it looks better is for one reason and one reason only - it helps you feel better that it's all you can afford as the F15 is still between $55 and 60k for a half decent one and $70k+ for immaculate ones that present well whereas the e70 any dick and harry can pick up now for between 10 and 15k. Electronic steering goes in the X5s favour by *FAR* for more than 90% of drivers as its so dreamy to use around town / city areas and for parking etc. which is where the majority of its owners who've paid close to $150,000 for it when new will appreciate it the most not for best lap times on a damn track or for hammering through twisties on a mountain road for more connected front wheel feedback.
Ridiculous to do a comparison without showing off-road capability between the two. But I suppose these types of people just buy an X5 for supermarket runs. 🙄
I own 2013 X5 with 66k on the clock and it drives superb, on my 30d i got 10litres per 60miles but it is absolutely fine... but saying 7litres... mistake... maybe doing 50mph on motorway..
Bloody hell e70 still looks awesome even after 14 years . It was def ahead of its time .

e70 looks and drives better. No crappy electronic steering. The F15 exterior has no wheel arches at all and the back is boring
e70 looks fugly, f15 is first one I actually consider from the X5 range.

I have an E70 40d but the acceleration in a friend's F15 30d appears quicker.
