I just wanted to drop a massive thank you here! Your DIY video on fixing an oven was not only incredibly easy to follow but also saved me a hefty sum in repair costs. I was a bit apprehensive at first about tinkering with my oven, but your clear instructions and helpful tips gave me the confidence to tackle it myself. And voilà, my oven is working like a charm again! You're a lifesaver! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and helping others like me. Please keep up the fantastic work!
Thank you! I don't have the ability to do this at age 82 but I still appreciate this info. Will look for part for repair man. Cheaper than $1100 for new range!!!
@@Roberts67Heather Your welcome. Yes, i agree much cheaper then spending $1100.00 for a new oven. It's a quick fix and hopefully you find someone that will take care of the install for you. Thanks for watching and commenting hope you have a great day.
Please don't take others' comments about video length or your detailed narrative to heart... I greatly appreciated your careful attention to all steps involved to confirm for me that I wasn't missing anything. I took everything apart as you demonstrated in order to confirm which fan was faulty. My part is now on order (gas model) and I'm confident your video has prepped me for precisely what steps I need to follow upon its arrival. FWIW, there is an identical level of "in & out play" evident in both of the two fan motors in our gas model (upper + lower)- but not any side-to-side wobble in either. Yet one of the two fans is making horrible grinding noises while the other is silent. Go figure. Thanks again!
Thank you for taking time to leave a great comment. I will take what you said about my video a continue to keep doing what i am doing. I do like feed back good or bad to help making videos as best as i can. I am glad you were able to us my video and gave you the confidence require to tackle this project. Now that it has been a couple months how did you find the process was it pretty straight forward? did you end up ordering 2 fans or just one for the one that was making noise? Thanks for watching and commenting, If you haven't subscribed yet please consider doing so.
Awesome video! I just successfully replaced one of the convection fans in my oven following this video. Couldn’t have done it without your clear instructions!

Thank you for this! Spot on with the diagnosis and replacement! Such a huge help being able to compare the sound and see what to do! It was a pretty big pain to get a replacement part but after 6 calls I got through to someone who knew what to do.
Your very welcome I am glad you found my video helpful. Yes it took me awhile to find a place with the part in stock. Were you able to replace your fan motor?
@@TDLDIY I called in to samsung through the number in the manual. Guy forwarded me to parts. Someone answered from a different (cannot remember the name) company. I got told they don’t have that part and to call samsung. /confused I called Samsung, they sent me to the parts department. Someone answered from a different (not the same as the first) company. Super annoying loop but the last person was great and helped find the right part. The part number didn’t help since samsung wasn’t supporting it anymore. What arrived was nearly identical though.
@@Tarpania Wow that seems like a huge run around there. I am glad in the end you got some nice and willing to give you a hand and get it all sorted. For me I took information off the part and did the old google search. another way i use is take your model number and input it into a Samsung part finder and will list all the parts for your appliance which helps me out most of the time.
Great video! I originally looked this up in November and have been putting it off. I followed your directions to troubleshoot and saw the wobbling of the fan and the distinct sound. I disconnected the fan and the sound went away. Thank you for your help!
Thanks! I have American Home Shield, and I appreciate you telling the cost of the replacement part, because they will come fix it for $80, so that will actually cose less than ordering the part. This was a really good video- I am usually a DIYer, so I appreciated how you showed the parts and how to remove it, and the steps to replace clearly. If my range hadn't been covered, I'd be doing it myself. Great job!
Thanks so much for the comment. Yes in your case i dont blame you one bit, It was cheaper to have them come and do it for you. Thanks for telling me what i did right i will hopefully continue to do this showing each step and explaining along the way. Thanks for watching.
Did AHS fix it? Because warranties usually require the item to be non functioning to require a repair. Noisy is usually not a qualifying repair incident. Be good to know how it went for you.
Great, very helpful video. Thank you so much!! Also, I love my Samsung phone, but I don't think I will ever buy another Samsung appliance. This oven's stove top stopped working (one side) 2 years after we bought it. Now, the left side burns things. The previous oven we had came with the house and lasted 25+ years. This one is not even 5 and now I have to (thanks to your kind, useful video) change the fan too. Very bad quality appliance, I find.
I have alot of samsung appliances as well. I will stick with them for phones and TVs. I might try another brand for appliances when they finally fail. Your very welcome, I am glad it was helpful. Thats the main reason i make these videos to help other save some money and hopefully be able to do it themselves. Thanks for watching and showing your support. I hope you have a great day.
I fixed mine when I opened the cover and a screw fell out...someone had left a screw in there which stopped the fan so the oven overheated...great technicians.
@@BusyBeeCompany Well that good news in the end. Definitely helps with more even heat. Glad it was an easy fix for you. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Did the faulty fan cause the oven to not get up to temp or uneven heat? I have the same model, the middle fan doesn’t work and the temp is always low or uneven.
Excellent easy to follow video. Thank You! Mine is making some whining sounds. You're looks like ceramic cooktop. I have the induction which can be a pain at times. Can you post the Amazon link where you purchased the replacement part ?
Sounds just like mine. My husband had to put in a new thermostat a few years ago. Never have I paid so much for a stove. And I have never had to fix one either.
You can try a local appliance part shop, Amazon or google the part stores locally or further and you can order online which is what i did. Just ensure your part numbers match up.
This was a great video. However, both my motors went and they are not the same but look pretty darn close!! AND... the most important part, the bottom fan is reverse thread so broke the the threaded shaft off in to the capped nut.... cant find it anywhere. Just a mention, don't reef on it like i did, reverse thread on my Samsung Convection Oven.
Yes, each fan might be different. Some units have 3 fans 2 being the same and the middle different. Thanks for the information on reserve threads. If i am not sure i try both ways. There is a higher chance something hold a fan blade will be reserved thread.
Yes i was able to use the stove while waiting for the part. I could use the oven as well just if i had it on convection it would make some noice. So i would try and limit how much you use it while waiting for the part.
You can very easily remove the two screws on the backside of the motor clean those bearings and lubricate them with some light oil and put it back together. The front bearing is likely where your noises coming from because of the heat. I’ve done it with mine and I’ve gotten two years out of it.
Just discovered our smaller top and bottom fans are not spinning with the larger middle fan. Hopefully I'll be able to order replacement motors for all three and just be done with it for a while.
I think all this samsung appliences have the same problem I changed the fan back I. December and now I have to change the lights for the stove on and the drain valve on the dishwasher
All you have to do is remove the three motors and clean them with carburetor cleaner, re-lubricate the bearings, and reinstall. I haven’t heard a peep out of my oven in over a year. Don’t pay $115 for each motor! Clean and lube those motors because they are serviceable.
Thank you for commenting. I am sure others could benefit from ideas like this is there some place or a link to a video on how to do this? I provided a low cost fix to this issue I experienced hoping it could help others.
That's interesting. Ours recently started making that noise but now the motor isn't spinning at all. Think it can still be serviced if it's not spinning?
