    My lower fan was making a "dry bearing" type of sound, so I pulled it and lubed the bushings with white lithium grease. Put back together and sounds great again.

      @@VincesDIYs I hope it lasts, those motors use bushings and once the bushing wears down there's no fixing. I have a feeling that the grease was a temporary fix, but we shall see.

    In the video, it looks as if both fans were spinning in the same direction. They should spin opposite. The 2 fan blades are different from each other. Can you confirm? Thank you

      You are correct. You should check the motor part numbers for each fan if you have two. Chances are that they are different. It will worked fine for us with them spinning the same direction.

    I wonder if those heating elements will work with 48v DC solar

    Hey Vince I'm having this same problem! Were both fans the same part#?

      I believe that they may actually may be different part numbers as they are supposed to turn opposite ways.

    • @VincesDIYs
      @VincesDIYs  2 роки тому

      If you check on the motors themselves, there should be part numbers

      They are different part numbers. I ordered one for my upper fan and it was not correct. Plugs were on the other side and it was left hand thread and the upper fan is right hand threaded. Lower fan is the left hand thread. UGH!

    Having electric motors running inside a red hot environment just isn't a good idea in the first place.

      The motors are on the outside. But they still do not seem to last too long…..

      Dear@@VincesDIYs: luckily thanks to your help, everybody knows how to fix it now. In fact, the motor look exactly like those found in a bathroom exhaust fan with some modifications. Thank you for your kind reply.
