    Angel wong’s hey I tried out this recipe, one hour ago and I just got my pineapple 🍍 cake out of the oven and it turned out perfect and taste so so good. Unfortunately I didn’t have any metal molds I rolled it into a ball and pressed the middle . Still looks pretty decent and taste amazing. Thank you for the recipe.

    I was glad to find a recipe here in english. I had not had these in 20 yrs., and don't live i.n a city where they can be bought. They were much easier to make than I thought they would be. In an effort to make them a little healthier, I used white whole wheat flour, and organic whey powder instead of powdered milk, as well as a fresh organic pineapple. These were awesome! Thanks so much for sharing.

    Thank you for your recipe. The steps are very easy to follow with a very clear instruction. I made it last night. It (the dough) came out a bit dry but the taste was awesome. How to fix the dryness of the shell? Thank you.

    Wow Angel, this recipe is great. I made pineapple 7" pie with your recipe. But I use fresh pineapple and reduced the liquid to 1/4 then put the diced pineapple back into the pot. Makes the filling SO much flavorful. I also puree the pineapple core and put them all in the pot. Thanks again for the video! 😋

    Hi Angel,
    I tried your recipe today. The dough came out too soft and I added 1 extra cup of cakeflour. I could have put in wrong measurements of butter. You mentioned 1 stick. Does it mean 250 gms ? But, the results came out well and I love it.

    • @angelwongskitchen
      @angelwongskitchen  9 років тому

      Geraldine Goh I'm glad you loved the pineapple cakes! Actually 1 stick of butter = 8 tablespoons. I believe that's 113 gms. (sorry for the confusion!) You did the right thing by adding more cakeflour to adjust. :)

    Thank you so much for sharing Angel! I've always wondered how to make these treats, and posting a video with all the details and steps really helped! I didn't have the square or diamond cookie cutters and used a mini muffin pan and they ended up turning out like little cupcakes, but it tasted great! I cut a whole pineapple instead of the canned ones, so I had filling left over. I realized that the taste was actually a lot stronger after placing it in the fridge overnight than when I used the filling after an hour. Thank you so so much! I've subscribed to your channel and I will be on the lookout for more of your delicious recipes! Keep up the great work!

    • @angelwongskitchen
      @angelwongskitchen  7 років тому +1

      Hi! So glad you liked my pineapple cake recipe! To get the browned "grill marks" look, you need a textured baking sheet like I used in the video, otherwise you can bake the cakes a bit longer in the oven to try and brown the edges.

    First of all, thank you for this amazing recipe! The tarts are delicious!
    Second, how important do you think it is to fully evaporate the juices from the filling? I definitely ruined some dough balls by letting the filling leak through the dough. Once the filling gets mixed with the outside, that ball is done for, especially if there's still some juice left :x

    • @angelwongskitchen
      @angelwongskitchen  8 років тому +1

      +Andre Peng I would make sure to let any extra water evaporate from the filling otherwise as you mentioned, it will leak.
