You're going to think I'm crazy but Bioderma is also amazing at getting stains out of clothing!!! 🙊 Or if I spill makeup on anything while I'm getting ready I'll just take some Bioderma on a baby wipe and dab it up! I've saved so many stained things this way. It's liquid gold!
Thanks for the tips!
Agreed also good for getting stains out of carpet
Oh wow! I would never have thought it would work!💋
Thanks for the tip!
Oh wow! Good to know!
You’re my new favorite derm on YT! As a fellow Rosacea girl, I’ve really stepped up skincare routine because of you 🤎💓
I’m so excited!! I have been waiting for this list!! Thank you
I LOVE the colorscience sunscreen!!! I just bought it two weeks ago and it’s literally perfection! Truly, out of all the many spfs I own, this is the best
Came across your channel whils looking for skincare recommendations and found it very useful. Your delivery of information was simple and straightforward and not showy which is refreshing. Thank you.
Thanks for showing your bare skin! I also have rosacea, and you show that people with rosacea can still have beautiful, healthy, glowy skin.
Couldn't agree more - the La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra Moisturizer is so nice! Started using it about a 1,5 month ago and love it. Looking forward to try out the other products you mentioned.
I am so happy I found your channel, you give such great advice especially for someone like me who doesn’t really know much & I keep stopping & take screenshots from your recommended products… Thank You so much for sharing ♥️♥️
You're my fave dermatologist on here!!! I found you on Mixed Makeup and you're the best!
sound quality is amazing. kudos to whoever grabs and mixes your audio.
Dr. Sam, just wanted to thank you, you are the best
I love how she puts on her sunscreen
bought all of these products bc i saw ur video popping up on my feed as a sign from the skincare gods and no joke within a day i’m seeing changes in my skin😍 my super sensitive skin adores u and ur recs. pleaseeeeee lmk what eye cream i should get!!
I use the Bioderma and love it too. I do use waterproof mascara and it takes care of it with no problem. I moisten cotton pads, press lightly onto eye, let it sit there for 15-20 seconds, and then wipe. Takes care of all the makeup on the eye. Mascara, Liner, shadow !! It's fabulous. Best I have ever used and I'm 64 so I've tried a lot. Then I do my second cleanse with a Tatcha or Paula's Choice cleanser.
I'm so glad that I discovered your FB page. At almost 73 I'm doing everything (within reason) to care for my aging skin. My skin is the twin to your sensitive, rosacea skin and mine is also dryish. Thank you for all the holy grail products and most were added to my Amazon order page. Now I have to see if you have a video on double cleansing.
Would love to see a makeup product video from you! Your makeup looks flawless and I’m sure you use the best stuff! ❤️
I second this!!! 🙏
I third this!!! Dot
Literally just purchased every item mentioned! THANK YOU!!!
Dayum!
Lovely explanation and review!! Thanks Sam!!!
Welcome on UA-cam and thanks for sharing your Holy Grail of skincare products :D for me Bioderma H2O is a must and I also love La Roche-Posay Anthelios Anti-Imperfection SPF50+ Salicylic Acid Sun Cream. Wait to see your next video!
Timeless vitamin c is a great alternative to skinceuticals which most people can not afford....And I can NOT live without Krave Beauty Great Barrier Relief serum and face oils! Love Botanics Restoring Overnight oil for drug store pick or Face Hero and French Girl face oils!
Waiting for the colorscience sunscreen to come in! Ordered because of you and I’m so excited!
I also got the ColorScience sunscreen based on her review and it’s just as good as she said it would be 😍
Yes update: bought it and LOVE it!!!
Going to order it as well.
I’ve loved it! Bioderma micelar water is everything for me haha.
I’ve always go back to avene thermal water too. Sometimes i stop using it, but then I buy it again.
These are the two products I do not change for others and always go back to
Thanks so much for the spf recommendation. I've been trying to find an oil free mineral only sunscreen that isn't crazy expensive. It's definitely not cheap but much more affordable than what I was using before!
I started using another online dermatologist recommended skin therapy routine, or what she uses. I did it morning and night and it really worked!!! My husband looked at me after about 2 weeks and said You look pretty. You're looking younger, whats going on? I was shocked and that's when I took a closer look at my face and could actually see the difference. You guys/gals know what you're talking about for sure 😊❤️❤️❤️
Could I ask whose skincare routine?
@@carolesimmons9476 I hate to say it on this channel but for you I will...The Budget Dermatologist is the channel and it's her morning and night routine skincare. It worked for me ❤️
This LRP moisturiser is my holy grail too! I like trying new products but I always have the LRP Toleriane Ultra Creme. It is just the best for all types of weather!
Safe for combination skin , acne prone?
@@hinabokhari7520 I'd recommend Toleriance Ultra Fluide, but both are non-comedogenic.
As a fellow dry skin gal, I am soo here for this video! 😍🙌🏻
Yes!!
I love this video. Nice one Dr!
I’m tempted to try the color science spf. i’m always on the hunt for a good mineral spf.
I love the cerave hydrating foam cleanser, the paulas choice enriched calming toner, and the new cetaphil soothing gel cream.
my god are your nails ever manicured so nicely
I thought the same! And I love her nail color... Would love to find out what it is :).
Yay! So excited for this video :) happy Wednesday ❤️
Loving this list
Once I saw 4 out of 5 of your products are also my holy grails I immediately subscribed. We are so simpatico😊
I really loved your video, I'm also a big fan of the Bioderma Sensibio H20 and the SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic. I live in Australia and am not familiar with Colorescience Sunforgettable, my HG of sunscreen is Ultra Violette, it gives you protection with a really lovely glow. I would really love a video on your recommendations for a day/night skincare routine for 50+. Really glad I found your channel.
Just found you Love your suggestions so oo needed in this crazy over supplied /under delviering skin care world tx
Loving this List
I use almost all these products ! i love the bioderma , and the skinceuticals c e ferulic. the vitamin c is expensive but for me its worth it :)
So glad I stumbled accross this Channel! I have dry and sensitive skin. Would love a night skin routine from you. My holy grail product is Kanebo Sensaii emulsion and B-oil from The Ordinary. I fond that oils in general helps with dryness. Xxx Marit
Just came over here from your instagram and am LOVING your channel! Your vid explaining adapalene, tretinoin, and retinols is the best explanation of products i've ever seen on youtube ...and I've seen a ton! You are a great educator, beautiful, and from your IG I know you are a lot of fun! Greetings from Paris.
i
Thank you for your kind words! That means so much. I’m so happy you found that video helpful!
Would love a video on Vitamin C recommendations! My sensitive skin can’t tolerate the CE Ferulic. Maybe I should try the Silymarin CF formula?
So happy to know that I'm using the right products (the first 4); thank you for such an awesome video. I'd love to hear your suggestions re eye creams. Looking forward to your next video...
I love the StriVectin 360 eye serum...I'm so impressed with the results
My holy grail sunscreen is the EltaMD UV Clear. I love it because I reapply sunscreen throughout the day and it never cakes up or pills, and it doesn’t make me break out.
It's a little pricey though 😢
Thank you Dr. Ellis..so much valuable information..I also have extremely dry, sensitive face..👍👍
I have to add that color science sunscreen to my list to try! Personal holy grail right now is the Kinship Self Reflect SPF 32 but there are times I want a higher SPF and water resistance. Can't wait for your next video! 🎉🎉🎉
I really like the Kinship Self Reflect too! Really lovely formula for having such a high % of zinc!
Retinol from larosche posay is holy grail🙌
The bioderma micellar water is AMAZING!! I’m never without it. Paulas choice 2% BHA is a holy grail for me as it keeps the pores on my nose from filling up again🤢🤣 and the la roche posit double touleraine moisturizer is fantastic💜💜💜
Do you use the gel or the cream formula for the La Roche-Posay moisturizer?
@@cgasparico the cream formula! I’m extra dry so it works beautifully!💕💕💕
@@cgasparico the cream formula! I’m extra dry so it works beautifully!💕💕💕
where do you get the bioderma micellar water? :)
@@kaodiokafor322 shoppers drug Mart . Walmart . Basically anywhere
I share every single one of your faves as well and I have combination skin!! I personally love the La Roche Posay Toleriane Nuit instead as it's surprisingly a tad lighter. But loving your videos Dr Sam, keep it up!! xxx
Ooh I haven't even heard of that version! And thank you!
I liked the Nuit version too!
Love the Nivea Q10 Power Night Face Moisturizer (unscented) is my holy grail night moisturizer alone with the Eucerin Healing Ointment
What a great list!
I don’t have many HGs but Bioderma Micellar Water is also on my list. I also love the La-Roche Posay Toleraine Hydrating Cleanser, and Stratia Liquid Gold. Still looking for an HG sunscreen. I’ve been wanting to try this Colorescience one; maybe this is a sign!
Ooh i have the liquid gold on my shelf and haven't gotten into it yet. Excited to try!
Just received the spf. Omgosh thank you so much. I was so sick of the extreme glow with all of my other spf's. Thank you! We already have the same favorite moisterizer. I'm currently working through my other vitamin c but am considering trying yours. Waiting on the water. 4 to 6 week delivery on that btw
Just got my first bottle of skinceuticals CE ferulic!! Making this video very validating 😅
Oh my gosh I wish that you were my dermatologist!! Can you please do a video specific to acne?
Ok but your hair looks amazing🥰
I use the same sunscreen and CE Ferulic acid serum every day. My absolute go-tos! I use the

1) Holika Holika- Aloe face wash
2) Theyers - Blemish pads w/2% salicylic acid
3) Skin ceuticals- CE Ferulic acid serum
4) The Ordinary - Niacinamide
5) Holika Holika aloe soothing gel

PM:

2) Just started using Differen- Adapalene .1%
3) Holika Holika aloe soothing gel
4) Neutrogena Hydroboost water gel
How long does the ce ferulic last? I'm feeling fomo but couldn't afford to buy it every month 😂
Thanks for sharing your Holy Grail Products.
I love bioderma micellar water too.
I'd love to see a face mask holy grail! Congratulations on the baby news!
I have Rosacea too it drives me nuts I still haven't found products that I'm in love with yet but excited to find someone who Knows what they're talking about and has similar skin to me, Sooo happy you came up in my feed
I have the same problem.. My skin react to everything
I tried the Sensibio cleanser from Bioderma and the Toleriane ultra cream she mentioned and that helped a lot with mu rosacea
Me too. La roche works really good for me
I have rosacea & have had great success with the Aveeno calm + restore oat gel moisturizer! Fragrance free, super gentle, light yet very hydrating. If you’re looking for a moisturizer, I have yet to find one better than that
@@eobrien1 Thank you I have heard great things about that its in my Ulta cart I just haven't purchased it yet lol I think I might have to now it seems like a product that will work well for me
I just found your channel and I use that exact moisturizer at night! Completely agree with you it helped w my winter dry skin!!
The Colorscience sunscreen is a holy grail for me too!
So reliable for me!
@@DrSamEllis Does it smell? I have another colorscience sunscreen and it really smells heavily. Thanks!
Found you on you tube, I have rosacea but with combination skin. I was diagnosed 7 years ago. At time I didn`t have much information about the problem. I`m always trying new products and I have redness frequently... It`s good to have some advice. Thank you. You have a new subscriber.
So happy to have you here!
Love your videos! You are naturally beautiful!
Just found your channel & subscribed ❤️ Great selection of products
Thanks for the info! FYI the exact same formula of Colorescience spf is has been re-labelled as spf30 in Australia...according to our standards, it’s not spf50...still a very nice looking spf though!
They charge so much for Colorescience products, its not even spf50 😢
Could you maybe do a more affordable version of this video? Maybe an alternative for the spf, and vit c serum, those seem to be the more expensive items.
Try Timeless Vitamin C. Is brilliant.
@@debbiedejager2948 thank you!
Maelove glow maker is an exact dupe of the skin ceuticals one she is talking about and it’s only $28. It’s my holy grail!!
Is a pity we can’t get Maelove in the UK, and neither can we get the Timeless VitC 20% here so I get mine from a trusted seller on EBay
@@debbiedejager2948 maybe try out the geek and gorgeous vitamin c
Bought the Bioderma Sensibio light moisturizer and LRP Toleriane Ultra after your recommendations. Love both of them, thank you! Other holy grails are Clinique take the day off cleansing oil, LRP toleriane hydrating cleanser and LRP anthelios shaka spf 50+ 😍
I love Purpose cleanser when I am feeling irritated. I also LOVE Vanicream lotion.
Great products!! 👌👌
I completely agree about the spf. It’s not drying and looks good. The new mineral tinted sunscreen from drmtllgy is also very nice.
Love this video idea
Great products! I used most of them.
I loved the skinceuticals CE ferulic. But I unfortunately can't work at the moment and get disabled money. So I'm on a strict budget. I now use and love the geek and gorgeous c glow. It's affordable for me and I think it works great.
I would love to know your thoughts on this product.
Lots of love to y'all!
Thanks for this!
maelove vitamin c is a wonderful dupe for skin ceuticals!!!
I really enjoy your videos! What do you think of oils for cleansing and moisturizing? I would love to see a review regarding that topic. Thank you!
I somehow missed this video until a couple months ago. After, I began using Bioderma Sensiobio micellar water for my evening double cleanse. My skin sounds so much like yours. Bioderma is the best! It allows me to gently perform a first cleanse with no irritation and it soothes my skin. I also use it in the morning and then rinse my face thoroughly without cleanser. I’m going to try the La Roche-Posay moisturizer because I’m looking for a holy grail alternative to my regular Tula 24/7 moisturizer.
I have dry mature sensitive skin with occular rosacea. Emu oil blend from KALAYA has been so helpful. It is soothing (never stings never burns)
Thank you! It would be amazing if you could recommend products (as good as these are) for the cruelty free skincare community (and for people in general) 💕
Caudalie Resveratrol lift night cream and Nuxe super serum are my holy grail
Thanks Dr Ellis very nice products . Right now my holy grail is cera ve hydrating cleanser and my Vivier serum 10 for vitamin c. I’m very interested in the colour science . I like using good skincare . Enjoy your day 😊
Love that hydrating cleanser! I have the vivier serum but haven't tried that one yet! Thanks for sharing!
i'm so happy youtube recommended this because i have exactly the same skin type!! I just purchased that moisturizer yesterday out of a recommendation at the drugstore yay!
Products I go back to, Hydro Boost Gel Cleanser, LRP Toleriane Cleanser, cream and night cream, Cicaplast balm, and Dermallergo serum, Avene Tolerance Cream, The Ordinary Buffet, Neogen Essence, Neutrogena hydro boost for dry sensitive skin (the one with no fragrance). Going to introduce Inkey List PHA in the next few weeks. Have been using the LRP 50+, but going to try your recommendation, the LRP bring chemical stings my eyes when I go swimming.
Skinnies Conquer SPF 50 is my HG sunscreen and my HG repair item is the Aveeno Dermexa Daily Emollient Cream.
I love the 5% Mandelic Acid By Wishtrend, for exfoliation. Still working out my HG serum and moisturiser.
I do not DIY skincare... However... My unconventional HG is 10+ UMF Manuka Honey. Quality skincare is hard to find and extremely expensive in New Zealand, that said, wow do we have Manuka Honey laying around everywhere. I use it for masking, and at the moment for cleansing as my sensitive, rosecea prone skin (and now entering winter) is adjusting to Adapalne, and this is so soothing and nourishing..... And yummy lol it is proving a success so far.
A night of slugging with Eucerin healing ointment always does the trick if my skin barrier is a bit compromised.
I love the Eucerin healing ointment 🙌🏼
I love the Eucerin Aquaphor ointment. I, personally, think it's better than the CeraVe Healing Ointment.
I’ve been using Bioderma micellar water since 2019 and I love the green bottle. Takes off makeup like it was nothing, I always go back to it and I’ve never found something better
Very pretty and informative
Currently my favorite product is Aveeno calm and restore oat moisturizer. Never stings and if my skin is especially irritated it truly calms it down.
Awesome video! I LOVE how you break everything down! Have you ever tried Osea products? Curious on your thoughts with that line. Thanks!
Thank you! I actually haven’t but people seem to love them!
Just discovered your channel, what a beautiful person you are
How on earth do you know what kInd of person she is from this video?
@@markgoodwin183 Intuition, I may be wrong, time will tell
Can you do a little hair tutorial for how you get those waves? Do you use a curler or dyson air wrap?
YES!! Would love a hair routine video!
Great video 🥰
Thank you for this video. Could you please give another Antioxidant option? thanks again.
I love you! Thank you! ❤❤❤❤
I prefer to use products that have three or four different forms of Vit C. That way I know atleast one of them is working without much effort. I also use a lot of retinoids so it’s important that my Vit C doesn’t irritate my skin any further. Luckily my Vit C contains ceramides as well which helps to soothe my super sensitive skin. Xx from Australia
Hi! Which one do u use here in Oz ?
Zinc oxide is also reef safe, which to ME is pretty important
My HG: LRP Invisible Fluid, Toleriane Nuit, Toleriane Ultra Fluid, Lipikar Gel Lavant body cleanser, Curology, Avene Cicalfate. I just placed a huge order from a French Pharmacy website, and can I just say, that Cicalfate is like $26 on Amazon, and 6 Euros on the French website. Also the Toleriane is cheaper from France, and I think the formula is better. Oh, and I love the Timeless products too: 20% C , E and Ferulic, and their Co Q 10 Serum, also The Ordinary's 10% Lactic acid. Those are about all my holy grails.
La Roche-Posay Toleriane Ultra Moisturizer is the best!!
Right??
Hi! wondering if you have a suggestion for a sustainable and/or eco-friendly shaving cream. thank you for your videos, love your content. I always learn a lot
As someone with very sensitive skin, like it breaks out regardless of what I put on. Even products that previously used to work for me, now just stings, and causes contact dermatitis; red inflamed skin, red bumps, hives etc. I don’t even have acne prone skin. Never has. I didn’t use to wear any skin are products growing up. Not even sunscreen. And I didn’t start using a moisturizer until 2013. I started using sunscreen everyday like this year. I guess to much too son as I dived right into K-beauty, the Ordinary and CeraVe fall 2019, which led to Rosacea. I also found that I can’t use 90% of any skincare product because somehow I’ve managed to become allergic or sensitized to the most common ingredients/actives/chemical exfoliants; green tea, snail mucin, propolis, Niacinamide, Squalane, beeswax, AHA, BAHA, bamboo, witch hazel, almond oil, rose hip seed oil, jojoba, mugwort, bergamot, lavender oil etc. I guess it’s also related to my grass pollen, and food allergies, which also means I can’t use any products with derivatives from wheat/oat, almonds, and soy. Thermal water just dries out my skin. And I’m allergic to mineral makeup, which I found out when becoming a MUA.
What is your nail routine? They look so pretty!
This was awesome! Is there an alternative vitamin c oil with a similar formula but less expensive that you could recommend? Thank you!
I use all of those except for the serum. It’s on my wish list though.
