tears of joy I hope. I get melancholic for a much simpler time in my life, when I hear this song too, but it only brings back good memories when mom was still around, young and vibrant, and I was just a happy-go-lucky kid. The funny thing is that back then I always felt bad for the singer; thinking he must have felt really sad to perform a song like this. Music has the power to take one back to the time when they heard it and recall life memories. The power of the mind is more of a force than most realize.
Me, too. A lot of songs from our music brings my tears. It’s so beautiful, it is bittersweet, so much of our lives are in this song, and, for me, many more. 😢❤😊

Just discovered this live version...oh wow...this was posted 12 years ago and I'm finding it now at 2:30 in the morning....what a fantastic live sound, one of my favorites, I have a confession, I have always heard "be moist and quite" but its actually "big boys dont cry"....I still hear "be moist and quite"...to me its morbid as I'm imaginating being buried 6 foot down finally at peace....freed from love...but that's just me...;)
Without rock & roll of the 1950s followed by the pop explosion and innovation of the 1960s the 70s would not have been there. It was evolution of the very best.
I can remember write it in the car with my mother when I first heard this song, roughly about the year 1975. Every time I hear it it always brings by those memories when things were so simple. The Sun shined brighter, the food tasted better, and life was so much simpler. Hell, things are so now different than they were back in the seventies, you can no longer see Saturday morning cartoons.
Well, Lol Creme is on record as stating that it's the best track that he's ever had the pleasure of being involved with, so I suppose that it holds a pretty special place in all of their hearts...and why not?
This brings back such memories of hope and great times!! Music has the power to take one back to the time when they heard it and recall life memories. The power of the mind is more of a force than most realize.
I’m listening now, March 2021. Never tire of this masterpiece. Explains my early love life! Married now 52 years and I love her more than life!
Wow
Sounds like a simple phase you guys are going through. Hope you get another 20+ years of the simple phase. Congrats, and keep loving each other 👍
Congratulations. Your marriage sounds like fine wine that matures with age where the best is yet to come. God bless!

U r one lucky Man congratulations wife of 40 years said I DON'T LOVE U ANYMORE 😎

It’s beautifully composed….
Wow, when an older song hits you and you listen to it like it was your first time, good memories come out. Thank you 10cc. A magnificent performance

They sound so amazingly good. It blows my mind. So much appreciation and respect for such talent.
Beautiful, beautiful harmonies. Wonderful lyrics. I've been "not in love" a few times myself.
Yep. As soon as he started singing, my eyes filled with tears. Such a beautiful song, and it brings back so many precious memories...

Me, too. A lot of songs from our music brings my tears. It’s so beautiful, it is bittersweet, so much of our lives are in this song, and, for me, many more. 😢❤😊
If bees spilled it
That, ladies and gentlemen is without doubt one of the best live performances you are likely to ever hear. It is Perfect!!
I agree another good live performance is heart with these dreams done in Seattle about ten years ago you'll know your watching the one im talking about annie has no shoes on they did alot of that song but the one in Seattle is breathtaking like this look it up peace from Brooklyn New York
I turned 60, listening to this now is bringing tears to my eyes " be quiet, big boys don't cry"........................
Any time this song comes on the radio,
I'll turn it up.... Just a neat song that I wanted to share... Enjoy!
Anyone who can give this a thumbs down has no idea what pure talent is. Perfection.

Sure....you are right
I was 15 in 1975 and remember this very well, a much simpler time, I didn't know how good I had it ! This music brings me back,
Thank You all !!
I was 16 and it was the best time of my life and I knew it then and appreciated it very much. I partied like a fool (I live in Fort Lauderdale Florida LOL talk about babes!) worked at a bar! Yes at 16 lol and drove a Dodge Charger… my first car. I don’t smoke any more, but remember weed was $20 an OZ! Rolled a joint from the rolling paper that came with Cheech and Chong Big Bambu album… 😂
j'avais aussi 15 ans en 1975 cette musique est fantastique !
Totally agree, happy days where has it all gone wrong?
I was 15 then aswell the era was good then happy times back then for me not like now

I AM IN LOVE.
I was slow dancing to this in my mid teens.
This never gets tired.
I agree, never gets old. BUT when this was hit I was stationed at Camp Foster Okinawa when I was in the US Marine Corps. My girlfriend sent me a "Dear John Letter" I was heartbroken 💔
@@usmc-veteran7316 how many years ago was that?! Seems like a really long time ago, my friend… Please tell me that you got over your heart ache? 🤷♀️☺️
@julieyoutu it was 1975. I finished my 4 yrs in the Marine Corps in 1977. After that, I dated a lot of girls. Leap Year Evening, 29 Feb 80, I went out on a "Blind Date." Fell in love, and we were married on the First Day of Spring 21 Mar 81. So the Dear John Letter back in 1975 was the best thing to happen to me

64 here in Tampa still digging the oldies and remembering life then. 5 kids and 9 grandchildren later. Some of them dig grandpa’s music too. ❤️
Its too bad there will never be music like this again that can melt your heart and take you back to a better (or worse) time.
Its beautiful an old flame told me she heard this song on the radio today and thought of me I was 18 at the time fond memories
It is masterful how they layered the harmonies over the tracks to create that amazing sound.
Just discovered this live version...oh wow...this was posted 12 years ago and I'm finding it now at 2:30 in the morning....what a fantastic live sound, one of my favorites, I have a confession, I have always heard "be moist and quite" but its actually "big boys dont cry"....I still hear "be moist and quite"...to me its morbid as I'm imaginating being buried 6 foot down finally at peace....freed from love...but that's just me...;)
U.r.mest up
loved this song, so long ago, never realized how handsome this guy was til now!
In my lifetime the 70's has had the BEST music hands-down....
Truth!
You are correct, sir!
Without rock & roll of the 1950s followed by the pop explosion and innovation of the 1960s the 70s would not have been there. It was evolution of the very best.
@@grahamjones7328 Okay, because of evolution the 70's has had the best music but it has so far stopped there :)
Right...the 70's were great
I can remember write it in the car with my mother when I first heard this song, roughly about the year 1975. Every time I hear it it always brings by those memories when things were so simple. The Sun shined brighter, the food tasted better, and life was so much simpler. Hell, things are so now different than they were back in the seventies, you can no longer see Saturday morning cartoons.
Cartoons were deem violent, but letting criminals roam the streets is acceptable!
i suspect there is a fortune in bringing back what we recall was a great time
This song was so artsy when it came out. Still is! The harmonies are gorgeous. Well done!
The scurge of Manchester!
It was an honor to hear them playing this in the Lanxess Arena in Cologne 2001.

Hola, puedes explicarlo?
While watching, be sure to remind yourself: this is live. They're making it sound like this, *live* on stage.
The multi voices are recorded . No need to get that excited mate...
I figured there's a backing track, but they are harmonizing well and the lead singer sounds fantastic.
Well, Lol Creme is on record as stating that it's the best track that he's ever had the pleasure of being involved with, so I suppose that it holds a pretty special place in all of their hearts...and why not?
There is a video, a rather good one, about the making of this song that explains in detail how they did the backing track.
Magic!!!
IF this song doesn't go for the heart.....what an incredible, INCREDIBLE song, this is total perfection!
This is an all time classic. Why can’t they make great songs like this in 2024?
Whoever the sound engineer is on this production, kudos! Perfect blend and balance of vocals and instruments.
One of thee most under-rated bands and one of the most creative.
Amazing sound wonderful harmony
True dat
I think my sister was conseived to this song 😂
Absolutely agree!
This brings back such memories of hope and great times!! Flashes of scenes at the beach, going to the pool, movies, friends of all races, board games, spades, volleyball, basketball and cheating at Spades!! Young people listen up: it’s JUST LIKE the old people told me when I was 13!! Now I’m OLD and wondering where did the time go? How did I reach 60? 🤣🤣🤣 Time flies so make every day count.
This music is beautiful, it is even sublime, it is a treasure for those who have a musical collection. I'm here visiting and listening once again to this gem in Vila Velha ES. A big hug to everyone who appreciates good music.
Utterly magical, spectacular performance. Beautiful voice and harmonies, not many truly talented bands like this anymore ❤
