How To Prepare Pumpkin Soup (Miyan Taushe | Miyan Waina)

  • Miyan Waina or Miyan Taushe is the Hausa name for Pumpkin soup and is mostly prepared and eaten in the Northern part of Nigerian with Masa/Waina or Swallow of choice.
    INGREDIENTS
    500g of Pumpkin
    1 cup of groundnuts
    1 kg of beef
    18 pieces of fresh tomatoes
    18 pieces of habanero pepper
    22 pieces of chili pepper
    1 ½ cup of Vegetable oil
    1 1/2 cup of Palm oil
    Spring Onion (optional)
    2 bunch of African Spinach (Aleyahu)
    2 medium onion bulb
    13 seasoning cubes
    Salt

      You can eat the masa or waina with granded kuli kuli.

      I'm not sure about that because I only know about using normal groundnut. Kuli kuli is already processed so it won't give you same outcome.
      But you can give it a try out if you want.
