At a glance, it looks like the 338 Lapua moved the plate about 8", back and forth from where it hung at rest. The Sledge looked like it moved the plate about 20", while the 416 Barrett looked like a solid 24" and was also more violently impacted than by the Sledge...at 1,000 yards, that is awesome. (With the 416 Barrett, it would have swung further if the cables were longer)
As Tony Stark stood next to the widow close enough to feel her warmth while admireing the .416 from the corner of his eye and looking into her eyes. And saying I want it. With a slight swoon she said me? To which he replied hell no!.. I'll take the 416!
I've seen you shoot and can't believe you hit it! (with the rifle or the hammer) Kidding of course. I was surfing YT and found this and was glad to subscribe to one of the best shooters I've ever seen. Hope to see you soon.

Can anyone inform me how exactly to get 416 Barrett ammo? Every single ammo store online is out of stock, even Barrett is out of stock. Has the round been discontinued? I want the M99 but will not buy it if ammo isn't made anymore. Perhaps they are only backordered, no one online seems to clarify what the issue is exactly.
Barrett changed it's brass supplier to RWS and between manufacturing snafus and customs, there has been a ridiculous supply drought. It's all supposed to clear customs by the end of the year, but who knows? This is the first time in 6 years I've been shooting 416B that the ammo hasn't been just a click away from an online store.
Ok thanks a lot for the info. I will wait to see if it comes back in stock soon before purchasing an M99. Seems super irresponsible to me that Barrett is still selling the guns knowing good and well it is impossible (and has been for quite a while) to get the ammo but maybe I am alone in that thought. I'll keep watching out for it.
Thanks for clarifying. I will continue to wait and see if it becomes available again soon before buying the gun. Seems crazy to me Barrett does not make this blatantly clear that there is an issue instead of pretending there is no problem. I even called them but they acted surprised by my call like they weren't aware there was an issue seems very strange.
Now do the hammer at 1000 yards
That .416 round is screaming along at roughly 3,450 feet per second with a bullet weight of 299 grains. She hits like a fully loaded freight train
This is an incredible video and the fact that you hit a target at 1000yards with a sledgehammer is just impressive.
hands down the best vid on youtube. quick and to the point. and very educational.

The 416 barret is insane way better than most big bore

Switching to your hammer is faster than reloading.
U should see the impact behind a 50 bmg the barret 416 is roughly 10,000ftlbs the 50 BMG is 13,400ftlbs
Yeah no, turns out that at 1000 yards the 50 would be weaker than a 416. you can look it up.

Nice video
The 416 has more energy than 50BMG at this distance.
why no 50 bmg???
he may be in california
@@someguitarist2729 Just saw a Barrett 82a1 in .416 here in the Bay Area. God I wish I had $8500 plus tax to blow.

416 is *finally* back in stock at the barrett site
Buy Cutting Edge Bullet 😄
I have 1 thing to say to the man at the end of the video! ROLL TIDE
No good, rifle hit the edge of the plate
the 338 hit low edge as well....
No 50? Bogus !
Forgotten probably... 416 hits harder than 50 at that range
