Yes, the service on SQ is always excellent, even flying Economy, BUT if you can treat yourself one day to a Business Class flight it is an unforgettable experience ! 👍👍✈✈

Here in the States they sell a 'sleeping spray' that you can spray on your pillow to help you fall asleep. I wonder if something like that is sold at one of your destinations or in your hometown. Who knows, it might help you :) Wishing you all the best!

My goodness, the erratic sleeping hours, not sleeping for 24h is insane! Back then in my University, there was a fellow course mate who was older than all of us. I later learnt that she became an SIA stewardess, right after graduating from JC. Extremely smart move. She got to see the world, saved more than enough to pay off her school fees, and go into the workforce DEBT free! Probably also saved enough to have a down payment for a BTO with fiancé even. Isn’t that a brilliant move?!

Let’s not forget how the starting pay for NS men is also higher, and interview questions like “do you have plans of having a kid in this 2 years”, “how many kids do you intend to have”.

I had a connecting flight from Tokyo to Singapore and then Malaysia, it was unplanned because my first flight was late. I was nervous to fly because I didn't know this company (i don't travel often) and i remember being sooooo impressed at the staff so well dressed and polite and the plane was so perfect and big. It was the best experience! I wish you would have shown how you do your hair 😊

Just wanted to tell you about a quick cure for mouth ulcers. Put 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda (bi-carb soda) in 1/2 cup of water. Swish your mouth with it, spit out, and swish again, and hold it in your mouth for about 5 minutes, and then spit out. Do not drink water or rinse your mouth for a few hours or overnight. The next morning, it will be gone.
Oh man, reminded me of my journey too. I flew for 10y and spent the last 4y studying to earn my honours degree. Left the year after I grad. That was like 2007, no online lessons last time, had to change flights to attend classes 😅
quite nice to earn and learn at the same time. I think for extroverts, the best time to make friends is in uni. But if you're an introvert like me I think it's perfect to spend the last 2 years of poly and 3 years of uni in SIA. Graduate with 5 years experience and money to last a year traveling and looking for a job that fits you instead of getting lowballed

If I ever worked as a flight attendant, I think all my hair would fall off within a month. It’s crazy how you’re on standby even though it’s your day off. The amount of hours including preparation is way over the norm, your jet lag will cause you to lose sleep, and feels like you can’t really live a normal life. Not to mention, the pay isn’t amazing even with the benefits

It’s strictly not allowed, I’ve already left the company. I filmed as much as possible before I left for my memory and I thought it’ll be good to make into UA-cam videos since no one is allowed to do so! Yes I have make up clips too I’ll upload it soon in the future 🥰

Hotels are all provided by company and they have contracts with those hotels. Daily dining yes technically(?), but to us it’s just part of our pay. No points and benefits.

What makeup products do you use? Obviously as cabin crew what you have is long lasting non smudging... It's nice to see cabin crew having nice accomodation... but goodness what a schedule takes a toll on the body after a while can imagine

If I ever worked as a flight attendant, I think all my hair would fall off within a month. It’s crazy how you’re on standby even though it’s your day off. The amount of hours including preparation is way over the norm, your jet lag will cause you to lose sleep, and feels like you can’t really live a normal life. Not to mention, the pay isn’t amazing even with the benefits

It’s strictly not allowed, I’ve already left the company. I filmed as much as possible before I left for my memory and I thought it’ll be good to make into UA-cam videos since no one is allowed to do so! Yes I have make up clips too I’ll upload it soon in the future 🥰

Do you get to pick your hotels at each location? Include a daily dining credit? or are those out of pocket? Finally, I assume you will also collect all the points/benefits as well?
Hotels are all provided by company and they have contracts with those hotels. Daily dining yes technically(?), but to us it’s just part of our pay. No points and benefits.
Hotel discounts(?) if it is a benefit to you!
