After flying for 33 years as a flight attendant with Lufthansa, I can understand your decision to quit this job. At least, not to work as a flight attendant is definitely much healthier, no more jetlags, no more endless night flights. For me it was THE job of my life, I joined Lufthansa at the age of 22, and I took advantage of Lufthansa's early retirement scheme in 2015, at the age of 55. I enjoyed countless layovers in Singapore and Seoul during these 33 years. And in almost all countries of our planet. I can very well remember my very last flight in March of 2015. I have chosen a 5-day trip across Europe, including one day off in Stavanger, Norway, for my 'farewell-duty trip'. A similar trip I started my career with 33 years ago. After my last landing at our home base at Frankfurt airport, the captain made a very emotional farewell public announcement to the passengers, thanking me for 33 years of service for Lufthansa. It really drove a little tear in my eyes, and when the passengers left the aircraft, almost everyone shook my hand (the European way of saying goodbye warmly)😢 Now I enjoy my retirement, but still enjoying the advantage of the possibility to buy ID-tickets for the rest of my life. I look forward to visiting Seoul again as soon as possible. One of my favorite layovers! 😊 All the best for you, and take care!
I agree with Hazeline regarding the language learning. Language learning requires hard work dedication and definitely one has to learn the vocab, grammar, the technicalities that come with the language. That's why self learning a language is much harder compared to going to a language school or learning from a teacher.
Im glad you made the right choice for you and your health by changing careers, good on ya 💪 I can definitely see this channel growing in the future, your style is relaxing and comforting. And I really like this Q&A style, cafe hopping keeps it visually engaging 😊 Also being from Canada, I think you would enjoy visiting Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver (also the Rockies! 🍁)
Thanks for liking this video 💛 and I’ll sure visit those places one day!! People around me don’t really talk about Canada, so I don’t know much! But I would like to visit hopefully within a few years time!
I just flew to Singapore last week in Singapore Airline A380. One of my favourite flight all the flight attendants are so helpful. My all time love is Singapore and its airline.❤
Hello Hazeline, Happy new year to you.. Greetings from singapore. Enjoy your sharing and looking forward to see your videos in 2024! I love your earrings! Kamsa hamnida ! :)

yaayy my question got answered!! congratulations on all the big steps and changes you made this year, it's not easy stepping out of your comfort zone and putting yourself first when you know you want something different!! so interesting to learn more about you through this q&a, and I'm excited to watch more of your content going forward. here's to a new year full of health and happiness 🎉🎉
I had a long career in airlines so I miss your aviation content but I’m happy that you were able to enjoy it for as long as you did and now can get some good sleep!
Thanks for answering my question 😊. And happy New year. And about airports..changi..yes, its beautifull...i been there 2 times..Taipe i love too. But my number one is Schiphol ( Amsterdam ) because its for me leaving point and coming home. So im not really objective😊
I was in Inchoen over Christmas and it Cold and Cold. Even the airport was cold but got Shake Shack twice in 3 days. Lotte Mart is the best market in the world.
@@hazelinefoo No. I was born in Busan and just like visiting Korea. First time I was in Korea in December and it was cold and cold. The good thing was it did not snow. I am used to hot weather. Good luck on your Korean studies.
Hi Hazeline! How are you? Hello from Singapore. Could you do convenience stores? Hahahaha i’m obsessed. Anyways, happy new year and good luck in Korea 🇰🇷
Hi Hazeline, I would like to pick up Korean language too, conversational purposes. Do you recommend foundation or beginners class at OnlyYou? Online or physical lesson?
Because of flights, I did 1-1 physical lesson until Covid then I switch to online. But I recommend physical group lesson because there’s more interaction and someone to practice with!
we almost have the same stories. I quit working as a cabin crew and now i'm a full-time student hehe. btw something about you reminds me of Jessica Jung, former member of girls' generation 😂
Hello! Based on my experience, If I generalize, Koreans are quite vocal and expressive, they can show love and care through facial expression, words and actions very well. They don’t hide it usually. In your case, I guess there was communication problem and their facial expression and tone of voice sounds negative to you. But I think they are just feeling frustrated that they can’t communicate. So I hope you don’t take it so hard. Happy new year! 😀
Hazeline,i suggest you reach out and make friend with jeanette ong, her youtube channel is jeanette's world. She is your ex senior sia stewardess. She is singaporean married to korean. Both of you will hit it off ,she is living near hongdae and working parttime in cafe 😊
Good on you for getting out of your comfort zone. The fact that you took the chance means you have limitless possibilities. The first step is hardest step and I am also seeking a change too now.

Can you do a vlog where you only speak Korean? I love when you speak it! Great job learning it and touring the city alone care hoping.
Thank you! Ok I’ll try 🤭
Hi Hazeline! What do you think of the Korean people in Korea? They come off very unwelcoming when compared to the Japanese. 😢
