These rating climb videos are a real gem for people who want to learn chess but can't get books and DVDs for whatever reason. You are doing great work Levy, thank you for awesome chess content.
Thank you for doing these levy, they really have been meaning a lot. I've been getting so much joy from these rating climbs, it's been making my days so much better, thank you.
Just 6 months ago levy said in his own words “ I’ll never hit 2800 on chess.com.” Happy you’re still improving and returning to some over the board chess.
Hey Levy, fantastic video. Great material to learn from. That's awesome you became an IM while in Calgary as I currently live in Calgary... keep up the amazing content. Best chess channel hands down!!

I wondered why YT suggested this specific video all of a sudden. Good content aside, my guesses: 1:02:07 -- don't lose your title by taking a phone to the bathroom and using an engine or 47:31 -- all the reasons that made Levy decide it wasn't worth putting in the effort to become a GM. First one is surprisingly topical. Second one is an interesting contrast to see how people change their mind over time. Props to random guy who hopped into chat to be optimistic about the GM idea. If he's still around, I'm sure he's happy with the current course of events.
2021 wasn't much better Levy, sorry to dissapoint... You're channel blew up tho, you're now the biggest chess channel. Congrats and keep up the good work :)
For the Twitch viewer(s) who wondered about "LevyEnRose", it's a reference to "Le Vie En Rose" - a song that probably all have heard, but maybe not everyone knows the name of :) BTW brilliant reference, Levy, I just love that sort of wordplay. Also, huge thanks for these speedrun/climb series - got me up to 1300 rapid, which is a lifetime first, and will probably provide educational value for hundreds of rating points to come (assuming I ever climb those hundreds of rating points).
Yes and probably the second reason for this name is because Eric Rosen plays the London system a lot (Levy and Eric had a match in which Rosen had to play the London every single game). And good job on improving your chess, what is your rapid elo now? :)
Hey Lev, really enjoying your climbs! I know chat/youtube comments bother you all the time with becoming a GM, but man, going for it with Hikaru as your coach would be the most epic chess series on youtube and twitch. IM Levy is alright though, just a thought. Cheers from Uruguay.
