- Beers with Neil are always good fun. We chat, catch up and natter all the time. But, as he would try and convince me “Beer is King” - in that the beer is more important than the venue. We debated this point while we were wandering, visiting pubs and enjoying pints of a range of ales.
We start our tour in Limehouse, wander to Wapping, return past Tower Bridge and end near the Tower. A few pints were enjoyed along the way. The pubs we visited are lovely - and well worth a further visit.
I hope you enjoy watching this video and feel that you have tagged along with me.

Just love your pub tours and cannot wait for the next one. I know these pubs well. I used to have lunch once a week in the Grapes in Narrow Street and it was always good. The most surprising pub is The Town of Ramsgate, which in the late 80s was a lovely little local pub unchanged by time. At lunchtime the drinkers were old retired East Enders having a pint at their local and I have to say I preferred it as it was.
It's nice to think back on places once visited often. And yes, some places change, for the better maybe, or not. Thank you for following along. Another tour has been done and video to follow in a while. Cheers, Warren :)
Perfect day out Warren
We had another great day out indeed. Thank you for following along and commenting. Cheers, Warren
Brilliant guys, loved it , thank you very much , especially carrying the camera around all day . Them open fires , ahhh, that’s where I’ll be at . 👍
Thank you for joining us on the tour. I just my phone for these tours held by a small grip/stand. Basic but less obvious when I walk in and around the venues. Thanks for your comment, cheers, Warren :)
I was just in London this past Dec. from USA, I stayed at Citizen M there in Tower Hill and used Tower Gateway to get to Limehouse to see a friend that lived in the building on the right of those 4 at 4:45, we walked all over that area including that area at 5:09, took a pic in front of the Grapes it's a nice area and picturesque. London is a great city.
Hey welcome to England then! Hope you had a great visit for however long you managed to stay. London is such a vibrant place with different styles and vibes in the many different areas. Cheers, Warren :)
Another good interesting video good work
Glad you enjoyed it, cheers, Warren :)
The Grapes Ian Mckellen owns that pub, my friends live literally around the corner, been in there many times 👍 The Prospect Of Whitby is also a pub I've frequented, there's a secret beach down the side alley with a hangman's noose. I've been in the next pub too 🤣🤣 I've walked all those routes mainly first thing in tbe morning after a night out in London... Love tower bridge so much. Great viddy 👍
Hey now then - how about that! Such a lovely part of town with lots of pubs to visit. If you can recommend any more pubs then another visit would then be a priority! Cheers, Warren :)
Sure wish we had a rapid transit system from the suburbs into Halifax...would make exploring the downtown so much easier. A tremendous day indeed! Bruce and Otis
For sure a rapid transit system would be great. I don't know Halifax very well, is there a local train line at all? What are the pubs like in the centre? Cheers, Warren :)
Love these videos
I do rather like a trip in to London, especially when a few pints are on the agenda and a chatch-up with my mate too. Cheers, Warren :)
These pub tours are an interesting watch.
Nice places around the river 👌
Watching a couple of old soaks soaking up the atmosphere in more ways than one. Whay a great way to loose a day. Food looked ok as well. Like these travel style vlogs never know where you end up. Bushyboy Oz.
Good food, good ales, and great chat and company with my mate too. All good :) Thanks for following along. Cheers, Warren
The views of the river at sunset were so special. Not been to that area of London for probably 40 years. Need to go back again. More pubs to explore as well ;) Cheers, Warren
Personally samuel smith pubs ive liked when been in them. 4 of us this Saturday going from Limehouse to Tower of london on a pub crawl. Be trying Turners old star, Dockers Inn and wapping tavern for first time in the area
Ahh thank you, just catching up with some older replies. Cheers, Warren :)
As lovely as the Prospect of Whitby was, it's now GreedyKing. I miss the pub Landlord since a chain offers disinterested staff on minimum wage. Although Heineken, our local in Rotherhithe has that old vibe during the day as does the Turner. You may want to traverse the river south and try the Mayflower, Angel, Old Justice and a cheeky pop in to the Brunel ;-)
Thank you for the suggested pubs. They are now on the list 👍🤠
Old brewery bitter, always always better on cask ,and better up north
Yep, agreed indeed. Can't always get a proper cask ale though. Thanks for tagging along. Cheers, Warren :)
Set playback speed to 1.5. You're welcome.
You are most welcome, at whatever speed suits. Cheers, Warren :)
