Limehouse basin was a hive of activity for us in the the summer I learned to swim in limehouse cut ashwell as exploring all the abandoned warehouses an bombsites we never had alot but had plenty to explore one of the last concerns I remember still up an running was the paper mills a great source for old comics an err top shelf material we had no right setting eye on.
This is a great blog !! My great-grandfather came to NYC in 1870. His birthplace is listed as " Bridge " UK. The present day Bridge is a bit too posh to have been the place that Greatgranpa left. I have an idea there is another Bridge , perhaps in London itself.I. am going to start searching more diligently This cid has really motivated me. Many, many thanks
