During our Summer Gathering of some Hillman Imp Owners, a small team of experts, namely Tim Sears and daughter, helped me replace the rubber seal around my windscreen. Long overdue it had become rather leaky and in rainy weather was tending to let water in to the car. My thanks go to Tim and his helper for their skill and expertise to help swap the rubber seal over. There were many other folk o...

Starting at Meldon, just out from Oakhampton, Dan of @camplifebushcraft and I head out to the moors, under the impressive Meldon Viaduct and then up on to the moors past the reservoir. Black Tor, then High Willhays Tors are first, then on to Yes Tor and up to West M...

    This is Wensleydale Railway 🚃 that it’s a heritage railway 🚃 in perhaps 🤔 Yorkshire in the north of England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. The pacer trains 🚂 🚊 🚆 are clickety clackety trains 🚂 🚊 🚆 that bounce up 🔝 🆙 ⬆️ and down ⬇️ on the railway 🚃 track 🛤️ everyday. Inside the class 142 pacer trains 🚂 🚊 🚆 , it’s cold 🥶 and are very noisy 🗣️. I’ve been on the class 142 and 143 pacer trains 🚂 🚊 🚆. The 2 car class 142 pacer trains 🚆 🚊 🚂 are crappy 💩 trains 🚆 🚊 🚂 is because they are uncomfortable 😣 😳 🥴. There is a fire 🔥 extinguisher 🧯 in the DMSL - Driving Motor Standard Lavatory 🚻 🚽 🚾. There are class 140 - 144 pacer trains 🚂 🚊 🚆 that are standard class accommodation only. Class 142 pacer trains 🚆 🚊 🚂 didn’t receive the second NT - Northern livery is because they were scheduled 📆 📅 off lease by late ⏰ 2020 and replaced by brand new 🆕 trains 🚆 🚊 🚂. It includes class 144s, 153s DMUS - Diesel ⛽️ Multiple Units and class 321/9 and 322 EMUS - Electric ⚡️ Multiple Unit trains 🚆 🚊 🚂. The class 140 - 144 pacer trains 🚆 🚊 🚂 has bins 🗑️ 🚮 provided, open windows 🪟, no smoking 🚭 accommodation is because it’s prohibited 🚫, luggage 🧳 rack, automatic operating doors 🚪, a ladder 🪜, a toilet 🚻 🚾 🚽 in the DMSL - Driving Motor Standard Lavatory 🚻 🚾 🚽 and most are now used for preserved railways 🚃 🚆 in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿. Most of the crappy 💩2 car class 142 pacer trains 🚂 🚆 🚊 have already gone to the scrapyard . Good 👍 😊 😌. Middle finger 🖕 to the crappy 💩 2 car class 142 pacer trains 🚆 🚊 🚂. It serves them right. Wow that is a special comment - so many clever emojis included. Thank you for taking the time and trouble and creativity in the use of the emojis. The Pacer units were very uncomfortable but they did a fair job for long enough. They had to go though - but nice that a few are kept for preservation. Just shows how newer trains have improved in so many ways. Back in the early 1800s there were many open waggon carriages! Cheers, Warren :)

    Really enjoyed this, especially the detailed examination of the Meldon viaduct. I have heard there is a plan to reconnect Okehampton to Plymouth by rail via Tavistock and presumably this viaduct. Something that never seems to be mentioned on these more-than-one-night wild camps, and that is defecation. Any comment?

      We were really very impressed with the viaduct. Such a great example of Victorian railway engineering. It good that it has been retained for use as a footpath. It looks lovely down there! Well done to all those who made it happen, canals enhance the countryside a great deal in my opinion

      Totally agree, it takes a lot of time, effort and cash to redevelop canals like this. Worth it though. Thank you for watching and commenting. Cheers, Warren :)

      I knew from research beforehand that I was to expect a good day out and I was better than I had expected. The panting of the Castle up the bank was fantastic. Highly recommend a visit. Cheers, Warren :)

    That was a top walk Warren. You guys always seem to be eating - at least the trails a calorie burn. And how about that hit at the end. A good result I'd say. Well, I'm enjoying the fun. Mark

      Hey Mark thank you for sticking with Dan and I on this extended adventure. We enjoyed this day even though we got rather wetter than would be idea. Wet boots for a few days is not good at all. Day 3 video follows on. Cheers, Warren :)

    Dear Warren, what a wonderful & nostalgic trip...My last steam engine trip was from Mettupalayam to Coonoor in India...We almost got choked in one of the tunnels...The loco-pilot chugged us slowly but surely out of danger...Loved your unusual sing-song commentary...Cheers from Bangalore...

      Nice to hear from you all the way from Banalore :) And welcome to my channel :) The loco had to work very hard to get up the bank, such good sounds. Thank you for watching, Cheers, Warren :)

    Very good and informative watch! Fantastic weather and the beer looked good! I had hoped to visit the CVR in May when 4079 was there but was having car issues at the time... so thanks for uploading this... let me sort of experience something I missed out on!

      Hey sorry that you missed 4079 there. The energetic climb up that steep gradient was amazing! I hope you liked the full coverage of the pull up the bank. Thank you for commenting, cheers, Warren :)

    What are you using for audio? Quality sounds very good but can't see any external microphones?

    • @Linleys
      @Linleys 8 днів тому

      I sometimes use a Rode Go2 pair of lapel mics, or a clipon wired lapel mic for my phone but when I'm out and about I usually rely on my GoPro or phone mic. Not always the best but convenient. Cheers, Warren :)
