Gorgeous as always ! I love them pearls. It came out so very nice. Its a nice change for you. Good to see you doing something diff. Beautiful. Now your giving me ideas. Thank you for this. ❤
I love watching your videos and you are using one of my favorite techniques. I do have a tip though that I hope you find helpful. I do a lot of pours but the table I use is my very nice dining room table and what I have found to be the most absorbent and cheapest is craft paper. I buy the largest roll at 48" x 200 ft and on Amazon its about 26 to 30 bucks. And I cannot say enough about this paper. I covered my whole dining room table in about 3 layers of that paper and then I cut off large pieces that I then cut in half and use for each of my pours. Sometimes I'll do 3 or 4 pours in a day and yet a roll will last me anywhere from 4 to 6 months. I see so many artists using the doggy pads which I know must be expensive. And even after multiple pours using the same paper I have NEVER once had the paint go through. Not only that I can easily save left over paint and mix it to use in other paintings. I promise I am not trying to sell anything but I thought this was a tip you might find useful.
Dwight, you know I've been watching you from almost the beginning. You have just grown so much in a really short period of time! I love this pour! The simplicity is just amazing! The blue and the white cells are just gorgeous!! I am in awe. I've tried this type of pour so many times and mine surely don't look anywhere as beautiful as yours!! 💙🤍
Lol...well, when I started, the only place in my house where my cats couldn’t get into things was on the floor of my guest bathroom...so, I’m used to painting that way!
You’re very grounded ;) oh my goodness, I live with a Black German Shepherd that sheds 13 months of the year! Pet Hair is the nemesis of the fluid painter!!!!
Metallics do have a lot to do with it but it’s also the chemical reaction and the movement of the paint. Thinned paints tend to create more cells then thicker paints. I don’t use any silicone!
Love your work! I must be doing something wrong because I don’t get cells that fast? R all your recipes 1-1-1 flo paint and water for paints and base? This is new technique for me and I Love it!💜
This is so pretty, delicate and lacey. Question:. Is the Floetrol added in equal proportions to the water? Is the Floetrol/water mix added in equal parts with the paint? Is white paint mixed the same as colors in your cup? Love your results and would love to achieve this look. Would appreciate your feedback... Thanks.
I'm in love with your work!! I'm curious if you can help me...I don't need any of your recipes or anything like that. I hate seeing canvas on a dried pour...pet peeve. If I leave too much, it cracks. I watched a video a couple of years ago where the lady stuck a toothpick in to check how much paint was on there....had the right amount to keep it from cracking...but she didn't show how much paint was on the toothpick which would really help me!! I have watched hundreds of pours...nobody else has checked it that way! Can you estimate how much paint you don't tilt off or stick a toothpick in so I can see it??!! Brain disease progression is making it harder for me to pour so I'm looking for "tricks" to help me keep pouring. Hoping you and all your loved ones are healthy!! Sending warm regards from Kentucky!
I have no idea about the toothpick trick...but there is a chart that tells you how much paint you need to cover your canvas. So it’s very helpful. I always make a little more and stretch and stretch. Too much left on canvas can cause cracking but so can drying temperature variations etc.
All of your paint appeared to be extremely thin is that the case? I would love to try to get this effect with my own pours. Was there silicone in any of your colors? Or is this just the effect of pouring? thank you so much for your time and answering these questions! This is an amazing piece of art!
@@dwightpours1261 which is.....? ! I'm using a ratio of 1 paint 1 medium and 1 water. Gets reasonably good results but not perfect. Any help or advice you can give would be much appreciated.
morning, typically i use 1 part paint to 2 parts floetrol with a drizzle of liquitex pouring medium. floetrol is a conditioner that allows you to use less paint but get more use out of, liquitex is a binder and it keeps the pigments in check as you stretch the paints. the base coat is more difficult and you'll have to play around with proportions and thickness...i use 2-3 parts floetrol to 1-2 parts paint with 1/2-1 part satin enamel and liquitex drizzle with water to thin....its just a guide to work with!! hope that helps
Another beauty, Dwight. Love the wintry colors and the simplicity. What size cups are you filling? 3 oz? 6 oz? I’m scraping more paint than I care to admit... 🙄
Are the cells created by the thin paint? Or the metallic paint? I love your art! I would love to do one that doesn't cell up quite as much. Any way of doing that?
I really love it. Love those long white cells.

Master of the Cell.

Your Video gave me some intrigue. I tried this technique last night awesome 👍👍👍
Love the minimal art!!!
I am in awe of your intriguing technique. I so enjoy watching it take on a life of its own
fabulous pour Dwight!!!
Absolutely gorgeous
This is beautiful! Love the cells and the pop of color
Absolutely amazing 🤩
Amazing art!thank you so much for sharing.💕
It looks like ice breaking up over the ocean. Wonderful!
This one is so different to the others, the cells are bigger. I still love it🥰🇦🇺
Very cool!
I'd love this on a wall! ❤
Very interesting effect. I like ir

GORGEOUS outcome! LOVE this color combo with your style!
Another masterpiece.👏
Love the color combination!!! This is stunning!!
Beautiful! I agree with you on the orientation.
Rainy here too but will change to snow soon... Bahumbug.
This looks pretty good
Thanks for sharing Dwight.

Wow, love those cells especially the ones that showed up in the blue. Have not seen any painters paint on the floor like you do. Cool.

Fantastica arte!
Just love those"pearls"
So even the white is mixed the same without additional additives?
Very nice! Reminds me of snow and ice crystals!
I think its beautiful !!! can you please tell me which liquid are you using to create those incredible cells and pearls ? thanks !
This is an old video, not sure, but I’m thinking I probably used some satin enamel in the white. But you don’t need that to get the pearls…
That is really cool 👍
Waaay cooool! 👍👍👍👍👍What is the idea of painting white with brush in the beginning?
When your paints are so thin, covering the edges and corners helps the paint stick so the canvas doesn’t snow through
I love this!!!
Love this What made the big cells , just just the metallic ?? New to this
Metallics do have a lot to do with it but it’s also the chemical reaction and the movement of the paint. Thinned paints tend to create more cells then thicker paints. I don’t use any silicone!
Could you show the consistency of the paints? Is the white the same consistency as the others?
How did I miss this video?! Love the final. Your cells are so beautifully round. Oh, hey, I’m from WNY too. 👍🏻
Beautiful lacing!
Can you please tell me if you would still get the cells without the torch? Thank you, it's beautiful!
They should come up naturally…I only use the torch to pop bubbles!
@@dwightpours1261 Oh, thank you.
@@dwightpours1261 Thanks for letting me know, I always thought the torch created the cells🙄!!
Love the result , Do you using house paint for the white base?
I really like this piece...it's so soft!!
Amazing art indeed💕💕
Another gorgeous one !! I think you need a gardeners knee pad to save your knees down the road !! Lol ❤️
My abs are strong! Lol so far so good with the knees....just how k started a few years ago on the floor of my bathroom!

Really cool. What is your base paint?
Artist Loft Acrylic Flow White with floetrol and water...sometimes I add titanium white from Amsterdam
Great job once again!
Beautiful. Does this have satin enamel in the base coat?
Yes
So beautiful! ❤️❤️❤️
How did you get the pearls?? Beautiful
Could you share your white pearl recipie? Your work is beautiful.
This is really beautiful.
Very interesting
Thanks for the video Dwight...it's beautiful. Do you have a video with the recipes you use?
Yes, my collaboration with Sara Taylor has recipes in the notes!

I would have been very interested in the answer to this question. ;-)
Awe man !!! This one is just beautiful 😍 ❤
Did you use house paint for background or white acrylic with floetrol and water...beautiful work
Can you show the consistency of your paint? Is white thinner?
They are pretty equal
This is stunning. That blue is electric!
너무너무 멋지네요~~^^
Love this type of painting, tried a couple but no cells coming up for me.
Same for me...I think it depends on the special brands
Your paints need to be quite thin...almost Dutch pour thin
Thin paint, pouring medium, and if you want lots of cells, add silicone oil. Any acrylic paint should cell with the right recipe
I’m the same, no cells using your same formula. Please help me
That us so freaking coo i am going to try it again tonight . Detailed notes lol... love the pearls..
What did you spray at the end to make the cells pop up?
No spraying, I’m torching my work frequently to get bubbles out and to hopefully promote the cells
Do you mind if I do this gorgeous Dwight pour and give you credit?? Of course if I can ever do what you do! I love the vertical position on the wall.
Sure!
How did you get the cells what did you put on it plz
I absolutely love this, it's gorgeous and my favorite colors 💙💙 what would you charge for this one?
Thank you! I’m waiting to see how it dries...I’ll try to post the dried results either in my next video or a separate short video
Hi dwight, i just started following you. You just use floetrol in your white base coat?
No there is paint and satin enamel and liquitex pouring medium
I liked it, did you add silicone oil?
No silicone.
super
Thanks, how beautiful and unusual👌👌👌💯💯💯, and what did you add to the paint for the cells? and what color?
He uses paint and then equal parts floetrol and water to thin that's all he says
@@Love72YourselfWhat color of paint did you add floetrol to? thanks.
Hi! What varnish do you recommend?
I use grumbacher from Michaels
@@dwightpours1261, thanks!
Do you use the liquid bottle or the spray?
Why do you use the torch?
To pop the air bubble in the paint so it doesn’t ruin the painting when it dries.

Love the cells! Is the Floetrol you use Australian or American?
It doesn't matterm
Oops....matter.
I believe American ( I've used American and it works fine)

Thinned paint so that...so if slightly thicker less cells!
