Never seen a pour like this. The finish was stunning. It looked like the stormy ocean and sky competing as the sun was trying to come out. Coolest painting i have ever seen
Thank you so much! I just got my supplies for my birthday, but none of my pours came out very well. However, with your tutorial, I got my very first gorgeous pour on an 8"x8" canvas. I'm so happy after all my disappointments. I used Mont Marte paints with your ratios and the consistency was perfect! New subscriber here.
Unfortunately it doesn’t work well with cheaper paints. If Amsterdam is within your budget - great. Just remember you use so much extra paint 50mls to 30mls water. The cheaper paints don’t have enough pigment. I hope you have lots of lovely paintings if you can find a cheaper paint that works. Floetrol is much cheaper to use than so much paint. 120mls of white paint for just the basecoat is one full tube.
@Rael Picot Yes you are completely right... I tried this with cheap paints and used so much paint [full 60ml tube] then also this didn't work....better you do a good investment by buying expensive pouring medium with is worth it.
What people don't realize, is that you have to use so much more paint when you just use water. (And paint is the most expensive part) Also, Amsterdam is a high quality paint.....donr try this with budget paints or craft paints or you will not get these good of results upon drying.
Hy Sarah, have fun trying it out 🙃 and the other comments: The video is primarily aimed at people who want to paint a picture or two themselves. Most casting media are only available in large containers. This is only worthwhile for people who regularly paint pictures.
Cool for small budget ! This technique with only water gives the opportunity to those who can't spend much money to practice pouring art, and I think it's pretty great. It remembered me when I was a young and broke student, using white acrylic paint for buildings as a base and colored it with bad pigments. It made me feel like trying, even if I can afford specific stuff now, and I was a little bit disappointed by the result. Indeed, the colors are dull and I can see some small cracks on the paint after drying. These inconveniences never happen when I use a real medium... Maybe didn't I do the mixing right ?
@@derrick15 Super messy to work with though & after you mix it you have to use in a short period of time or it turns to goop. I hate it & quit using it altogether.
I used to use just water with my paint. But for some reason it didn't spread as well. . I now use floetrol... It basically helps you save on paint big time... And it helps it flow better. But I still have an issue with getting the paint around the edges of the board and looking just as thick as the rest of the painting .. Thank you so much for your videos they truly do help. Much respect
Turned on my phone to happily see my Tiktus bell had rung.🤩 Even in the best of times, watching you work and create is something I look forward to. Nowadays, for many of us, you are an important and welcomed part of our lives. Thank You, Tiktus.
Awesome! Thank you for sharing. I was thinking that if I used water the colors would be muddy, but now I know there is a safe ratio to use. Thank you for sharing!
Tried this yesterday on a wood tray and it came out perfect! So glad I didn’t spend money on resin, it came out exactly how I wanted. Going to try it on a canvas next to match my room I’m redecorating. Thank you so much for sharing your talent!
oh thank you,i was searching it for many days , i thought that we have to buy acrylic paint in liquid form. now i understand that we need water to make paint ❤
I don't know why, but they are just fascinating to me, & then knowing the chemistry behind how they can even possibly form, when it's actually a scientific thing, not an art thing. I wasn't very good in science so it's just one of those weird things I appreciate, especially when I'm trying hard to get cells & want them to look a certain way. I also love regular acrylic painting & blending on a canvas. It's always interesting to see what other people like or don't like. 🎨🖌
A fellow trypophobe 👋 LOL please know that I'm not insulting you. I'm the same but not as triggered as some get. For psalm it is a horrible emotional. Condition. I understand as I react to a few things that way. Hopefully it won't worsen with age. Yikes!

You are so lucky because I tried this with cheap paints, this surely doesn't work and also you need to add so much paint which is more expensive then flood floetroel or any other pouring medium. So you had a nice investment... 👍🏼
@Péter Éri I checked its price...it is $17(approx.) means ₹1300 which is expensive for Indians because here the cheap brand costs approx. ₹500 means $6.8... So I think quality differs so much that's why it doesn't worked for me... Welcome☺

Thank you. That was fantastic. No chatter. Showed a beginner how to create a pour from start to finish.
Thank you for not talking and just getting on with it. Video is pretty self explanatory and very good. Beautiful.

Blown away by all that you create. I am going to do my first pour tonight.
The colors make me think of Van Gogh’s Starry Night. Just gorgeous!
How Long it will take to dry?

I have clothing with it on them❤😅

Thank you for keeping this so simple and affordable. I will be trying this..
This works so well, thank you, I didn't know it would work with plain water, too!
I saw some tutorials in which they mixed White glue, water and paint. Did using only water and paint work good? How long did it take to dry?
@@aayaturrehman9850 It worked really well, and I think it took like 24 hours or so to dry completely, but I also had a quite thick layer.

Hi how did the acrylic remain so glossy please?
I'm trying it on a piece of wood too, wish me luck!
