Loved this - Innisfree, Kate Somerville is the best- on my shelf too! Your skin looks amazing, and frankly, the way you moisturize you'll be looking this dewy youthful fresh when you're 90.
I used volcanic clay cleansers n masks forever not realizing it was absolutely not helping the patches of dryness I had on my face. It helped with my oily forehead n nose but not my dry temples, cheeks n chin. Lately I've bn using Kate Somervilles Goat Milk Moisturizing Cleanser. I've bn using other goat milk products for yrs but this cleanser is really great n much more balancing for my skin type. Great stuff! And yes, marble walls in a bathroom is very excessive 😂.

to be honest 90% of the products he recommends like sunscreens, cleansers, toners, serums, and moisturizers will still work for you! james’ content is more geared towards reviewing products and not specifically recommending routines. if there’s a particular concern you have associated with being over 55 i highly recommend seeing a dermatologist and getting the prescription stuff (like retinoids or certain procedures) they can only offer in clinic.

I appreciate his opinions and suggestions on all the price ranges and I just wondered what was out there that he liked! I understand the basics I'm just willing to trust his research. His brother could help out in the make up part and it would be fabulous! I follow Wayne goss and some others but not to many are recommending things I can get when my budget is tight and when I've got extra cash I want to invest. But thank you for your input it was very helpful!
Dr Shereene Idriss has a whole series of videos on how to take care of your skin in different decades of life!! I highly recommend her videos if you want specific advice on skincare in your 50s :) Also as a bonus I know James has talked about her and her products very positively in the past!!
Love the video as always. Any tips to get untextured* skin along side hydrated skin. Balancing exfoliation and hydration for sensitive/ reactive skin is a struggle. I have a retinol works for my acne and PIH as well as an overall smoother skin as I have psoriasis on my body and noticed my skin (face and body) doesn’t ’shed’ or turn over normally thus I get congested and scar easily. I also have reactive/ sensitised skin with a little sensitivity around my cheeks and nose the most. I haven’t found a good exfoliating system as PHA don’t seem to be strong enough ? But AHA and BHA seem to play havoc with my skin barrier, causing me to breakout and more redness. I have used niacinamide/HA serums and toners to buffer but still doesn’t help? Perhaps an AHA/BHA gel cream rather than a toner/ serum which I usually go for? I also love that plump quenched skin look. (*Fewer visible pores, less oily, fewer black heads, comedones/white heads. More even tone ie no PIH, blemishes, redness) Along side plump, hydrated, calm (no redness) skin.
