Video idea! If you can get your hands on old Seventeen magazines, I’d love to see a makeup tutorial following those.
There are some wild internet makeup tips. But magazine makeup tips were even worse. In middle school I believed Seventeen magazine when they told me to put a shimmery highlighter down the sides of my nose to get a “model nose”. Imagine being an insecure middle schooler, whose nose grew before the rest of my face, putting shimmery highlighter down the sides of my nose. Ya know, the complete opposite technique to make your nose look smaller.
Luckily the nicknames that came from that makeup era gave me a great sense of humor.

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve changed my blush placement. I already have a long face, so I found that putting my blush on in the “1920’s” style really took many years off my face and makes me look a lot younger. For anyone unfamiliar with 1920’s blush, it’s horizontal but placed higher up on the apples of your cheeks, even a little into the eye socket. It really gives a youthful, healthy glow look. And even hides puffy eyes a little.

Robert!!! I have a few of my own wedding events coming up that I have to do my own makeup for and I have been researching bases in primers and other products for weeks now-- it's been driving me crazy and had me so worried I'd mess up! This is so reassuring!! Thank you!!

I think we're the same age Robert, but remember the TERRIBLE advice magazines gave? I should go through my 20 year old issues of Allure I have at my parents' house (my mom is a pack rat so I have a huge library of early 2000s teen/fashion magazines) and send some of the worst to you.
Y'all MAC reps were a lifesaver. I learned a lot just by going to MAC to get my makeup done for school dances :)

Hey! I commented on your live stream about a month ago asking for good SPF for under makeup as I was going to Florida, and you suggested Biore UV aqua Water. Just wanted to say it was 10/10! Still use it day to day! Thank you my love ❤

Biore is amazing, I've been using it for 10 odd years. It gets hot here in Australia, and this always stays put on my face. 😊

The Merit cream blushes are just… very special. They make me feel beautiful.
I usually prefer liquid blushes (juicy-pang, nothing beats them and they’re like $8) because I like being able to mix the colors together or mix them with a liquid highlighter to sheer them out, they’re just so adaptable and easy to apply.
But the finish of these cream blushes, it’s unlike any cream blush I’ve tried before and so easy to apply. Buildable enough where I don’t have to worry about clown cheeks. Gorgeously glowy. Great wear time. Just so special.

Your advice to use powder "if you need it, where you need it, when you need it" helped me to ditch powder completely from my routine and not only does my makeup look and lasts longer but also my skin is so much better as I am not drying it out even more witch powders ♥️

I love to put my blush all across my face up under my eyes and wrapping around my temples. A little in the center of my lips (a bit above and under) makes them look extra tall and cute. Also sort of acts as a lip liner making them appear naturally fuller.
