- The plaintiff says he met the defendant at the grocery store and they became involved. He says she drove her car into the ramp at his house and ruined it, so he’s suing her for the cost to repair the damage. The defendant claims he only got nasty about the ramp when she turned him down for a date. She’s countersuing for emotional distress.

I feel there should be some sort of law where if you can prove the other person would NOT have sued if you dated or did something they asked, that you should be compensated. It is close to black mail IMO

People stay together for more than just love. Lots of couples who’ve been together for decades are together because they’re comfortable, or because the wife is financially comfortable, it’s all she knows and doesn’t have the skills to leave.
If that girl had stopped talking, she’d have won her case. Instead she proved that she’s really just selling herself for what old men can give her. Her mother didn’t seem at all disturbed by it. You need to teach your children better. Going to church and singing in the choir isn’t going to fix your kids. Dragging them to your pastor isn’t going to fix your kids. At 22, nothing is going to change her except a catastrophe and it’s heart breaking because she’s now teaching this to her child who will also be affected by her bad choices.

I love the plantiffs complete honesty as well as the defendant's in this case which caught Milian off guard because she likes to try to catch people off guard. So their honesty put her in check which I loved!! Then she cut him off when she didn't get out of it what she thought. The plantiff is here in court because she didn't date him.
Plaintiff probably just wants money from her that he probably gave during the time they spent together. It isn't like much else went on else he would have never started the case.

That is exactly what Judge Milian said after she caught him off guard. He wasn't being honest at all. And the young lady was chasing older men for their money which she refused to admit, but Judge Milian called her out for. She put them both in check by calling out their obvious lies. That is what a Judge is supposed to do.

First time she rolls up she damages his property and so it already cost him money and he wants to start "tapping" his investment. She, on the other hand, realizes she is now into him for money owed and she didn't get no benefit from that. This game is not going to go her way so she is going to go back to the hunt for another "daddy." Now, he is just playing the last bit of leverage he has against her and sure enough he would rather have gotten some benefits than just collecting on the damages for his ratty old fence.

She was pulled over and her got impounded because he lied and said it was a hit and run. She has no car and a criminal charge... and that's not worthy of emotional distress? I know these shows try to save money by not awarding huge sums, but get real. Should have brought her case to Mathis. Their show doesn't have the overhead that this nickel and dime show does.
If this were on Judge Mathis, he would've given her the same lecture of "You're a 22 year old girl just looking for someone to take care of you. And you, you're old enough to be her grandfather and you don't see anything wrong with that?". It's not about one show "trying to save money", it's about proving what they say; you can assume, a judge can guess but there was absolutely no evidence presented.
If anything, her texts to him after all of this asking him "wyd" works against her, same with directly telling the judge "I got a baby, a house, a car; I need money. Why am I talking to an old man if he ain't doing nothing for me?" made her look like an opportunistic piece of shit.
The texts proved she was not emotionally distressed by it. She should have sued for impound fees instead.

He CONFIRMED in his testimony that he would not have filed against her if she would have agreed to his romantic extortion. He goes further and files a false police report against her. That is iron-clad evidence, dear. Yet, all Milian can see is the need to keep the costs of the show down. She didn't even award him the cost of his WRITTEN estimates. What a sham.
Secondly, this grandpa can openly and honestly ADMIT that he was extorting a woman 3 years older than his daughter for a physical relationship. Yet, when she is open and honest about why she (or anyone her age) would ever entertain someone like him, she is a piece of shizz.
