I WILL also say.....I have met FORMER addicts and even addiction counselors......one time I met a former nurse who had training in addiction for 6 years of working with people with serious addiction problems. Maybe he had addiction himself in his life......but would I trust him to care for addicted people, mentally distraught people? I have mixed feelings about this verdict. I believe the defendant does owe the plaintiff money and an apology. The defendant was right to feel threatened by the plaintiffs suggestions of getting the money by whatever means, it's understandable lool. My issue is that the text chain between both of them could be interpreted in a number of ways. One interpretation is that of two angry "friends" just upset over the outcome of the situation and bad words and mild threats were exchanged. I don't believe that would be harassment seeing as it was only that one time, unless I'm mistaken. I personally would've dismissed the case or ruled in favor of the plaintiff who had a stronger case🤷🏿‍♀️.
P.s. another lesson learned in why helping friends, acquaintances, people from the neighborhood always seems to backfire 😭🤦🏿‍♀️
