This case resonated through my mind deeply, I’m 50+..my dad now deceased, came here from Trinidad many, many years ago. He was in search of the American Dream..he was the worst “father figure”, he hated me based on the fact I resembled my mom now deceased, he did nothing for me..mentally, emotionally nor financially. When he passed several years ago, I was the only person who put foot forward and buried him dignified. Back then, women had to resort to “state benefits” to survive and put the basic staples on the table for their children. The fathers, just as mine did ran from child support and would work on the neighborhood cars to “supplement” their income under the table. Thank God he’s still standing considering the injury he suffered from the explosion, he’s a sixty year old man now, be there for your daughter, she needs you and you will soon need her, trust me.Believe, had he been diligently employed throughout his years he would be entitled to “Disability State funds” for his for his lack of eye vision. She’s in a stable relationship, she needs her father there for that emotional moment and secure shoulder. Stop with the excuses.

Adults have to realize a lot went on when they were kids that they knew nothing about. Both parties mom and dad were people before they had the kid, all you know is what you are told. Don’t walk around harboring ill feelings

He always makes sure to keep stereotypes going about what men and women can act like or talk about. It’s a choice to keep old mindsets, and they’re not always right

But sometimes they are right. New is not always right. (I haven't looked at the video yet, so I don't know if "he" means JM or the defendant.

    • @cieeee4014

@@sereneamani1713 I meant JM because he definitely keeps things going instead of encouraging a growth mindset, for example gender roles and parent roles. That’s obviously an individual couples or person’s decision to make, it’s also 2022 and many boxes society created have been broken finally, and he’s also not a therapist or relationship counselor, or many other things, but injects his personal home opinion and experience, which is based off a toxic masculine environment he grew up in. I respect so much about him, but there are things everyone needs held accountable for, and women would still be in the kitchen if men didn’t adjust and women didn’t finally stop agreeing with men. Again, I respect much about him, and I see wrong, as I can point out in myself and grow from.
