@@christianparsons6050 🤔 You know, I would definitely mic 🎤 under the cymbals byways of 4 🎤 mics and possibly add a tadpole of reverb & thicker EQ-but… not too much. I did listen 👂 in cans and via Atmos System & the sound was awesome 👏 as-is. But, every engineer is different. What has kept me touring and then demand for over 20 years as “make it sound like the record, and not what you’re thinking.“ all too often is easy to add what you want as an engineer but, you should only augment what the client wants and what is good for the performance. This was a great comment that you posted. We should definitely chop up engineering commentary someday again superstar! 🤩
That is awesome. When you speeded it up and played it with the heavy groove, it was epic. I have got to try that exercise. I have fast hands so I can throw down some sick rolls, but I have always struggled with hand-foot combinations as part of a fast roll or fill. You just showed how to crack the code. Thank you.
I don’t play drums and never will but my god I need this in my life. This sounds beautiful. I don’t know how you get your drum recordings to sound like that but I love it.
I do the exact same thing but with the left hand lead this way you can orchestrate it around the kit in time triplet that actually goes in the descending pattern and then when you do your crossoverYou can either change to a right hand lead or you can keep it the same but either way this is the way Bonham did it with the left hand lead in unison with the left foot so the right hand is just playing the ‘pull’ in the trips pattern, the base will alway land ont the ‘let’ and the left hand is just in time with the hats at the top of the ‘trip’.
for filipinos ah yes a Pattern used in a Music titled "Huling sandali" by December Avenue the drummer of the band was Jet Danao u can definitely hear it in the bridge part onward with a combo of high hat stroke qlong with floor bass, which is hard to do 😓
I do something similar I just change from RLK to LRK and then sometimes a 2 drum parididdle with the cymbal strike with kick on the single l and r. These are cool tricks. I never break them down though and think about it like this. Thank you for engaging my brain a bit more in my drumming
Ahhh well this sold me on the copper Starphonic for sure. Man your kit sounds great!!! Can you do a rundown of tour audio and software? That would be 😎 Thanks in advance!

Nice. Good to see I'm not the only one using Evans. For 30 years I've been using them, nothing else does it for me.

That Tom tone touched my soul!
Broo that's actually sick🤟
I don't care what fill you teach me each video, I stay for the amazing kit sound.

@@Squirrel-zq6oe Absolutely.Sometimes when we improvise those simple things into something fun, it's an accomplishment for us.
@@joe_tipakuah4880 I agree 👍🏻 💯 that's one of the best parts
Now try it but on closed hats and snare, this is something I came up with a while ago and it can be used in so many ways.
That was an eye opener. 👍
The sound of that kit wow. Clearly the sound is mixed but I bet it would sound awesome with room mics too
love when it all comes together 🔥
Thank You for breaking it down !
My pleasure!

Sweet ass fill. Gonna start practicing this
Enjoy! 👊
Simply outstanding performance surely I wil learn my passion for jazzzzz
Hot damn, This is fire.🔥
Thanks dude 🙏👊
Thats why i love the drums.
I love how he phrased the pattern as 16th notes rather than triplets for his example. He makes that kit sing
As a variation you can move your right hand between the snare and floor.
Simply fresh pattern bro..very nice
Thanks so much!
perfection!
Thank you! 🙏
i was already long gone but i remembered i just learned something special so i had to come back to hit the fvcking like 👍

Our boi Siros hits so hard you can see wood shards fly at 00:32 😅
Hahah nice catch! 😁
Thanks
The ghost notes on the beat at the end were clean as hell
Thanks so much! 👊
Cool application! You could also try and switch the pattern R-L-K, then L-R-K, and just keep your hands in place.
Subbed! This is EXACTLY what I need
Glad to hear it! 🙏
