OKAY i hope this video goes viral because this was so wonderful! seems to be so much noise out there in the "interiors" world and this was super informative! thank u!

thank you ☺️ i feel like so much out there is opinion & trying to convince others that you have more money than you actually have. i’m much more interested in colors, shapes, proportions, etc

I've never thought about or heard anyone mention "not having any black" in a space but there's definitely something to that! Adding a bit of black metal, wood, or fabric is something that I've done in almost every room but without realizing why I thought it needed that🤔 loved hearing your thoughts on all these things!❤

I am so inspired by your tips! Needing black objects to balance the depth in a space... that is revolutionary!

Hey there, I really like your videos, please KEEP doing videos. You have an amazing personality. I don't know what is but UA-cam is showing the video at 480p? Perhaps a way to increase the resolution would be great, as well as a better mic would help wonders. I really hope you keep pushing with these videos.

oh thank you for letting me know, i hadn’t caught that! i’ll definitely look into it for future videos, but for right now, i’m working with a beginner dslr that was not made for video (to put it nicely lol). i’ve got a snowball mic, but this video was also in a new environment (dog sitting) with extra noises & not much i could do in terms sound absorption. let me know if the more recent videos in my new apartment sound better! i’ve been experimenting with mic placement & i definitely want a directional mic as my next one, which should help with that too. also again thank you so much for the patreon pledge 🥰

10/10 video, I learned so much! I currently have too many plants and definitely not enough soft lighting in my living room

alot of value in this! I really agreed at 10 mins. I personally think it is a shame that boho has a bad wrap when there is a way to add bohemian elements in a classic way. it has a long history and the name actually came from the Romani who were coming from eastern Europe through chec and Bohemia in germany! its not all cheap and tacky and juvenile. so much richness, creativity and craftsmanship to draw inspiration from throughout history.

exactly!! design gets so much more interesting when you find inspiration from actual historical movements, instead of just looking at a single “design style” on pinterest that’s some bland, watered down abomination of what it used to be lol

You give words to things I feel/see but didn’t know why. Love your content and your personality. I have a gallery wall in my living room (with art I collected slowly for years) and pretty chairs that hurt butts. Wooops.

Ok look, I love almost all of these and I get it, BUT. Hear me out. N.45 (only medium or high pile carpets in living rooms and bedrooms) is an absolutely not for me because I have pets and I am NOT cleaning those rugs constantly. They would look horrible even if I was. Also I wear slippers all year long so I don't mind the low pile nearly as much. Everyonbe coming into my home wears slippers too. I'll provide them if guests don't have/bring any, both for hygene and for safety reasons as I get critters inside fairly often, including scorpions, and no one wants to put their naked foot on one of those.

It would be interesting to hear you talk about design informed by your personal experience. How do you have design reflect your life -- who you are, and how to create an interior that reflects that back to you? That tells your story? And how do you design for disability, physical or mental? It feels like you would have a powerful voice about that.

Wrong size rug in living room, flat weave rug in bedroom, no DIY anywhere!
