C43 is underrated
Neck to neck. Now C43 has 390 hp and things became even closer and it sounds sick too! No need for a heavy front!
Well u CANT compare C43 to C63 and im not talking about power. C43 has 4matic "AWD" , C63 is RWD , also C43 without performance exhaust sounds like crap. For me C43 is way better daily car because 4matic and sounds epic with performance exhaust.
You should have at least used a C43 with the performance exhaust...come on. The stock one sounds weak as hell.

I drove both ... and different amgs... but the c43 amg has such a lovely sound !! Very sports car like and AWD drive ... c63 was too brutal and had not so much grip ... and I would bet the sound of the c43 is louder than the amg and high RPM

Unfair comparison. Audio and video equipment used for C450 is much lower in quality than the C63. No doubt it will excel.

the reason for the name change is simple, it was first mercedes-benz C450 AMG sports, however they quickly dropped the AMG sports label and just made it the mercedes-amg C43

Das rechts ist doch der C450 mit der 7Gang.. Der C43 hat doch die 9Gang.. denke das da mehr als eine Sekunde bis 200 noch drinnen ist. Der C43 ist locker für 430 PS gut.. Und mit Allradantrieb dann einfach nur eine Waffe 👍
More cylinders and more expensive doesnt have to mean better sound and that's the case for mercerdes, audi and jaguar.

Ok so the night revving doesn’t know how to rev and the 2019 c43 performance exhaust and everything is so much better sounding
I those the new C43 on purpose, due to the weather isn`t always perfect for c63 because it always needs good conditions to perform good. A friend of mine own a C63S, and I`ve driven it several times hard and in different weather and the car struggles a lot as soon as the weather isn`t stable condition with makes the car frustrating to drive when it`s not dry and warm. Ok it´s very funny at times but as an everyday driven car I wanna sometimes be fast of the lights and with no drama and that you can't do as you can with the c 43 in the same effortless way. The sound in my car with the AMG exhaust is very nice but also different than the C63S, neither car has a better sound for me both of them sound great.. Differens between the C450 and the C43 are the brakes, front and rear setup with different shocks, exhaust, and calibration of the whole car with a sportier touch that`s it not much but makes the car a lot more fun I can say for sure. Now the price between the cars are something you can talk about but I won`t everybody knows the differens, but for me I´m gonna but some money on my car at Kleemanns so just incase`ll meet a C63 or a C63S in good weather for it hopefully I`m gonna scare him/her a bit with the light version...Cheers😁

C43 AMG vs older c63 would be interesting...
In other words a tuned C43 that gets over 440 hp and 620 nm after a stage 1 tuning is as good as a C63. AND it has 4Matic (4WD) and actually has grip.
Agreed. But the AMG purists will never acknowledge the C43 as a real AMG regardless of its actual potential. Too much in brand fighting caused by poor marketing (one man one engine).

Mir gefallen die 43er generell echt gut, jedoch hätte man schönere Auspuffblenden wählen können und dass das Tacho auch bis 320 Km/h anzeigt um nochmals die Sportlichkeit zu unterstreichen.

This video is mainly about sound, and I agree with many the V8 C63 sounds better. They did not use the C43 with AMG exhaust in this video though... which I assure you sounds much better than the base C43 (I have it in my C43).
In terms of speed - the V8 is faster, but not by very much. In anything less than ideal traction, the 4Matic C43 can win. On a track, the C43 is faster. I would still take a C63 but couldn't justify the spend.
The E63 they move to a fix ratio 4Matic (like the C43). They need to bring that to the C63!

Not a huge difference. What is the price of a c43 then? I mean if the c43 is 20.000 or more cheaper then i see no need to buy a c63S. the 0-100 time is the same. C63S has a higher topspeed maybe but to pay 20K or more for just that? No thanks i take the C43.

Agreed Douglas. In fact, I'm surprised Merc hasn't decided to add 4Matic to the C63.
Terrence LaBroix they will do on the E63 2017. I think the C63 is to popular and fans will react angry about a 4 matic at it.
The C43 has a different set of gear ratios, and an extra gear for power. (It has two more, but the 9th is a purely highway fuel economy gear). This could also explain the C43 performing so well.

C63 kosten im monatlichen Leasing 200 € mehr. Ein C43 hat Allrad und etwas weniger Spritverbrauch. Schwere Entscheidung bei dem V8 Klang. Danke fürs Video !
Ich habe seit Anfang April das C450 T Modell und ich liebe das Teil. 2 Autos in einem. Auf der einen zahm und man glaube es kaum, recht genügsam. Wenn Oma und Opa auf Besuch sind und man die Familie durch die Gegend schaukelt. Würde keiner ahnen das, das Teil 270kw hat. So gediegen wie Oma dahin schaukelt. Ist Papa allerdings allein. Und tippt 2 mal am Wippschalter. Dann ist's vorbei mit Seniorensänfte. Dann fängt das kleine Ass wie wild an zu röcheln und zu sabbern. Da kann es dann schon mal vorkommen. Das aus der schnellen besorgung der Samstag morgen Brötchen. Welche meine Tochter zu Fuß in 10 min. geholt hätte. Eine 1,5 std. Tour auf die andere Seite der Stadt wird. Schließlich ist da ja auch ein Bäcker. Was will er nur damit sagen? Ich erwische mich fast täglich dabei kurz vor dem Ziel, doch noch mal ab zu biegen.
Ich sehe den v6 eher als dezentere und weniger aufdringliche Wahl. Keine Frage nichts über den v8 ausser viele ich einer mit mehr Hubraum. Weil wie wir alle wissen. Nichts geht über Hubraum, ausser noch mehr Hubraum. Aber man bedenke der entwickelt doch ordentlich geräusch Kulisse. Und der doch recht dominante Auftritt des c63 ist auch nicht jedermanns Sache. Uns so billig ist der kleine v6 auch nicht, um ihn als low Budget amg ein zu stufen. Denn wie ich glaube, werden sich die wenigsten ihn als Basis Version zulegen.
Bei meinem Händler lagen die beiden bei meiner Konfi beim Leasing keine 120Euro auseinander. :)

Es geht nur darum nochmals 2k aufwärts für die höhere Begrenzung auf 280 abzugreifen. Es macht keinen sonstigen Sinn, da alles ab 200 bei nem Unfall die gleichen niedrigen Überlebenschancen hat.

Die Leistung ist für die Autobahn OK und für die Stadt mehr als genug aber ich finde das Mercedes mittlerweile mit der Bezeichnung "AMG" etwas leichtfertig umgeht. Nach meinem Kenntnisstand wurde beim C450 bzw. C43 AMG im Vergleich zum C400 hauptsächlich nur der Ladedruck etwas erhöht. Dazu gibt es dann eben das AMG-Stylingpaket serienmässig und fertig ist ein neues AMG Modell. Ist mir ehrlich gesagt etwas zu wenig für etwas das sich "AMG" bezeichnet.
Vor allem das Fahrwerk ist absolut AMG unwürdig. Und über die chaotische Vergabe der Modellbezeichnung kann ich auch nur den Kopf schütteln.

Vorderachse von AMG.. Getriebe modifiziert und der ALLRAD wurde fahrdynamischer ausgelegt 67/33.. Muss doch nicht gleich ein komplett eigenständig entwickelter V6 unter die Haube.. Wie wenn Audi beim RS6 im Vergleich zum S6 einen eigenständigen Motor entwickelt hat..
Denke soviel Mühe wie AMG sich gibt um sich von der Serie abzugrenzen macht sich kein Hersteller..

Bin mir da nicht sicher, ob das ne Budgetfrage ist. :D im Leasing nehmen sich die Beiden eigentlich gar nix. Aber für Leute, die viele km fahren und Spass haben wollen, macht der 43er einfach mehr Sinn. Das war der letzte Rest Vernunft in mir. :D
