T-Rex Diva Drive. The best Overdrive pedal I've ever played!

- Hey all
The Diva Drive is an overdrive pedal from T-Rex. It's for the most part a standard affair with gain, level and tone, but there are two features which elevate this pedal to be the best sounding and feeling overdrive pedal I've ever used.
1. The blend knob. This knob blends the clean signal in with your overdriven signal allowing totally saturated tones or clean and saturated simultaneously which makes the pedal incredibly versatile.
2. The three position switch. This switch mounted on the side of the unit toggles between a bass boost, a mid boost and no frequency boost. Again this makes the pedal be able to be matched with any guitar / amp combination it also allows for a wide variety of starting points for dialing in the exact OD Tone you are looking for.
Lastly the gain it's self just sounds amazing. its the exact right blend of smooth and gritty. I'm massively impressed by this pedal overall.
Definitely a keeper.

After watching this I found a diva drive on the bay for a nice price and its on its way to me now. I already have a great ts but this seems like a perfect evolution of what a ts should be.
Hey. Thx for the comment. Yeah it’s an absolute banger of a pedal! I tried it on an acoustic board I’m using recently just for a few bits of drive with an acoustic band. Works fantastically well because of the blend control. It really is outstanding. Enjoy. Really glad you found the video useful.
I've been hankering one of these. Might have to get one. Love T-Rex stuff. The Quint, Mudhoney, Alberta & Karma are some of my favourite pedals.
Hey Dan. Yeah it’s a brilliant drive pedal. I’m mega impressed.
Agreed, this is a wonderful overdrive. Never a TS fan but this is somehow perfect with my strat and victory duchess amp.
Thx for the comment. A guitarist in one of the bands I’m in has the Duchess. I must try this though it. I’m normally not one for things having a wierd mystical quality but there’s something magical about this pedal. I had the same experience with the bogner blue. But in a different way. That’s a distortion. This is the best overdrive I’ve heard.
Just scooped one up on eBay for £50!. Always resisted a TS pedal because I couldn't be sure it would like my amp. Given the tweakability of the Diva, it seems a no-brainer not to buy one. Thanks for the tip!
Hey. Thx for the comment! Yeah it’s a class pedal. I was genuinely blown away. They have a distortion from the same range called the vulture I’m gonna try and get my hands on.
@@TheGuitarEffect Looking at reviews from when it came out, everyone seems to agree that it was brilliant but pricy, given the congested field, at around £160. At £50, that goes out the window!
Russell Crow is now doing pedal reviews, I thought he was Australian?
Yeah I get that all the time. I’ll take it all day!!!
@@TheGuitarEffect No probs Hando.
thank you for the very good demo, have you ever tried the muller 2 ? how would you compare them if you did ? thanks
Hey. Thx for the comment. I do t have a Muller at the minute but I had kne a few years ago. I’m ts cery tube screamer ish from what I remember. This can do that but not only that.
I bought an used unit a couple of years ago (40€) and it's the only overdrive pedal I use, even as a simple booster too.
Hey. Thx for the comment. It’s a bit of a revelation for me to be honest. Blown away.
I have been using one for a couple years and love it as well.
Thx for the comment. Yeah it’s stellar.
This pedal is an absolute sleeper. And super cheap on the used market as well.
Hey man. Thx for the comment. Yeah it was a massive surprise. Deffo a keeper
