You don't know if the guy has a soul? Why would you say this? That is the one of the strangest, weird comments I've seen on youtube for a long time. Are you worried that he might not have a soul? Is this a religious comment? Is this a criticism? Please explain this bizarre comment. Bizarre!
Wow. Tesla is changing procedures to keep more of their cars in the fleet. Also, learned that Teslas can handle a freshwater flood and be OK or get fixed. Further, car folks are getting into recycling broken EVs.
Another great video Pete. Here in AU we do not see many flood damaged cars let alone EV's but it was interesting to hear how insurance companies balk at flood damage. Rich Rebuilds (UA-cam channel) purchased and restored a flood damaged model S but it was clear he should have watched this video before purchasing. He made all the wrong choices.
Thanks you for all the useful information, I am currently looking in to buying a used Tesla and I will definitely look out for the warning signs you talked about.
That was a great video, thank you for providing that insight. It seems that the general public would need to hire a company like yours to replace the electronics needed. Is that a service that you provide?
Please let us know if Tesla has changed their policy regarding supercharging flood damaged vehicles. Last I heard Tesla will turn off supercharging for any vehicle with a salvage title. Please let us know if there's any truth to this or if there have been some recent changes.
Pete - always a great presentation of info. So what have your stats shown is the ballpark back on the road cost for flood cars what didn’t have water over the lower bolster and no mold?
Thank you for this informative lesson. Seeing the cars in the background, I really am sad, that the Brown Color option isn't available anymore. The green one: was that an original color at some point or is it custom?
Hi, I love your videos Thanks so much for making em. I have a 2017 S75, and need a replacement front bumper, preferably a red one, only thing is, I'm in New Zealand... any idea where I can get a used one?
Very informative as usual. I would like to point out that some Tesla’s labeled as flood damaged may actually not be damaged and are merely in an area declared as having experienced massive flooding. If I were to buy a used Tesla I would get it directly through Tesla. They have some very nice used vehicles in their inventory and it comes with their full warranty backing of the vehicle if something should come up. Also, you get FSD thrown into the deal and that alone is now a $10,000 option when you buy new.
Pete, thanks for this very informative and unexpected "class" as that really is what it is. I have a sort of related question for you. Since some of your flood recovery cars are duds, do you sell parts? I have a completely original 2015 Model S P85D in factory red with the 21 inch greyish wheels. I want to purchase one matching wheel for my car but all I can find around San Diego are full sets of wheels. I just need one to throw in the back during long road trips (1000.00 miles and more). Any suggestions on where to look? Thanks!
@@geoffcarlton4047 Those tools are not available to the general public And any authorized third party would be risking their livelihood re-enabling it. So that’s not going to happen.
@@geoffcarlton4047 Not one thing I have said is false. Hiring some shade tree with a hacked copy of the toolbox does not change the fact Tesla disable it, often for no good reason.
I would like to know. If a passenger or passengers are trapped inside the car while the car is being submerged, how high is the water level inside the car when total power loss occurs and opening the electric windows for escape is no longer possible.
Don’t know if this guy has a soul. But, sure can learn a lot from him.
Absolute efficiency in conveying his point. Virtually no wasted words.
Reading Teleprompter. Wearing glasses so you dont see the eyes. It's ok

Gruber and Munro...I can't get enough.

Super video Pete thank you very much for the information ..
Thank you, Pete: most informative.
Great video as always.. I still get customers that ask me what happened to all the Teslas in the parking lot. :)

Green was offered

Also a couple front condenser with fan units from both sides
eBay and places, did you get it fixed?

I thought electronic and batteries of TSLA cars are sealed. There are many videos of Tesla driving submerged. This is not true?
No mention of the fact Tesla brick the ability to do any type of DC charging on all salvage vehicles. Even after paying them for an HV inspection…

Get it approved and ‘done’. You are selective and hyperbolic.
Barnacles, teehee!
Its the dried up fish under the seats that really gives things away.

That's great but tesla takes your supercharger and without that the car is kinda useless
I am going to buy a water submerged tv 📺, said no one.
