Sad to see so many haters in the comments! There's more than one way to make jollof XD I actually prefer this method, its more flavorful and the rice is less likely to overcook. Its YOUR food, cook it the way YOU want! Jollof is delicious no matter where it comes from or what method you prefer, its an amazing African food that we should be proud to share instead of being negative just because she cooked it a way that you aren't familiar with. Good video either way!

Audrey Long Africans throughout the world, wherever we are, are having challenges with high blood pressure; that includes the ones at home. I find we use too much salt universally. The African Caribbeans also over salt terribly. We need to learn to use more herbs and spices and MUCH less salt and eliminate table salt (sodium chloride). Let the flavors of the foods come through. Be kind to your heart and kidneys and blood vessels. 😘

May be rice and stew from that miserable place you come from. How dare you come to oppose Cameroonian "jealoff" rice recipe? So you have no sense of culinary variation? If this is vegetable stew to you then I bet you are yet to taste vegetable stew made in Cameroon. Just Google it. We don't over cook our spices in Cameroon that's why we abstain from the one pot method.

Hi honey, yesterday I made a little mistake when I put a lot of garlic in the green base. It was very bitter after mixing. Have you ever tried to add a compote pear with a little juice from that can? I didn't want to throw it away and start over. It's famous. I warmly recommend it. Martina from Prague

This another version of fried rice, riz sauté in french. The principle of djollof rice is that the rice supposed to cook in the broth. Sorry.
