- There is an on going debate, which will probably go on until the end of time, regarding which type of wood is the best type of wood to use for sound deadening. When choosing wood, bassheads want to choose something strong, sturdy with no holes or cracks. There are many specific types of wood and wood replacements out there, however, it is best to choose one that doesn't easily break or flake.
In this video, JP gives his recommendation on what the best wood to use from his experience. Whether its for deadening or for mounting, Jp will give you a few things to look out for!

Loctite pl8x is what he's talking about to attach the wood to the roof. Installing wood on your roof also helps with flex a ton also.
I got a good question J.P. can bass be therapeutic. Can it help to relieve some stress. Cause i think soo....how do feel about this J.P.
MDF is all I use besides birch though for HIGH SPL

I put plywood as the floor in my hatchback and the sound is different (not as deep sounding) are there anyways I can add or do something to get it sounding deep again

If you question what kind of wood to use for deadening, then you shouldn't even need deadening lol. It takes years of experience and a ton of money to get on a level that these guys are on
Well, i used to Deaden the roof in my first build with mdf even if its in the lower 140dB it takes away much from the flex in the whole car increase the Soundquality, also the car stays longer warm in the Winter and needs longer to heat up in Summer which were also nice benefits. And the good feeling to have it done if i upgrade to a more powerful System.
In my New car i deadened even more and Start with the wood roof pretty soon even before a high spl build is inside (145dB right now) so i dont have to worry for next year when i want to reach 155dB with a no wall 6th order

@@BassFanaticYT On my pc I open up my music, then put a memory stick in the usb port. My pc automatically launches file explorer in another window, so I've got two windows open... one showing the music on the pc, and one showing any files on the usb stick. Then I just drag and drop any songs I want to copy to the usb stick. If you have a mac computer, someone else will have to chime in. I'm not familiar with macs or I-tunes.
