I did this method last time on my knotless braids. I have 4C hair. I kept them in for four more weeks after I did this so a total of 8 weeks and I really loved the way it turned out. I have knotless braids now and plan to do it again. To remove I used mane n tail detangler spray and then a rat tail comb to undo my braids and everything turned out fine without me losing any hair or it being knotted.
did you crochet the same braid multiple times as well? I feel like the extra looping would cause knotting. when you removed it, how did you remove the crochet at the root?
‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️so this is a great method and it looks very refreshed when done! although be CAREFUL I did this and had the worst time taking down. (took me an my friend a day and half) My hair began to LOC! I had lots of breakage and thinning. I have had many different protective styles and never had this issue. if you’re going to do this method I would suggest only going through once maybe twice in the SAME direction. keep in mind my natural hair is 3C - 4A type. with that being said it may work better of different hair types! I hope this helps!💗
This was so on time!! I have had my knotless for a month and a half and was about to take them out due to new growth. Not no no! This video SAVED the day. Thank you!!!!
I just saw your video late last night, I had never seen or heard of this method before. So I decided to do it today. And I am so glad I did! I am so happy with the results! My braids look so refreshed, almost like when I first got them done. Thank you! 😊❤
This was awesome. I just finished touching up me and my daughters knotless braids. I did one too tight and I was able to push the braid back out. But that was only with one loop through. Thank you for this!!! My braids look fresh again 🥰
This video is awesome!!!! I didn't even know needed it but yet there it was on my recommended. I paid good money for my knotless braids so I want to make them last as long as possible. This video gave me a way to do just that. Thank you!
This method is PERFECT for that extra 1-2 weeks use out of the style; anything further may start the "loc process". Your hair looks amazing and I will definitely be getting my extra 1-2 weeks out of my knotless. Lol
Actually it won't lock. once the braid is removed the area that was hooked will look as if it was twisted. Just dont twist the section before you latch hooking and only go through once
@@RAJOHN-ke7mc I’ll try this now… I have two vacations 5 weeks apart but I don’t necessarily want to get fresh braids for the beach. Last time i did even with washing it was sooo much salt and sand in my hair! I wanna come home and take them out!!! This will probably be better far as frizz than jus twisting for the beach but i was nervous about them locking. Thanks!
Amazing! This is the first time I've seen this technique and just refreshed my daughter's hair for an upcoming dance. She was impressed! Much better than twisting
I started my locs like this… it’s basically interlocking so I’m sure it was some detangling for sure. This is the method for sister locs also I believe. I wouldn’t leave it in too long after.
I just did this , all I can say it thank you girl , this it perfect for when you got back to back Vacays or events like my braids are a month and 2 days old & I just did this retouch because I’m going to the beach on a family Vacay & im sure I got another month with these thank you so much , took me like 2 hours .
Thanks for this video because I spent $340 for my braids and it’s been 7 weeks and I was not trying to pay her another $340 for braids that only lasts month 🤷🏽♀️💯‼️
Omg thank you so much for sharing this! My hair grows so fast and my scalp is sensitive so I always have to take my braids out after 3 weeks 🥴 but thanks to your washing and retouching, I feel like I can manage them longer!
Thank you for sharing because I’m sure not ready to take down my knotless. I couldn’t figure out how to tame the new growth and was just wearing it in a bun. This helped me so much and I can wear them for another week or 2.
Thank you, thank you thank you so much for sharing this method!! I did my first two rows, and should get at least 2 to 3 more weeks out of my knotless braids.
@Glam Addix I did mine ! It ended up lasting for an additional month . Had no issues with taking them down. Next time I get knotless I will do them again !
Welp, I bought that Carol's Daughter shampoo with the nozzle and it worked wonders!! It's smells good too! I used the liquid Nairobi leave-in instead of a cream leave-in. Later that evening I had my braider refresh the first two rows of braids. She looked at the other braids and said I did a good job in cleaning my scalp. I plan to now keep them a little longer! Yay!
Yes how is it removed will my hair be more knotted? I have 4C hair and sometimes if I leave in to long, my hair will become a loc. Is this still removed the same way?
To remove I used mane n tail detangler spray and then a rat tail comb to undo my braids and everything turned out fine without me losing any hair or it being knotted. I have 4c hair.
Yeeessss before I even clicked I said “she crocheted it”! Yes ma’am I never thought about this. My knotless braids have been up almost 3 weeks now and the edges need to be refreshed. Trying this later ❤
Hi love omg love this method. Your braids look so new and lovely. Thank you for sharing I just did my knotless braids I shore will be doing this from now on! God bles lovely lady!
@@EmpressClayI read from other videos like this that your hair can potentially lock up, but it doesn't happen to everyone. Make sure this is done on freshly washed hair and apply some gel then crochet the braids through like the video shows. It's best to do this only if you want to stretch your style out for two more weeks and if your hair is thick. Leaving your braids in longer than that can be a nightmare. This will probably break your hair a little if it's fine. Also, when you finally take your braids out, apply a braid detangler cream or spray to that area, gently remove the debris, then wash your hair. Hope this helps.😊
Omg! I was to lazy to get my braids done over today and I stumbled across your video. It’s Super Bowl weekend here in AZ and I’m going to use this technique. Thanks u so much great video
love this method made my boho braids last 4 weeks longer. had them in for 2 months. as for taking them down I did have trouble at the scalp it was more knotted and I had a hard time. what would you suggest to keep it from doing this ?
My edges are light, thank you for providing a different option than trying to twist the new growth. This is awesome something that I definitely needed.

Can't wait to try 🙌🏽 also it freaked me out when I saw we had the same name & spelt the same with same surname initial too 🤣
Thanks, I wanted to know about how to properly take them out.
So wait you took it down regularly and had detangle spray on your roots?
did you crochet the same braid multiple times as well? I feel like the extra looping would cause knotting.

Did it work out ok?

How many times can this be done until you have to take them out
Great method! Looking to try but curious if anyone had a hard time taking the braids out? Was there a lot of breakage/tangling??

Thanks so much! Your hair looked brand new at the end - gonna try this!
Oh wow I’m going to try this I’m not too good with using the crochet feeder but I’m gonna try thank you great video your hair looks amazing 🎉
This looks a lot better than twisting the roots
This is actually worse lol
@@CocoaPuff01 why you think that ? I just tried it for the first time today.

However how’s the removal process? I really want to try but first I need to know how it’s removed?
Great question
Yes how is it removed will my hair be more knotted? I have 4C hair and sometimes if I leave in to long, my hair will become a loc.
Is this still removed the same way?
To remove I used mane n tail detangler spray and then a rat tail comb to undo my braids and everything turned out fine without me losing any hair or it being knotted. I have 4c hair.
Be careful. I used this method “interlocking” to retighten my locs

Quick question: how is the take down process done once you’ve done this??
Will I be able to take down my knotless braids the “normal” way??
I would like to know the answer as well b/c I did this and took me forever to take it down. It was so tangled. But it was cute tho
How was the take down process? Did tangling occur? Thanks so much for this🥰 I workout so knotless are my go to
Can someone answer this pls

I’m disappointed that she didn’t answer this question because that’s the only thing stopping me from trying this method
I’ve done this several times take down was easy no tangling!!!!
The takedown process is hectic! I did this with my last set of individuals and regretted it. You have tangling at the root.
Yes u did tht. how was the take down process?

How was the take down/detangling process after trying this method?
