Please don’t get me wrong you’re a very experienced fish keeper the way it sounds but I keep my angels angles in every Condition you say is detrimental to their health and I have been keeping fish for over 20 years. Opinions are great analogy is awesome thank you sir
I have 150 gallon tank o change 50 percent of water every week and they get pretty big so fast they are just 6month old im only 13 and this my first successs to make my fish healthy😂
thank you soo much. im searching info to select my centerpiece fish. gonna pass on this fish. i do not want a still or stagnant flow. although this would be my number 1 your info here saved me from making mistakes
This is one of the best videos I have seen for Angel fish . I have a 35 gal bow front tank that i just moved my rainbow fish from to a 75 gal bow front. I think a pair of angels and a school of neon tetras would look very nice.
In my aquarium I only have half my tank planted, the other half is for swimming space and it offers a different terrain for them, just one nice drift wood decor, the fish love the idea, you can see it in their faces, they would all hang out on one side then the other, I have angel fish, tetras, silver dollars, loach, and cat fish
My son gave me a Discus runt and love him. I've been trying to find another runt to go with him but people get really peeved if you ask them for runts. Apparently it's an affront to their breeding skills. So he'll be forever alone.
Yeah I was watching Aquarium Co-op and Dean was talking about his fish breeding. He culls really heavily because he wants to produce the best possible fish and I believe he euthanizes the culls. If I were to breed fish I’d want to give my subpar fish to people who don’t mind and aren’t going to breed or show them. But I understand that professional breeders want to have a reputation for only stellar fish....
Wow some fish hobbyists are dickholes. I'm an all around animal person, I'm a dog groomer. When picking a dog cat or fish, I always pick the lonliess or runt . To me those are the ones who end up the most loyal and fulfilling
Awesome advice Sir I've never had much luck with angels in the past. Your information was excellent and it's encouraging me to try them again. Love your angels tanks.😍 1.What temperature do you keep them? 2. How often do you do water changes and % removed? Thanks mate👍
1. 26 - 28 (78 - 82) 2. once you have eggs or fry, don't. not until they are fully formed free simmers then 10% ever 4 days with aged water not water you just treated. honestly I never did water changes as my plants could keep up with the bio load of my fish (high tech planted tank). Also I didn't get angels to breed, it was a side effect.
I got Maybe six angels in a 125 with two powerheads and FX 6 A title I 10 in an emperor 450 on it. They’ve been doing fine for almost 6 years in fact one of my first ones I had died when he was 13
Hi. I just bought 3 angelfish for my 55 gallon tank. For the entire week, they have been hiding in the corner. Is it due the flow? I have an Aquaclear 70 on one end of the tank and a sponge filter in the other. Is that too much flow?
Hi, I do a 50% water change of my guppy tank around every week. I would recommend doing it twice a week if your tank is busier. I have 6 guppies and 2 sailfin mollies in my 64 litre tank and they really appreciate the clean water! Hope this helps somehow.
My angelfish I have 3 in 55 gallon &+ the tank mates are 5 coridori’s 1 ballon mollie. But I had 6 guppies & they died I don’t know if the angelfish nipped them so your the fish pro that I watch so i need your help thanks!
I got 2 angel fish from the pet store i was told they were "dwarf angelfish" from the employee after 3 months of having them they got the size of my palm and gaint they lived with shrimps and mollys.. And i had them for 5 months and my step sister gave me a small angel fish it was super small and it got big in no time i had them for 11 months i woke up and there was eggs
I’m new to your channel and I just subscribed you didn’t say anything about the temperature for Angel Fish what is the temperature you should have for your heater temperature for Angel fish??
Hey man I am getting an 18x18x36 50g that is quite tall but narrow. I'm thinking about doing a vallisneria jungle with angelfish. Do you think I'm limited to one pair or perhaps i could do two? Also doing a small school of hatchets and coriess with a few snails
I have 3 angel fish. I added to my 55g that already had 3 Buenos Aries, 2 black skirt tetras, and 5 Cory's. (Snails too, lol) All do very well together. My angels are getting huge. Which makes me happy. Anyhow, would putting guppies and mollies in actually be safe?. I know its mentioned in your other video, but size wise and temperaments, makes me hesitant. I have 5 total tanks, i have fish from loaches to guppies, frogs, danio and more.... thought?
I've kept angels in a dual canister tank by using rubber bands and betta fish plastic plants to block/divert the output. But I could tell at a glance when the rubber bands had slipped because the angels were all pushed to the opposite side of the tank. Really not athletic swimmers. The opposite of rainbowfish. But canister filtration for community tanks can be used, you just need to look into spray bars, rain bars, or homebrew DIY rubber-bands-and-plastic-plants type ways to block current on output.
I have two angelfish that must be 7 or 8 years old and for all that i have just used the water straight out of the tap. I live in San Diego California. Anyone from Southern California can tell you the water is rock hard.
I have two angelfish in a 10 gallon quarantine now, but I don't necessarily want more angelfish babies in there. Can I put a pictus catfish in there to eat the eggs if they DO have babies??
I have tried to breed angelfish, and mine would spawn and all, I saw wigglers (so darn cute!), and the daddy would move them around from place to place once in a while.... but eventually they would all get eaten by the other fish :( Do you move the eggs to another tank every time?? What am I doing wrong??? They are so beautiful!! I have a 90 gallon tank, and I am thinking about converting it into an Angel Fish maternity ward! LOL I just would like to have like two couples, and then increase their numbers naturally by letting them breed.
6 in a 55 wow. I just put two in my 75 and figure when they mature they'll fill the tank well enough. On top of that if they do prove to be a male and a female and pair off, all I will have to worry about is the one maybe two rainbows if they're still around.
I agree most dogs will thrive on the same food but some can develop allergies etc not being exposed to a bigger variety of foods. It’s why more kids have peanut allergies these days, they’re banned form everywhere so they don’t get a chance to build up tolerance/immunity
So, I got some angels from the big box shop, and I think some are altum. What temperature should I keep them at? I had the tank at 77°, but raised it to 83°. Too much too fast?
I got 2 juveniles in a 24 gallon which is really tiny until they grow up. I will try to give it to someone once they grow up or just sell it and buy a new type of fish like guppies or platys and stuff
Useful advice. Had 4 fish for around 2 years. Two smaller ones died within 2 weeks of each other and then the pair (who have produced egss 3 times but never fertilized) suddenly had big bust up, now smaller one swims face down in substrate and seems bloated. Seemed to be getting picked on by larger fish, so separated them, and then gave high quality food, green beans, blanched peas, spirulina etc only but still seems bloated and swims face on bottom of spare tank a lot of the time. Tried Epsom salts, garlic and more but still has this almost defeated aspect. It keeps going and if I sneak a peek it seems to swim happily about but then goes back to swimming face down. A bit strange.
Sorry if I missed it at work but what Tank mates would you recommend to keep with Angel fish I’ve set up a new tank. Sand substrate with live amazon sword plants I’m getting about 5 Angels but also want something else in there. 🐠 🐟
I eat cheeseburgers all day every day but with lettuce tomato and onions Just joking great advice I use two or three sponge filters or a low volume wet dry
Added 2 angels to my new 54 g aquarium. I have a Fluval 407 canister filter connected. Is the water too strong? It’s too late, already bought and set. Will they die? I’m sorry 😢
Hello, my mum bought me freshwater angelfish without checking all the requirements. Now, I know they need a 55 gallon tank, but mine is 51 gallons. Is that a very big problem?
Watching because my 8 yr old angel just died. She died a month after the mate. She bred me many babies that I sold to the pet store I just went and bought another two from.
Helpful one. I'm keeping Angelfish for the last 2 years. Yeah, they're aggressive one, not much aggressive but a little bit of aggressiveness they will show to each other for territory. They are good ones. My favorite strain in Koi angelfish. Whats about yours?
I only have a 15 gallon tank and when I bought 5 angelfish, the seller sent me 14 pieces (9 are for free) haha my goodness, I feel so embarassed. Soon I'll be having a 65 gallon tank with a four feet overhead sump filter 😩🤞
I have a mated. Pr in a 30 gal tank they are always laying eggs but after a few day they eat them what can I do to save the eggs or raise the babies .thanks jim
Does feeding a variety count if you mix it all together? Lol I mix community and spirulina flakes together and feed that 3-4 days a week. Well I guess I do still switch it up because then I feed a day of repashy “jerky” for the catfish, a day of frozen daphnia, no feed day, repeat. I just mix my flakes 🤷♀️ I’m also testing out trying to keep the flakes fresher and cheaper by buying in bulk, freezing the large jars, and then keeping out tiny containers that I can refill after a few weeks
So, I have angel fish. I got them about 2 years ago and I only feed them one food because I don’t wanna get them sick but I didn’t know it was good for them?
how many adult angelfish in all can i put in an 80 gallon tank( size 60inch long x 18 inch high x 18 inch deep) that i dont need to separate in the future..till now i have 4 juvenile of 7cm that are 3 marbles and 1 black...can i add more also if possible pairs? I need them to still be here as there permanent home..
I bought 6 Juvenile Angel fish, put them in a 20 gallon (planed on selling 4 as they got bigger then breeding with a pair and removing guppies so that they have enough space) with guppies. The aquarium had been running with guppies for over 2 months within a week of putting in the Angel fish all 6 died + 2 Guppies after Angels. I have no idea why some started swimming upside down others just seemed lethargic, the first two who died didn't make it thru the first night. want to buy more? What should I really look out for or have in aquarium? PH 7.4 temp around 28 C No Ammonia or Nitrite very low reading of Nitrate after the Angels died. Any help would be appreciated, Thank you.
I have a 30 and two angel fish with black skirt tetras and guppies although I will replace the guppies they just live with them cause I don’t have anywhere to put my guppies because they are old

That’s not how it works. It’s 20 per fish and then like 5 gallons off for every additional fish.
