My previous tank was angelfish+rummy nose tetras+german blue rams +pleco. Also had hoplo catfish with them. All did perfectly fine so definitely can agree with this list !
Have angels with Rasboras. Larger Rasbys and started with smaller angels. Very happy together in my 100gal acrylic tank for the last year and a half. As the angels grew still had no problems...Great channel
I thought long and hard about what kind of Tetras to get with my two angels and Geo Topajos. I decided on a school of congo tetras...I can't believe how large and beautiful they are. I also can't believe how active and insatiable they are. My 75 gallon tank is like a race track for them. So far the angels seem to take it in stride😊. Love the video
nice video. From my experience P. Cribensis can be a bit aggressive when they breed, they were chasing much bigger Angels in my 90 gal. My best choices from your selection will be corridoras, rams, and red nose barbs (Denison)
I just moved my pair of German blue rams & red eye tetra to a 75g. I’m planning on also adding a small group of rummy nose in from another tank. After that I was thinking of maybe a pair of angels and a small group of cories to complete the community?
This video was perfect for the 55 gallon tank i am preparing. However i do have a question about the angelfish, is it possible to have altum and marble angelfish in the same 55 gallon tank ?
Hello, thank you for this amazing video. I have a question 🙋🏻♀️. I own a 29 Gallon fish tank , what kind of fish would you recommend me to put in it. Thanks 🙏🏻 and have a great day.
Great video as always. My favorite fish to keep with angelfish are Corydoras and larger tetras. Currently have bronze Corydoras, columbian tetras, rosy tetras, and Congo tetras with my angelfish in a 75 gallon
Great vid! I don't refute anything you're saying here. 😊 If I might add 2 to that list speaking from experience: pearl gouramis and opaline gouramis. I started with those as a beginner; they coexist well. The other thing I'll mention to augment something you hinted at is biotopes. The fish I mentioned have a similar biotope so that works well. I do recommend the higher range of water temp provided you've got around 10 tanks per hour for flow. 82-84 at the most works well. I also recommend RODI water! 1 tbsp of Epsom salts per 5 gallons works well. I had a densely planted 30 later on only because I had no choice at the time. No CO2 and aluminum foil reflectors for strip lights. 👍 I've heard from others discus and angels work and upon research, they coexist naturally in places like the Amazon and places in South America.
Hi, I have a 450 lt aquarium and I put 425 lt water into it. I've 4 pairs of angelfish, platinum panda black-marble and blue all around 6". I've 2 gold severum with 1 white severum all around 7" . I've 3 dwarf gourami, 4 yo-yo loaches, 2 badis badis and a bunch of danios ( green, blue, grey, pink and gold ) . All are greatly living together. I've had great success in keeping angelfish in Betta sorority. I've Zoro success in keeping angelfish with molly and polar parrot. My mollies always used to chase angels and severums, even nipped fins . Only reason I put mollies is to eat algae. Polar parrots are even worse, they harrased everyone. Those 2 inches chased 6 and 7 inches fishes , uprooted plants , tore apart my sponge filter. My Oscar took care of them . I'm planning to get some pearl gourami for my angels
I'm loving your videos, getting back into fish keeping after an accident prevented me from the hobby. I've got a couple of tanks running at the moment and 1 of them I have Angelfish, bristlenose and a pleco, all small at the moment and I was wondering if you could give me some advice on some other fish I would like but want to know for sure if they would be compatible, I see that Rams are ok but what about; Clown loach Blood parrot cichlid Corydoras Severum would these guys be ok too. Hey, I have a 40 gallon planted tank with tons of cover. I have an angelfish and a dwarf gourami that don’t fight. I also have a bit of schooling fish as well and am looking for a ram. I’m wondering how many I should get because I’m not looking to breed any fish.
Can u tell me why my denison barbs aggressively chase my angels ? Both are young and not even fully mature. But they stressed them out to the extent that i had to seperate them in a very small 10 gallon tank for a while. I tried putting them back after 4-5 days but it happened again so im worried because i love both of them n i wana put them in together in the big tank. I have 6 denisons
Subscribed! Good videos. You sound like you know what you’re doing so slow down and give us more details about the species. Differences from Male from Female. More details on how or where they mostly look like and how to tell them apart. and variations… I still cannot tell them apart. Break it down just a lil deeper please we need it! Thx
I've got 5 angelfish, and they started out at nickel size. They all ended up being female. I've had to separate them in my tanks. I bought 75 gallon tank recently, hoping they would get along. My local fish store told me that I should be able to put 4 together in the 75-gallon ? I bought another 75 gallon. Also, I've not set up . Do you think they will ever get along?
Troy, You rock buddy. I was actually getting ready to put my 90 gal to an angel severum Tank. Will those 2 work together. I appreciate this video because I have been trying to figure out what to keep with my angel tank that I am setting up. I ended up losing all of my entire 90 gal tank to a bacteria and fungus that affected their slime coat. It killed off my African cichlids and clown loaches. I have to start all over again with my Tank. Deep cleaning it all to kill that bacteria uggh it was terrible. I was able to save my turquoise severum out of the 90 gal by moving him into my 55 gal temporarily. He is going to move back into my 90 gal once I get it up and running again. I was thinking of adding the turquoise severum a gold severum and maybe a red shouldered severum. A electric blue acara or 2. Definitely some bottom feeders. And angels not sure how many I can keep in a 90 gal. I don't want to overstock like you do for African cichlids. I am going to look for those Denison barbs and how many can I put in a tank of all these species? 90 gals is big but I want to be cautious of course. Thanks appreciate the video Bro.
Okay, I have a 55-gallon aquarium with a few pieces of driftwood. I'm gonna add a bunch of live plants and currently have around 30-35 tetras (black neon, neon, flame, rummy nose, yellow phantom). Do you think I could add about 8 panda Cory's and maybe 2 or 3 angels? I know you did mention that mabey neon tetras and angels might not be the best idea, but i do have a lot of cover.
What are yr thoughts, I currently have 3 Abnio Hecklers about a quarter size. Would Congo', Angles and Green Cories be a good fit? If so, how many? Tank size 75 gallon.
Sorry. Not related to this video. But I really want to get some blue acara. And I was wondering if they would get allong well with my common/sailfin pleco.. He is about 12cm. And what's the minimum tank size to keep them together and happy? Thank you
Hey mate, your Sailfin will be about 30 centimetres at the end of the year. Blue acaras and plecos get along great, I'd definitely look at getting at least a 4ft/120cm 75g tank so that they have some space to move and at least turn around. Bigger is always better though!
@@itsthecorbinshow thanks for the advice. I have had this pleco for 10 years now. He was about 2cm when I got him.. He is currently in a 140litre aquarium. I am looking for a bigger one for him but struggle to find In my area. But for now he is happy. Swims around just fine
