@@fatheadgubber4585to be fair that’s a unique gun with a special effect and model (not sure if it’s the same model as dl1) while this one has no special properties. Not defending the volk it totally should’ve been in the retro wave bundle instead, it’s just the less bad deal to get the volk

Imagine paying 200 DL points to have a firearm, meanwhile in first game you ran few minutes towards the coast and could find free one on the ground right after leaving Tower.

It's even stupider than that, because of techlands allergies to patching bugs there exist accessible in game ways to get am assault rifle, pistol, smg, and shotgun in old villedor before you even know who Jai is.

Its even worse when you know that if you finish Jai's quest, you get a free purple pistol.. i mean we can go on and on forever.
@blackister4768 I completely forgot about the harran pistol (got it on my main NG+ file and only that). Now that they've patched out the free guns glitch I'm skeptical that it's motivated by the gun kit they're selling. I can't confirm that but it wouldn't surprise me.

This is why me and my friends doesn’t like how the directions of game are being developed. There will be “rarer” AAA games from big company that has huge success because most “big” company wants/needs quick profits. And the fastest way to do that is what causes the “horrible state” of games everywhere. “Unfinished”, “micro transactions”, “gacha/gamble”, “subscriptions”, and many more. Its just hard for the developer when you’re pressured to just “milk the players” with less room for creativity which was the selling point of “old” games.

Seriously though, why do we have to pay for a pistol? Especially when you can just go straight to the central loop and complete Jai’s quest in around ~20 minutes to get a pistol, and you could also just look around for a bit to find a way more military medkits than what they’re selling. I don’t know if I’ll even consider buying the dlc at this point with how things are currently going.

@@Rabomoje Except they hardly did any of this to the first game. The DLC bundles can be counted but not to this extent. They changed. There's a reason DL2 is shit compared to the first game. That love and passion seems to have disappeared

The whole game is mid af. It gets some decent updates every once in a while but they stop being fun after an hour.
This event could’ve been sick if it was Viral Rush + Infinite Ammo for all weapons. But techland being a modern game company has to do the dumber thing
Plus I mean I can't really critisize Fallout for being like this because Bethesda is acting like a grandpa with a heavy hearing loss, so fans already got used to it. Plus Fallout series isn't going that bad, even though they create lots of argument points for fans
But Techland just started not too long ago and they're ALREADY trying to dig a grave for themselves. Not a good start I'd say

Well the first game also has MTX issues (especially with PvP) but at least is overall a better game and is now left untouched after they've dropped support for it, so it can't be made worse.
