As a licensed Radiologic Technologist, I agree with Dr. Osborne regarding the effectiveness of DEXA as a diagnostic tool for osteoporosis.
At age 34 I had severe osteoporosis with multiple fractures in my spine (my family has a genetic mutation that makes osteoporosis happen much easier). After a year I switched to a plant based diet and was finally able to start healing. My pain went away and I could start walking without a walker. I slowly added weight bearing exercise and my life is so different today. My osteoporosis is reversing (no medication). The two biggest things that have helped me are a plant based diet and weight bearing exercise. You have a lot of great information that is very helpful. Please consider recommending a plant based diet, leaving out any food that aren't helpful individually.

Is this covered in the book No Grain No Pain. I want to spend my funds in the most effective way to improve and keep my health. I hope to prevent/ delay disease and stay lively and mobile and avoid symptom suppressing meds in the future.
Thankyou for this content, its truly thought provoking. I also believe focusing on nourishing the body and moving will in turn return/keep us to our optimal weight and body composition.
Was on Eventity. Reversed my osteoporosis. Then Doc wanted me on ProLiant. The medications caused inflammation of my esophagus. Told I have to stay on medication or will have a fracture and end up in nursing home. She would not even address the side effects I experemced
This is horrible, I feel for you, as I fractured two thoracic vertebrae, I’m 57 and my endocrinologist wants me on Forteo😞
@@mariamarino138 I had some side effects from that too. I think I am hypersensitve to these medicines. I just have got to get with Dr. Osborne for his help. Best to you. I will say that I reversed my osteoporosis to osteopenia, but have to continue taking all this mess to do so according to her.

Hi Dr O. My friend told me she always find bruises on her body even though she didn't hurt herself. I told her she probably needs more vitamin C, but she said she take vitamin C, so anything else she should try. She fell and shattered her shoulder so anything besides vitamin D, thanks.
It might be vitamin K1
Can you change anything through diet, exercise, supplements, etc., if Osteoporosis is prevalent in the family? Mother, sisters have osteoporosis.
And started listening more to how my body reacts after I eat anything
But wow I think I’m so sensitive to almost everything 😥I was estén quinoa I left the rice noddles etc but still noticed it was bad for me
So I just stop eating it too

I am taking Fosteum plus which has triphosphate and sodium phosphate in it. Are these bisphosphonates? Will they make my bones brittle?
These are not bisphosphonates, just normal vitamins and minerals.
