Going at a guest to prove something for yourself by repeating and interrupting is not journalism or good manners. Any future spending will include inflationary pressures and asking someone to talk to economic values five years out to a department level % is very little value. I will say the point on PMQs was welcome to ensure we all keep in mind how we should speak about and value each other

The supposedly 0.5% increase Over 6 years is negligible with An already hollowed out and depleted armed forces especially the Army's reductions of troops.
What on earth was the interviewer doing?
Spending increases to 2.5% and that would be the equivalent of £75bn more than today. Simple. There’s no point getting silly about the numbers - if the economy grows then it would be more than £75bn too.

The blow out panels idea needs to be revised due to the threat from drones as is being witnessed with the vulnerabilities of the m1a1 In Ukraine at the moment, it’s way to easy to target the large thin blow out panels right at the top of the vehicle, new tanks should be designed with the munitions in the hull with blow out panels beneath the vehicle and also to keep the tank relevant a less combustible powder needs to be designed somehow, also I think the two piece Ammo should have been retained somehow as it was much easier to store safely
Any new tanks being designed and built should be designed to work in conjunction with its very own spotting drones which in turn should be designed and connected to the tanks main fire control systems and new rounds will need to be designed to fire at a tank’s maximum gun elevation so as to hit a enemy tanks roof, so the tank loader could be trained to find targets with the drone and should the target be to far out for the tanks gun then he can engage with munitions on the drone but if a enemy tank is in range of the tank’s maximum range if the gun is super elevated then the drone should be and extension of the tanks fire control system and fully integrated , so obviously it would require new training for the gunners, but I’m sure this could be achieved

They must ask, will Downing Street compete in the battle space of the future by producing the aircraft for the fleet carerrier they have already built, and will they build the fleet to protect it? Or will the British still pretend they have a navy?
Too little too late, even the rise from 2 to 2.3% didn’t prevent cuts, didn’t solve any of the problems it just plugged the funding gap. A 0.2% rise 6 years down the line isn’t going to do anything. Defence has major issues and rather than fix them rishis only solution is to pledge a pitiful funding increase two parliaments later.

The irony of this interview.Criticising the politician for not answering the question and he can’t even give a proper “NON” misleading title to the interview.10 seconds at most on the challenger 3 tank.

Sorry but I have to down vote this video, while I'm grateful that your trying to hold him accountable. Working out that every MP will not know every little detail of everything the government does is expected and that he does not have the information pertaining to where the money will come from is clear, the question should of started with of he has been briefed on where the money will come from and who we should question pertaining to it. Raking him over the coals like this is just wrong.
Whilst I agree with the majority of your comment, this guy is the Minister for Defence and is responsible for procurement of contracts expenditure. If he doesn't or wasn't adequately prepared prior to the "interview", he shouldn't have agreed to participate.

@@Withnail1969 tanks tend to do that on battlefields when used inappropriately and without combined arms :) but neither side has that capability.
