Sorry - one more question. Do you know an easy way if you need one side to be flat (no fingers)? Or do I simply need to directly edit the path manually? Thank you!!
I would create a rectangle that overlaps the toothed shape where you need the straight edge to be and then use the Pathfinder Minus tool to cut off the teeth on that edge.
You can go to object>path>offset path and give it a kerf dimension. If you do this, you will also need to add the kerf amount to the thickness of the wood, otherwise the offset will push the wood out a bit.
Brandon - I’m not quite getting it abut using offset path & adding to the wood measurement. I know you’re traveling, when you get a moment can you elaborate? (Sorry - my brain has a hard Time wrapping itself around these things.) Thank you so much & have a safe trip!
Thanks for the neat trick
my guyyyyy

Ah, that makes sense. Thank you! (You should teach AI classes! You have a great way of breaking it down to the simplest steps. )
Can you teach me how to interlock hands with father? I haven't seen him since he went out to buy milk.
How do you account for kerf?

If that isn't clear, let me know. I'm in line at the airport, so my response capabilities are limited.
Awesome! I’ll try that. I’m so excited that this looks quite easy!

Ooh! Never mind. I played around with different things and figured it out. Thank you soooo much!
