Thank you for this GREAT video! I've spent probably $100 on books that couldn't tell me what you just showed me in 15 minutes. Kudos to you!!!! Excellent teacher for this!
This is great! Thank you. You should also add that you can make one cut between each board instead of two by deleting one side and merging the pieces together. Saves time and reduces scrap.
Good point. I was going for more beginner, and thought kerf adjustment is nice but not necessary. But adjusting for kerf is definitely the next step in making items that fit together perfectly.
Amazing Tutorial. Any idea how would be the case if i want to add these tabs on inclined planes. so basically i want to make a pyramid with finger joints on its 3 sides.
Hi it’s is probably obvious but how do I get the taps in the correct place. When I turn them 180 deg I am having to alter and they are a fraction out. Thanks
I'm really not sure. The only thing I can think of is what I'm talking about at the 3 minute mark. The align stroke choice could affect that as well I think.
I believe it depends on your laser cutter, but PDF is usually a good choice. But the glowforge also takes SVG and DXF. Other laser cutters work more like a printer and you send it a print job and then use the laser interface.

Great video, thank you for the insight. Going more into kerf might be helpful. Thanks again.

Followed it exactly but Box joints are extremely loose, probably because the kerf is not taken into account
Yes. This is doing it very simply and you need glue to hold the box together.
what vthe file format for printing in lazer cut?
