Hey fam , starting this new series - BASICS of INTERNSHIP .
Share it with your fellow mates 🌈
Advice : kindly use earphones & do tell me review of the video .
Here are the labour room peds duties of an intern :
5 steps that should be followed .
1) RECIEVE the baby in a dry cloth and see if he is crying .
2) RUB rub & rub vigorously until baby starts crying .
Take the baby to warmer & continue further steps over there .
Clean the baby from head to toe (in that order) .
If the baby is not crying , he might be in respiratory distress , start CPAP ( continuous positive airway pressure ) and call your seniors .
If the baby doesn’t have a heartbeat , give ambu bag and mask ventilation and start cpr .
3) clamp the umbilical cord 2 fingers or 2 cms away from the umbilicus .
4) weight of baby .
If less than 1.7kgs ,inform yourself seniors . Also do head circumference and length of the baby if he is pre term ( before 37 weeks )
5) rule out TEF/anal atresia . Tef : tracheostomy’s-esophageal fistula . ( congenital malformations )
& BOOM .

Hi ! Really appreciate the efforts you have put into making such good informative videos. This information is not easily available , apparently at least not to me as I'm still new to foreign learning options.
If possible, can you please make some videos regarding fellowship or maybe even permanent job options and procedure after completing post-graduation or super specialization.. along with maybe pros and cons for different countries .. few pointers to make a better decision.

I did mbbs from China but the university isn’t listed in the second schedule of Malaysian medical council but if I do postgraduation from China in the listed university of Malaysian medical council am I eligible for getting registration in Malaysian medical council ? Please say.
Wow, internship in India is way more fun compared to China(where you are not allowed to even touch patients forget about handling tasks on your own), I wish my university had allowed us to do our internship in India.

Only by doing either paid internship in other countries ( you pay and you learn) or best would be to come back to India and learn during internship .
didi...I have a doubt....I am a second yr medical student from India. Can I write PLAB exam during my internship. I heard PLAB can be written only after getting a medical degree. Medical degree is getting after after internship, right? So can I write PLAB exam during my internship?
Indian Medical student - no
Foreign medical student - yes .
Since both gets degree at different terms .

How many intership seats are available for FMGs in Safdarjung hospital Delhi? Will the hospital consider non Delhi students under less priority for intership selection?
50 for externs ( both indian graduates from other hospitals and fmg )
Take it as about 25 for fmg .

I'll answer that for you even though that question wasn't posed to me.
A normal delivery is possible in a person who had first delivery with Caesarian section.
The obstetrician will check if any risk factors are there and also the previous Caesarian section scar to see if it is healthy and able to withstand this pregnancy and normal delivery.
All in all, if everything about this baby is normal and the mother is healthy and fit,she can try for a normal delivery.
P.S.-If she has a history of 2 or more Caesarian sections,the remaining deliveries will always be via Caesarian section only. Normal delivery wouldn't be advised under such circumstances. Normal delivery is only considered if she has had only "one" Caesarian section in the past.
