Mike this spectacular Estate , that was brilliant idea of Solar on the roof , with still enough room for turf roof top deck ! 10 acres with your Own Waterfall? Talking about Dream Home ! The rooms all have Ocean or Waterfall Views ! Great Video !👍
My good friend built this house. I think he should have wrapped it in marble though and consulted a design expert. He did everything on his own. I built the railroad tie stairs and the waterfall lookout for the current owners who are really good people. Glad to see they’re still holding up to the elements after all these years.
That piece of land is absolutely amazing. Probably the most stunning landscape/lot I've ever seen you post. That said, the house strikes me as anything but Hawaii. Very cold, ultra-modern and stark. Very odd layout as well with the bedrooms and bathrooms. I can totally appreciate the craftsmanship that went into building it, but all of the appeal of this property is the landscape itself.
This is a complete tear down. Soon after a gathering of all the mightiest wizards in the world would have to be summoned in an attempt to resurrect Frank Lloyd wright.
For those who don't like this home. I have been building High Rises for 40 years and this home could withstand just about anything Mother Nature could throw it's way. If the worst Hurricane comes to any Hawaiian Island come here not the mainland.
When I was around 9-10 I dove into the deep end of the city pool and sat on the bottom watching people swim around for a few minutes. I felt so comfortable being there, a sureal underwater solitude. Then a lifeguard came and tried to pull me up to the surface, where he yelled at me not to do that again. I could of stayed underwater for a few more minutes.
Aloha Mike, I love the design of this home. I live a few islands away here on Oahu. It is a Preppers Paradise and very easy to take off grid and add off grid applications such as a self contained EV Charging Station for a 4 wheel drive Jeep. The waterfall would be perfect for hydroelectric generation along with solar and wind turbines. I can see plenty of room to grow a garden with plenty of room inside to store canning jars for long term food storage. Along with the helopad, I can easily see plenty of room for low profile Ham radio antennas and a entertainment center. I would add a workshop in or near the garage area too and yet still have plenty of room for classic cars. ❤
Being on the wet side of the island near Hilo, I can see the need for concrete construction. Still, it must be a constant battle to keep the mold at bay.
The land the view the location is almost perfect but I'd definitely demolish and build a different house. The pool however should have been right at the edge of the cliff, makes it more better especially if it's an infinity edge pool. It'll be like the pool is connected to the ocean. I'd make myself a private beach at the bottom of that cliff too and make it look more resort like
I assumed that all beaches must be public in Hawaii. Does the coastline that come with this property count as a "beach" and must be opened to public access? Or if you do decide to build a proper beach, will that also have to be legally opened to the public?
@@t.3465 1. yes all beaches are public. 2. there is a public right to shoreline, but not a public right to go over your property to get to it 3. you will not be able to build a beach, nor would you want to because all the sand would wash away.
I know that house in Ninole on the Hamakua coast. It used to belong to the guy from backstreet boiz. Love island was filmed there a few years ago. Hawaii Big Island

What a magnificent property. It's amazing but I'm terrified of heights. We were joking about how long it would take me to go near the cliff, the edge of the roof, the diving platform, or the glass elevator. It is definitely worth that price and more.

how are the schools in this particular location? thanks in advance.
I think most people in this range are going to send their kids to private schools-
They will not be stoked on you, your children or your money. Have to send them to a private school cause they're going to get picked on hella hard.
Some of the worst in the nation… compare them to public schools in Mississippi! Home school the kids or send them to a private school, of which there are only a few, 40 or 45 minutes away.
