Stunning property. I usually don’t like the modern look, it this one is amazing. I love the fact that they are keeping the hot tub separate from pool. The one thing that surprised me was no photovoltaic- then again, if you can afford the house, you can afford the electric bill!

Beautiful house, Mike. You didn't list as a favorite the actual "feel" of the house - the serenity and peace when you're in the house or by the pool. I've actually looked at the property some time ago and my clients LOVED it! However, they chose to buy elsewhere. Wonderful property.

Just stunning. I can't think of anything to change. I still want to ADD one of those flat round cooking surfaces as part of the out door kitchen. One fun thought: Hire some local artists to do some carving into random rocks in the lava rock wall. Somethings that would reflect the island life. Say a turtle, the sun, a whale, etc., just hidden in the rocks. Still buying my Lotto tickets.
Water features, a waterfall, koi pond, etc. Plenty of spaces for something to add.

Those round flat cooking surfaces that you are mentioning are a brand called EVO. I learned about them on Mike’s channel from some other fabulous homes. I hope to put one in my lanai here in Fl when my house is finished being built. But wow are they costly!

The site specific layout and design are outstanding. They have maximized the lot without crowding the house and have captured the viewshed perfectly. The harmony of materials is equaled by the quality of the craftmanship. If I had any criticism it would be that the landscaping lacks the impact, that the hardscaping and architecture present. In particular the outdoor showers and the beds above the retaining walls seem very sparse and vacant. The courtyard also so much more landscaping potential to live up to. This criticism is very minor in comparison to all that they did so very well. This property is ideal and demonstrates superb design.
Gorgeous place. If I had to pick something I could nit pick is that it's on the golf course and people could build on the other side of the fairway.
much lower though- but those are not even divided up lots yet, so it's a long way off. This is an exclusive place and they have strict height restrictions.

Extremely nice home and grounds. I would remove the unsightly giant fire pits. They are too big for the space, and they block the ocean view. One circular fire pit near the outdoor kitchen would be plenty. Tiki torches are tacky -- say no to tiki torches. All the windows and doors are awesome.

What is the water source out in Hokulia?
Hokulia has a private water supply.
How far from Hilo Airport? Where is the closest shopping area for food and mall? Is there an HOA? Is there a discount for residents using golf course or membership?
You would likely fly in to the Kona airport, about 30 minutes away. Hilo is a couple of hours. There is an HOA, and there is a golf course for members only- no discount, but if you're not a resident and a member, you can not play there. It's not open to the public. This is an ultra exclusive resort with an initial membership fee of $150,000 for new properties, and $30,000 for transfers. There's nothing discount about it!
@@HawaiiRealEstateso Iam assuming new buyer would pay the $30K. How about shopping/ super markets? I know all about Oahu and know the Ironman was on the Big Island Kona. Any other hidden fees and what is the HOA?

There are other lots but i think the way this home is designed, they really will not come in to play.

What are the chains outside for that go from the roof to the ground? What does private water mean? What about the sewer...
It's connected to a private sewer system in the community. Private water means a system that is not owned by the county. As for the chains, they slow the water coming down so that it does not wear a hole in the ground by splashing away the dirt.

Love everything about the place except for two things: 1. 3 active volcainos on that island 2. Over 100 earthquakes a year
You may want to come see where the volcanos are. The most active one is an hour and a half drive away. And the earthquakes? I maybe actually feel only one every 2 years. Besides that, everywhere has something- forest fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, blizzards, floods, heat waves. Nobody has died here from a volcano in over 100 years.
Looks like an aggressive offer was made on this property. I hope that you are a recipient of the sale.

What is the deal with all the dual showers? I think I speak for the vast majority of people when I say that I prefer, no DEMAND to shower alone! Just as I prefer to use a toilet in privacy! I am just perplexed by how many of these dual showers that I'm seeing these days!
I think that a lot of people like to shower together, but nobody wants to be out of the hot water!!! With 2 you can always still shower alone, invitations are optional!
