Thank you! Mine is a Canon mount. Nothing was visibly broken but it would only connect properly about 20% of the time. I'd almost given up on it but decided I'd try this first. It worked!
Hell yea! Always nice to save something that you first thought might be broken. Did you have to replace the hotshoe or was the connector just faulty and had to reseed it?
Actually get asked this question a lot I might reach out to Godox for this question but I’d assume no - likely the internal firmware is different in each and I don’t think the hotshoe mount has that firmware.
@zyx did you ever find out? I just switched from Fuji to Canon, and I’d love to mod my v1F and my x pro f trigger to have canon hot shoe mounts instead. Cheaper than selling for half and buying new gear lol
Hey - personally as an IT person I'd assume it's different drivers/firmware and wouldn't allow this; but I think you should contact GODOX support to ask that question, don't want to give you inaccurate info :)
@JosephValenti yeah it is something like that. When I adjust the head and Swivel it around, that's when it starts to go crazy. So any little movement you add, leads to it malfunctioning. I have pushed the ribbon and the hotshoe in as much as they go, but still have the problem.

@@JosephValenti I didn't replace the hotshoe, just the piece on the flash. I'm hoping it lasts!
Glad it worked!@@nicoladavison2848
Thanks Joseph. I just did this replacement and the flash is working great again.

Can i switch the hot shoe from Godox V1 for Nikon to Sony?
Hey, no you can't - internal firmware would be different.
How do I get the black part off covering the metal hot shoe part?
It should slide right off; maybe it's stuck on yours?
Hi can I use the same replacement part to fix a neewer z1s flash is the v1 hot shoe part compatible?
Hello, the firmware is probably different but I never tested this sorry
I own a V1 for Sony but switching from Sony to Nikon, if I replace the mount to Nikon mount, will it work ?
I don’t believe so. The internal firmware would be different
Can you add the link of the repair part. Nice video.

you are the real mvp
Glad I could help!!
Awesome! Do you think it would be possible to convert a V1 nikon
To a V1 sony by simply changing the hot shoe?
Actually get asked this question a lot I might reach out to Godox for this question but I’d assume no - likely the internal firmware is different in each and I don’t think the hotshoe mount has that firmware.
I wondwr about if i can use a Fiji v1 on a Sony if i replace the hot shoe. Please ask godox!
I bought V1 for Canon, can I theoretically buy a hot shoe for Fuji and then swap the hot shoe of the V1 when I'm using a Fuji?
Hmmmmmmm this I am not sure I’d imagine the firmware being significantly different. Maybe send an email to godox support - couldn’t hurt
@zyx did you ever find out? I just switched from Fuji to Canon, and I’d love to mod my v1F and my x pro f trigger to have canon hot shoe mounts instead. Cheaper than selling for half and buying new gear lol
I think you should try it! Godox transmitter X pro! My boss uses his Nikon one on a Sony a7iv and it works fine
Does this also work with converting say a sony flash to olympus for example?
Honestly probably not because firmware. But would be worth experimenting I might ask them / send them a support message
Is this a standard universal replacement? Will this work with my v350s
I am for sure not sure. Godox will help you out if you reach out to them , they even sent me a free part tho it took a long time
Sir i have one doubt .i had canon mount v1c..if i change sony hot shoe to it..can i use ot for sony camera
I’ll say most likely not, the internal firmware is probably different
thank you sir for your message....
Do it 😂 @@ssdigitalssuresh9697

Do you think I could change a Canon mount to a Sony mount shoe?🤔
I don't believe so - likely firmware wont' allow this.
Thank you very much
You’re very welcome! Glad it helped
Can I put the canon hot shoe on a Fuji Godox V1
I am not sure I don’t think so, I’d assume firmware internally is different
thank you!!
You’re welcome!
Does calling Godox for the free replacement actually work? 🤔
It did for me but it took a very long time. I have two now. One that I bought off Amazon and one that Godox sent me
@@JosephValenti by chance do you remember how you contacted them?
I just searched but cant find a U.S. number for them

The ribbon doesn’t slide in tho
Hey still having issues?
Try the other way round (connector surface). Worked for me.
Has anyone replaced the mount with the new metal one and now none of the buttons work?
Hey it might not be seeded correctly , can you try and reseed it

I wonder if it's the mount on your camera and not the flash, do you by chance have another camera to test it on? @@venturamediaqld
