Is it still worth buying in 2023?

Hi Svetlana, short answer is yes. The V1 is still a valid option in 2023. Speed lights don't get replaced very often like mobile phones because all the options V1 has to offer are generally enough for most genres of photography. There may be incremental improvements that Godox may bring over time, but in 2023 and probably a few years from now the V1 is great speed light, also a very good value compared to alternatives like Profoto a10. Depending on how you use you may want to consider other options, like if you never have it on top of the camera and remotely trigger it, there also the ad100 and ad200, moreover if you are not fond or round head flashes you can check my video comparison between the V1 and the V860 III. Thanks for watching, best of luck !

I wonder if this flash is strong enough for outdoor use.

It depends where and how you use it/what modifiers you use with it. It can somewhat be used(as direct flash) but, anything like high speed sync, used with umbrellas, softbox it is on the weak side from my experience it does not provide enough power for outdoors use during the day, I usually take at least an ad200 or higher when I shoot outside, thanks.
