Good catch! That could have left you stranded for sure if it broke. Clutch cable on the side of the road is a royal pain!
I had a clutch cross shaft break on a tranny a couple years ago. That was not a fun ride home. hehehe

also the original cross shaft throw out bearing arms can break but they made a beefier version. Whats the quality of new cables these days.
