A fantastic example of the very rare Gold Coloured James Bond Aston Martin DB5 Car produced by Corgi in or around 1966, Corgi Model Number 261 Die cast metal model. Finished with a gold bodywork with silver trim and red interior, this wonderful diecast models secret operating features include Retractable Front Weapons, Opening Roof with Ejector Seat, Rear Retractable Metal Screen, James Bond Driving, plus Electable Villain that sits on the ejector seat and Free Rolling Wheels.

I remember having and playing with this as a kid. I don't remember the display plinth but may have just thrown that away as all I wanted to do was play with it. So definitely had the one of the first two models. Apparently I annoyed my Sister by taking off the tyres of all my cars for some reason. No idea why. Anyway great memories. Didn't know they re released it. If only I had the space to have kept them all as I grew up. Never grow up.

I had the gold one. My brother had the silver one. The gold one was a bit smaller. The silver one had more features. This would have been the late '60s. Better times. The larger silver one had tyre slashers and revolving number plates too. The original gold ones are the colour I remember. The new version is a different gold altogether. Not as pleasing to the eye.
