  • Motorcycle Riding is thrilling, enjoyable and really can be life changing. The fact that I only started riding back in 2017 really makes me feel like I've really missed out on this joy in my life. Hopping in the saddle switch the key and hitting that start button on my bike can easily and quickly change my day from being boring to suddenly being exciting!
With all the thrills and excitement aside, to ride a motorcycle for years and to do it safely does really take experience and knowledge about motorcycles. When you're starting most new things there is a form of a learning curve that you have to get through. With motorcycle riding this learning curve can be quite steep. With these two wheeled machines there are many other things to be aware of and learn about besides just building up your skills as a confident rider.
In this video, Im quickly going through 5 things I wish I knew before I started my journey into the world of motorcycle riding. If I would've been aware of either of these things it could've easily made me more confident and kept my first motorcycle in tip top shape. I hope this video provides value to any beginners out there.

    Happy new year 🎆🎊🎈
I agree with all of that! It’s idiotic to ride without all of that stuff! Unfortunately my dyna doesn’t have abs

I had no idea how much more maintenance was involved in owning a motorcycle. Like you mention, tires need to be replaced far more often than car tires. Chain maintenance was something I had no idea about. While my car can be fine for months at a time, my motorcycle requires weekly checks. I recall hearing about this when I started to ride, but I didn't understand the reasons behind all the checks.
I also wish I knew more about how expensive riding can be. It costs a lot of money to get the right gear head-to-toe for each type of weather. Something changes about my gear every 10 to 15 degrees.

Absolutely! I went into this just thinking about getting from point A to B with out crashing! I really didn’t know how much more there was to it!
And you’re right the amount of gear we need for any slight change in weather does really add up. Glad we share the same opinions 👍🏼

I'm still bad at getting myself better riding gear, some stuff is just so $$$

Do you like the aftermarket plate that I see installed under your Scrambler seat? I saw it for sale on eBay, and was wondering about the quality.
