I’m a small business owner and I sell products in the medical dental field. Reputation is everything. When you sell a product you put your name behind what you’re selling. Amen brother!!
This is the second home in which ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU we've replaced our "regular" doorbell with a Ring video doorbell and we really enjoy it. It is very easy to install and it works very well, with a clear picture through the app and good in-home use (we added the chime, which is also easy to install and doesn't require another thought to use).
I’m LOVE that my Rings and my Echo Shows work GREAT together. I can turn movement off except for when a human is present. I DO NOT have alerts going off all the time. I DO NOT have any problem with recognition with my Ring Doorbells and my Echo Shows.
I’m happy to hear they work so great for you. That’s great if you love them. But I can tell you as a person that used to install them everyday, you’re in the minority (as far as Ring owners go).
When they work, they work great. But like I said in the video, after installing them on a daily basis we ran into way too high of a fail rate (out of the box) & that made us look bad more often than not. As small business owner, I can’t afford that. But I’m happy to hear you like yours & have avoided the issues. If it works & gives you peace of mind, that’s all that matters.
@@GeorgeLangabeer I totally agree with you, in my neighborhood we have Ring camera's and they failed when needed. A car was broken into and out of the five neighbors that had the Ring Camera not one pick up the burglary. We all checked our Ring Camera and nothing, we figured they jammed the Wifi signal as the only camera that picked it up was an old wired camera by one of my neighbors. That's why I'm asking what is the best wired camera out there.
I bought a hardwired RING basic doorbell for my 82 year-old, mostly deaf, mother, so she would receive visual notification of visitors that would alert her on her cellphone, which is also hooked up to her hearing aids. Because my elderly mother is in a fixed income, and not very technologically proficient, I opted for the most basic, simple, least expensive version that is supposed to replace any existing hardwired doorbell and can be installed by almost anyone with minimal electrical or mechanical skill, like myself. I do have some knowledge about home maintenance and repairs, however-so I first checked the specs on her existing 40 year-old doorbell that worked perfectly since installation long before my family purchased the house- and the specs for the transformer were in line with the requirements for the basic hardwired RING. I even checked the wiring with a voltmeter and the reading confirmed the power was adequate. I then followed the installation instructions meticulously and upon completion the RING doorbell failed to function, supposedly due to inadequate power from the transformer. Tracking down the transformer was more difficult and when I finally located it, in the darkest, most inaccessible creepy old closet in the garage, nestled among 50-year-old cobwebs and God knows how many spider carcasses, not to mention the still living crawling things that probably reside there, I had to throw in the towel. I’m handy, but fuck spiders in my hair- and I don’t give up easily so this was a moment of great frustration for me. Dejected and angry, I uninstalled the RING, defeated, and reinstalled the old doorbell. At this point I had already drilled holes in the brick to mount the new button, which was larger than the old one so the old holes were hidden behind hit- to do this I had to purchase a masonry bit for my drill- needless to say I was EXTREMELY unhappy having to mount the old button, leaving the two new holes visible. My mother’s home, while old, is very nice-she keeps things very neat and tidy and while two small screw holes may not seem like a big deal to most, my mom HATES flaws like that. Still, I carefully rewired the old button and securely mounted it to its original 40 year location only to discover- IT NO LONGER WORKED!!! After 40+ years of flawless operation!!!! I was already wary of RING because the wiring instructions intentionally bypassed the chime, so that by installing the RING, you lost the regular chime function of the existing doorbell- of course, in order to retain regular doorbell function RING required an upgrade to the next model, which was 2.5 times the cost of the basic. This, I felt, was an underhanded, intentional effort to force customers to purchase the more expensive model by purposely configuring their product in a way that unnecessarily disconnected the existing doorbell chime. So when I found my old doorbell suddenly broken after attempting to install the RING, I researched the basic model online and found, unsurprisingly, that countless other customers all experienced the same issue, regardless of the type, model, manufacturer, age or configuration of their existing and previously functional doorbell. When I contacted RING I was told they would be happy to “fix” the problem their product caused by replacing my transformer for “free” IF I upgraded to their model that cost 2.5 times more than the basic version. WHAT A COMPLETE SCAM. That fraudulent, unscrupulous company is selling thousands of unsuspecting customers a product that will damage their personal property, thereby forcing them into spending more than double their original investment or else the customer, while they may be refunded, will no longer have a functional doorbell and face a much more difficult and expensive repair as a result. For many people, especially senior citizens like my 82 year old mother, who are concerned about home safety and want a video doorbell for personal security, but who may also be living in a fixed income, attempting the very simple RING basic installation is already a challenge, so to then be confronted with a transformer malfunction or more complex electrical wiring issue, they are totally out of their depth and stuck with no doorbell at all or forced to purchase a RING PRO, that they cannot afford and may not even be able to operate or understand. FURTHERMORE, after the RING BASIC damages their existing transformer, the installation of another wired doorbell, the installation of the RING PRO doorbell or even the repair/replacement of their now faulty transformer will doubtless require they acquire the assistance of someone with some level of technical knowledge or professional experience to locate the old transformer and solve the problem. What if the transformer is in the crawl space??? How the hell could my 82-year-old mother ever resolve the problem caused by the CROOKS AT RING, without paying somebody??? Now, I know I can go buy a transformer and face my fear of spiders and swap it out, but that will set me back at least $30 and an hour or two of my time, not to mention subject me to extreme emotional angst, when prior to making the mistake of assuming a company as well-known and heavily promoted as RING would be peddling a decent product that functioned as promised and treat customers fairly, my mother had a perfectly good, functional, reliable doorbell that never gave her any problems. If there is any advice you can offer me, regarding my current dilemma after I GOT TOTALLY DEFRAUDED, CHEATED, SCAMMED, AND RIPPED OFF BY THE SCANDALOUS, UNETHICAL THIEVING CORPORATE CRIMINALS AT RING, WHO CON TENS OF THOUSANDS OF CUSTOMERS AND CHEAT AND LIE FOR PROFIT, I would be very grateful. As of right now, I plan to install a motion activated camera that has nothing to do with the now broken doorbell, and with a gun to my head I will force myself to install a new wired doorbell and transformer- troubleshooting the old bell and transformer seems daunting and like it may lengthen the amount of time I have to spend in the creepy, dark, dirty cabinet in the garage with the 50 year old spider nest.
Sorry to read all that. Quite the ordeal. I’m guessing you don’t want her to have to worry about charging a battery, but a good battery doorbell like The Eufy DUAL would get you around having to worry about the electrical issues.
Thank you for caring and sharing you honest thoughts and educate us. You have true compassion in caring of others, especially with us strangers. I’m a single mom with 2 kids, just closed on a house, on a budget, have a lot to think about.
Enjoy your videos. I think the use of a monitoring system depends on where you live so we know your reference is. I have a sister with Ring and she has not had any problems, has moved it between rental properties, and no problems with the system. At a condo building where I lived, the Ring doorbell is on many interior doors and it also works well in that application. The good thing with various products and price points/functions is that the end-user can find what fits their needs.
I am in Michigan and have a little of everything, had the Ring Pro doorbell since the beginning and it has worked flawlessly. Now the batter Ring cam, it's kind of crap but that piece you referred to that falls off, there is a screw that holds that in so that should never happen, it's a proprietary screw that you don't want to lose but never had anything fall off, however it just disconnected yesterday so have to go out in the snow and pull the battery out and put it back in. LOL. Long story short, only buy WIRED Ring doorbells.
This video is pretty old. Lots have happened and not sure if you come back to check these older comments. However, I am looking at a few security systems and I wanted to know your take on the best available system for apartments. What I’m looking for. -Easily pairable on an app where they can all sync. I have an apple phone if that helps. -WiFi with cellular backup if powers out. -Smart locks to pair with - Great Doorbell cam with facial recognition(not notified for bushes blowing, etc) -Great indoor security system nothing too crazy maybe a cam or 2 but that can all sync to the same app and system. Appreciate your hard and honest work. And congrats on your battle may God continue blessing you
I was looking into Aqara products and it appears they're just as expensive as ring, etc. Except Ring packages everything together making it easier to know what you're buying. For Aqara, there's a few indoor cameras, a few sensors. I'm not even sure where to start I'd like to stack "burglary system" with 1 main indoor camera in the living area, a few sensors, a doorbell cam, and a smart lock for one of the doors. I live in a first floor 3 bd apartment in a hot and humid environment year round. Price wise, what would I be looking at? Also could you help point me in the right direction, thanks!
Aqara makes a much better system than Ring does. Not only that, but selling everything separately makes it easier to customize your system to your exact needs. As far as where to start…G2H pro for your camera (also acts as your hub), The G4 Doorbell, The U100 Smart lock and then check out their motion sensors, door/window contacts & water leak sensors. Some links: G2H Pro: amzn.to/3NSjfuo G4 Doorbell: amzn.to/3ptceHm U100 Lock: amzn.to/3PxrVaY Motion Sensor: amzn.to/3PzqKrp Door/Window Contact: amzn.to/3PCqt7d Water Leak Sensor: amzn.to/3Xtp44J Vibration Sensor: amzn.to/3XrgCDe
Glad i found this vid. Was thinking about a Ring.......but really knew nothing about the platform. You have changed my mind, and now I am seeking something better !
Thought about buying ring for my indoor apartment not no more thanks for the pros & cons . Is there a camera you can recommend. What do you think of Vistafocus or blink really need an indoor camera & device to watch my elderly parents, dogs, etc
I have a massive camera job that will be my first large sell on my own. This video is literally the power of UA-cam. I can't thank you enough for your comprehensive explanation. Now I'm off to see what content you have on best cameras in your opinion.
I wonder if it’s a weather issue for you. I have 2 properties here in California. 6 Ring cameras and doorbells between the two, they work perfectly for me. Extremely easy to install in minutes. I know many people here that have Ring devices. I’ve never asked if they are having issues but you know how people are, if there’s a problem with a product they tell you. Plastic is not a problem. It just makes them lighter. I like their products.
I am new to security. I was planning on getting the ring stick for my back yard and either doorbell and another stick for the porch. What do you recommend if not ring?
I think this hit almost every pain point of owning a ring device. I thought that I would get a better experience wiring the dual floodgate after owning the mini spotlight. But all I got was a worse one. The only thing I would add to this is the quality of video and loading into live view. Having fiber optic, a wired device, and the doorbell dedicated access point. It's not me, it's you ring. 💯
Yep, sounds like we’ve had very similar experiences. Unfortunate. They have such cool ideas, just wish their execution was a littke more on point. Thanks for the comment & thanks for watching!
could not get my Ring to work reliably. i tried with many calls to Ring for help. My iphone was within the Ring requirements but slightly dated. I finally gave up and got a Eufy. Works fine.
Hi ! I work with cloud services often so I’d like to give a few thoughts :) It is indeed crucial to address these concerns, as privacy and quality are essential factors when it comes to security devices. While I agree with the points you raised, I would also like to highlight another aspect that often goes unnoticed. Amazon Web Services (AWS) plays a significant role in powering various technological advancements, including facial recognition and AI options that Ring Cameras could ultimately use in the future. AWS provides the infrastructure and tools that enable features like real-time streaming to the cloud and facial recognition capabilities. It's important to acknowledge the potential of AWS as an innovation engine and recognize the impact it can have on the capabilities of Ring Cameras. Especially today when majority of smart devices are using AWS IoT tools and services. However, we must also consider the ethical implications associated with facial recognition technology, as it raises concerns about privacy, surveillance, and potential misuse. AWS, not amazon, needs to be careful on how they handle these matters since it’s on them if issues arise in regards to privacy. In conclusion, while we discuss the privacy issues and material quality of Amazon Ring Cameras, it is essential to expand the conversation to include the role of AWS in driving innovation, particularly in terms of facial recognition, AI, Cloud, IoT, and edge options. This broader perspective allows us to consider the implications and make more informed decisions regarding the use of such technology. Thank you for raising these concerns and keeping us informed :)
I just watched another video where a Ring doorbell almost caught a doorbell chime on fire, because it was continuously getting power through the wire, when it wasn't supposed to and the people in the house noticed a burning smell from the indoor chime. I'm just going to start leaving all my windows open and running around the house, nonstop.
as a security engineer myself we tend to replace ring products due to criminals jamming their products as ring isnt as secure as people think and the build quality feel cheap ,we use hikvision and dahua cctv and doorbells due to being reliable and build quality is bomb proof
have to agree on the Ring cons. I am a ring tester and as ring has progressed its gotten made cheaper, especially since Amazon bought them out. The lights rust and leak within 6 months, and as you know most of their features do not work well. At the beginning the 40% that didn't work was also due to internet speeds that in a lot of areas were only at 5 to 10 percent. That did improve with second generations and the last decade of infrastructure. BTW, Ring spotlight cams have been on the edge of recall for leaking and batteries failing many times. Amazon has ever put improvements into Ring. Sad because it started out really great!
I've been debating between Ring and Nest. I like the quality of Nest but the issue I have is that they've discontinued their security line with door/window sensors. That makes me lean towards Ring. Wish the nest platform would allow for adding 3rd party modules to their system. It would be unbeatable at that point in my opinion.
I have used both. Nest isnt the same as it used to be. It used to be stellar before google took over. After buying $1,000 in google nest products. STAY AWAY
By the way, thank you for the important and valuable review of Ring products from Amazon; your review is making me reconsider my decision to buy Ring cameras for my girlfriend's house, and that is a good thing.
I watched a few videos and the ring looked the best. The Nest looked so-so. I ordered the ring now I’m worried lol. We shall see🤞🏾 Thank you so much for giving me another viewpoint
You’re welcome and thanks for watching! Yeah, people can make Ring look great (when they don’t know any better), but Nest IQ was much higher quality with better features…that is, when it was available. Lol….their loss for going months without offering their best camera. I’m sure a lot of people have gone with Ring for that very reason. Here’s hoping you’re one of the few that has no problems with Ring. 🍻
a lot of the ring cams are high quality and well built, and some, especially the indoor wired cams are super flimsy and cheap, but its indoors and i paid $30. The software and integration and ease of use is what sells it, plus at least as far as the doorbells go, if it gets stolen, or smashed as you mentioned by a thirf, they replace it for free. and the recording is still saved in the cloud and app. No matter how well your camera is, idc if its made of stainless steel, if the software is clunky to use, nobody is going to want it.
If you like their stuff & it works for you, that’s great. Whatever gives you peace of mind, is what’s important. But for me personally, since Amazon bought the company, Ring has gone downhill. Their devices are cheaply made (for mass production), their app interface is barbaric and Amazon has zero concern for privacy.
@@GeorgeLangabeer any reccomendations on something that can actually pick up a plate number and has multiple products that can all run seamlessly and easily on one program i can access from my phone? Preferably wireless? Its why i like ring, its well known and advertised and i know it all works together with multiple cams/floodlights/contact sensors and its super easy to get going with little to no trouble shooting. I think that alone is why its so popular. Would be nice if it had the quality to get a plate number though. Ive considered just using a 4k garmin dash cam with constant power and just 3D printing a mount to put it under the awning, for that reason because it can get a plate.
What an interesting perspective. I've never once thought about the plastic and build quality of the smart security devices because I only care about the video quality, software, and cloud perks. I'm curious. It's 2022 now. Does Amazon Ring finally have person detection (or what you called in the video facial recognition)? I'm sad that Google discontinued their smart security line.
@@GeorgeLangabeer I haven't played with "person detection" or "facial recognition" features in modern cameras but to me facial recognition is just a subset of person detection as both uses a neural net to detect. This is why I agree that camera based security systems are so much better than traditional motion sensors which gets false alarms all the time (no matter how well you block out portions of the detection area). If the camera detects a person in any condition or angle, an alert can get triggered and depending on how well the neural net model is trained, it should be near 99% accurate. However, I don't really see the meaningful benefits of facial recognition yet other than it being half a gimmick and half a luxury feature. It's analogous to an iPhone face unlock feature. I'd prefer finger print unlock every time for all the same reasons. You did make me realize one silver lining behind Google discontinuing the Nest Secure unit though and that's basically Google giving up on traditional alarm system but still keeping their "proactive" camera based ecosystem online (hopefully). It's a similar reason to why both Tesla and Toyota are focusing solely on cameras based self driving systems.
I appreciate this video. Before this. I was looking to get rid of all of my Nest products. I’ve been a fan of Nest since the beginning. But since Google took it over it completely did a 180 and started to put out less quality product. In my opinion. There are whole Facebook groups dedicated to helping people figure out their new Google nest products. Most of them recommend keeping the older nest only brand products before Google took over. The biggest reason why I want to get rid of my nest cameras. When you go on the app to view your past video history. The app freezes up all the time. Most of the time when I rewind my video history. It will not start playing the video back to me. It freezes up and stays on a frozen image. I have one gigabyte Internet service from ALO. I am also located in Nebraska. I have one of the best gaming routers on the market. Every single one of my cameras are receiving very good signal. There are also set at a lower quality hoping that that would allow less mess ups. This video I watched of yours like I said was very informative but quite a few of the cons that you mentioned with Amazon ring products. I have noticed the exact same things with the Google nest products. But mostly there app is horrible. I think it these tech business giants would start having to pay people back for lack of service then maybe they may improve their quality. In most cases instead of making the technology work better or just work period. They decide to come up with something totally different that ends up being worse than what they started with before. If you can please do an updated video on any and all Google nest products and the quality or lack there of for 2022. Including the issues with their app if you have had any. Thank you
Nice informative videos. I almost go with Vivint paying probably 100 or more a month for 60 months. I have the old Arlo pro cameras that I self monitored my apt but now I am moving to a house so I want a security system and probably better cameras. What do you recommend? Also in case wifi goes out what systems support celular backup without paying a subscription????also the cameras need to have celular backup.
Next time I cannot sleep, THIS COMMENT will cure my insomnia…promises insight, but just drivels on, like the bore at the bar. In the meantime, I’ll be looking forward to that day you come up from your mom’s basement, start a UA-cam channel & show me how it’s done. I’ll be the first to criticize.
Hi, I’m new to your videos and just happened to stumble across this one, oddly enough, as I unpacking my Ring products. I ordered a Ring bundle, flood camera for the backyard, window sensors, glass break sensors and the Ring doorbell 3. I just bought an end-unit townhouse and there is no fence, the rear of the house faces the community street on the side and a trail/woods on the back. I definitely need coverage not just for the front of the house but the lower/upper deck in the back. I live in MD, our winters are not as harsh as other states. Having second thoughts about the Ring after watching your video. I want a self monitoring security system, preferably not wired (maybe only have a wired flood light/camera in the back of the house). I have an Apple phone and I like Apple products. There are so many options out there and it gets overwhelming quickly. I almost went with ADT initially but it was going to cost me $1600 worth in products and $70 for monthly monitoring. What do you recommend, that’s close in price with Ring, but it’s a better option? Thanks for your help!
For what you’re talking about & being an Apple fan, check out the Eve Floodlight Camera & Eve Sensors. Or check out the Aqara sensors. Then for a doorbell, the Logitech Circle View or WeMo Doorbell.
Great was give a ring doorbell. It is wireless, since I could not do hotwired. My son hooked it up it was a gift because I did not have the money or income , so he installed it. I've had no problem and it seems to work ok so far. I do have an Alexa show 5 I was given and I love it because I do not have to scroll to my app. So what would you suggest I use for my back porch and yard. I do have a regular wired light on the back porch. I do not have iphone , I own an android. So what would be some good inexpensive camera and alarm to use for my back yard.
I currently have Ring. Had the service now for about six or seven years. On my plan we operate seven cameras. We have cameras that have completely failed or beginning to fail. I have been dissatisfied with Ring. I am looking into other options besides Ring. I can not tell you how many times I thought I had footage only to discover I did not. Once I bought new leather furniture. The delivery guys had no clue how to move furniture. They destroyed our new couch attempting to come through the front door. I just sat back knowing I had this activity on camera. I was wrong! Ring caught them walking towards the door, then setting it down in my living room. Totally missing them man-handling the doorway. If a package is delivered. I get notified once they are driving away. Ring states it's my internet service. I have had my service upgraded to the most expensive service with the same results. I can go on and on. Done with Ring!
Thanks for the comment. These are the exact kind of stories I’m talking about. Sorry to hear you’re having such a rough time of it though. Those situations are exactly when you need your cameras to work. Very frustrating I’m sure.
If you’re looking for a complete system, outdoor cameras & doorbell, there’s really only one option unfortunately. That’s the Logitech CircleView Camera & Doorbell. If you’re just looking for inside surveillance, that’s a different story. More options there.
I have a Ring Doorbell 2. It's done pretty good for the three and a half years I've had it. The "Processing Video" after an alert is a little frustrating. I'm redoing my security system and would like to know what doorbell camera you are recommending.
That’s great that it’s worked for you, you’re one of the lucky ones. Lol My Go-To doorbell has always been the Nest Hello & now the Nest Doorbell battery. But after having some cold weather issues (video on that forthcoming) with the latter, I’m using the Logitech Circle View. But it depends on if you’re an Apple or Droid person? I’m holding out for the new Belkin Doorbell (which I will be testing very soon) and the new Eufy Dual (which I’ll also be testing). We’ll see if those two give the rest a run for their money.
@@GeorgeLangabeer Thanks for the quick reply. I'm looking forward to your reviews. I'll hold off upgrading my Ring until you do these reviews. I really like your channel and thoughts on cameras vs security system.
Great Video! I totally agree with you especially with the fact that Amazon has great ideas/innovations for years they were my first choice and I would always recommend them, unfortunately I don’t see the same Quality in their products as before and it rather disappointing!!
Hi! I have Nest first and second generation cameras. I am deeply disastified with the second generation cameras from Google. I'm considering buying the newest Ring floodlight camera for my girlfriend as their online video capture service is quite less expensive than Google's. Your video dates from two years now and I am wondering if Ring has upgraded their quality in their floodlight camera. If you are still monitering this video, what is your opinion on the quality of the product at the moment? Thank you for your attention.
Hello! Thanks for watching! As much as I want to love Ring, sadly my opinion has not changed. All of their cameras are great in concept, but still a huge letdown in quality & execution. Cheaply made with too many issues.
@@GeorgeLangabeer Thank you for your prompt answer! I think that tough there are many issues with the Nest cameras, I will recommend to my girlfriend that she buy the Nest Cam with floodlight. Myself I have five Nest cameras. From Canada, thank you.
@@GeorgeLangabeer Yes, I will advise my girlfriend to buy Nest as the plastic made Ring cameras are surely less to endure in the freezing rain and ice in the winters here, and the occasional scorch of the sunshine in the summer.
What you say it makes no sense because any cameras can be vandalized. I have ring and I love it. If you are saying there are better cameras then mention them. I have lorex also for my secondary back up system they are also amazing, but do you want to pay someone to run cable Through your attic that cost a lot, Ring is design for somebody that wants to do it themselves that’s what you paying for and the Ecosystem of Ring works with everything point blank!
Actually, what I say makes complete sense. There are several cameras that are vandal proof. We sell cameras that you could hit with a bat & they would break the bat. So you’re apparently looking at the wrong cameras. Lorex is definitely one of those brands. Lorex is great for entry level installs, but in certain climates, you’ll be replacing those cameras in two years. Lorex is very cheaply made…which leads me to Ring. Ring is 100% designed to DIY, but you get what you pay for. Ring products are also very cheaply made & their products have a high fail rate (proven fact). So that’s great that you love them so much & they work great for you. But as a person that used to install them everyday, but had to stop because of the quality of their products, I respectfully disagree with your statements. As a small business owner I have to sell what works. Ring fails constantly & I can’t afford that kind of reputation damaging quality.
Ring socks there’s zero customers support after the sale. I’m sorry but Amazon ruined it completely with their lack of customer support and the original vision of ring. I think SimpliSafe has the edge because they still have genuine technical and customer support and they still take care of their customer in my experience. I will never purchase anything else from Ring/Amazon
My cat went missing and I have to move. I do have 30 days here officially due to needing to put in 30 day notice. Would the Ring be able to notify me if he shows up at the door and I can drive the 20 min and come get him? Is the ring something that would be good for that would it notify me when I am not nearby on my phone?
I purchased the Eufy 1080 mp wired doorbell/vid camera. (I thought I was buying the 2k....apparently I wasn’t paying attention..!) I’m curious if this product will work with the already connected chime(s) when wired to the doorbell?
My friend was murdered on the 13th and the Ring video shows a lot from that night...but I don't know if it's just motion or sound activated....but the video comes on, but it's all in clips....like it starts recording a video at say 11:09 AM and shows the date, the Time in minute's and seconds...but one video may be only 20 seconds long then it's over then a video starts say 3 minutes later and it may last 30 seconds....there's no just consistent video that just plays of an entire event....maybe it's because he has the ring door camera and a ring camera covering his driveway and front gate and when it detects the other camera it automatically switches...IDK....I just know he added me onto his system so I could help watch his house when he was sleeping or at work.....also when I watch the videos on the Ring App he had me download and watch the videos the date is clearly there on the left of the video and the exact time in AM or PM to the hour, minute and second ..but when I download these so I can present them to the police detectives....the downloaded version no longer has the date or the time....just a countdown of how long the video clip is in seconds.....say like 28 , 34, 18, seconds and just the little line going across near the bottom of the video, so I can slide it forward it back, to different times in those video clips.....do you have any Idea why it does this....and I do not have access to the main wifi Ring device in the house....it may have been stolen by these people or the wife stopped somehow when his phone was taken from his house by his wife when the left there on the 14th, the day after he was murdered....him and his wife were no longer together but since he was no longer alive, I'm sure she probably took his phone, because all video stops on the 14th of January when I met her at the house to try and see what may appear to be stolen, out of place or just not right, ....so when I looked on the App later on, the same day of the 14th...it says both his door camera and outdoor camera are off line.....I know this is a strange story like off of one of those I.D. TV shows but I'm trying to piece everything together to try and figure out if it was someone he knew or someone hired etc to have him killed.....and I'm just not that familiar with how the Ring systems work and why my Downloads have no date or time stamp....but on the Ring App when I watch them, they have the date and time....any advice you could give me would really help?....I knew him since Highschool..so for 30 plus years he was a great friend.and now he's gone...for good.....I can even tell about what time it happened and people that were there and the times on the app, but not on the downloaded videos I want to give to the police.
Finally is the key word! I can’t believe they’ve waited this long to release their new camera! But I’d still say good call. I’m sure they will be worth the wait.
All of the HomeKit Secure cameras are all very similar in function, but of the bunch, I find The Logitech Circle View to be the highest quality (build wise). If you just want a basic HomeKit camera (but not necessarily HomeKit Secure Video), the Eufy Pan/Tilt is a great little camera for the money,
There are actually several that will withstand a hit, but Ring is definitely not one of them. Just cheap plastic crap with a really good marketing team.
I just received a Ring Doorbell Camera as an early Christmas gift. I hope it is better than what you say. I haven’t installed it yet, but looking at it out of the box, it seems to be pretty sturdy. The outside seems to be made of some kind of metal at least. Fairly weighty too. That being said though, who knows how it will perform. I guess we’ll see. I came across this video doing research on it. Thanks for your input. P.S. if this is a more recent version, do you have an opinion on the newer models?
I totally agree that ring products are cheap. I use the entire spectrum of ring products at 3 different houses and I have had issues with most of their products since the first week of installation. I have had people break into my car feet way from one of my ring cameras and it didn't record the event. Not the best products.
I agree. The product ideas are amazing. Performance and quality lack on some of the devices. I hope one day they will create more advanced products. I truly do want you have a good experience with Ring but struggle daily to see positive results. @@GeorgeLangabeer
Thank you for your video you seem like such a great guy. I wish you were in Los Angeles so I could use your company. One question do any of these services have a backup Wi-Fi like you said if the burglar comes in and unplugs my Wi-Fi can I for example have it connect to my neighbors Wi-Fi as a secondary as long as I have their login info obviously etc. I'm asking for ring myself even though I know you're not a fan but if others have it maybe that's a big game changer because that's truly my biggest concern thanks again!
Thank you. Very kind of you to say. The only Wi-Fi camera that will work without Wi-Fi (only for a hour though) is the indoor/outdoor Nest Cam Battery.
… so what’s the best DIY home alarm system with outdoor cameras? Why should we trust you vs consumers who actually purchase these products and rate them and leave reviews? For example you mentioned Arlo cameras are great but they rate lower than Ring cameras per consumers. 😮
There is no good DIY system with outdoor cameras. You’d have to mix n match & it depends on if you’re an Apple person or droid person. As far as your other question, watch some of my other videos. I answer that question in great detail. I’ve been selling & installing this stuff for 20 years. I’ve been catching criminals with cameras for over 20 years. We have over 4000 customers & not only have I tried & tested this stuff myself, but I’ve also had over 4000 people try & test it for me (all your “average consumers”). I constantly get (or ask for) their feedback all the time. I’m a security guy, not a salesman. I’ve been in the trenches with this stuff. Im not just some dude trying to sell you a product. As a loss prevention manager (my former job) I used surveillance equipment to detain & prosecute over 1000 criminals & the crew that worked for me, we were over 3000 criminals (all using cameras)….good enough answer? Lol
I was looking into Ring but started having second thoughts. Glad I found this video. I have a Nest doorbell but Nest Guard is no longer an option of course. I am considering Abode now, seems to be the most 3rd party friendly of the bunch as I have an assortment of smart home products. No security cameras are setup yet but from what I read there are some decent 3rd party cameras for that system as well. Anyone ever try Abode or have any thoughts? I will check out the Logitech which I see mentioned several times here in the comments. Thanks,
Abode is a great security system, especially if you’re a HomeKit fan. But as far as their cameras go, not so much. If you’re talking Logitech, are you a HomeKit fan or what ecosystem are you in?
@@GeorgeLangabeer Thanks for the quick reply. I have Ecobee thermostats, about 5 Google smart hubs, 1 Amazon Alexa voice device and the Nest/Yale smart lock. I would say I am primarily Google based, but with the randomness they discontinue products I am considering moving to be Homekit based. Google Home has been more 3rd party friendly compared to Amazon, but maybe I should just consolidate to a single platform. We are cancelling our current ADT system (non smart) due to the price. I have not added cameras yet beside the doorbell so maybe I need to research those more before I make a decision.
Yeah, I’d recommend getting out of the old Nest stuff. It will never make it to the Google Home App like you’ll want it to. If you’re Google, you might want to look at either upgrading to the new Nest stuff or checking out Eufy.
I have a shady neighbor , i'm retired on fixed income I just need something to be able to monitor the neighbor when I leave my home . That is good price , easy to install .
The problem i have with Ring is with my Hikvision camera setup i can have a two way conversation through my camera already so theres no point in me getting one really
I hear you. But the front door is where two way audio is the most useful. So video doorbells can be great even if you have other camera…but not Ring. Lol
You’re one of the lucky ones. Might be because you live in Texas. I’m guessing the weather is decent year round. Bad weather is when they suffer the most.
I've got a question for you that maybe you can answer... I'll tell you right now the Internet avoids my question like the plague! Can I have a camera that's not on the Internet hardwired to a monitor by the door that will automatically pop on when there is motion so that I can see who is at the door?
I have the whole ring system. My floodlight camera cannot get a good enough image to identify people walking on the street or show the car tag numbers/letters. It's frustrating.
I connected the transformer V12, but the connected machine can’t work. You must install the battery to turn on the surveillance video. I use a multimeter to measure the wire and it’s also V12. What’s the problem? Thanks
I bought a Ring pro 2 wired camera. I also had to buy a new chime because the existing chime was not compatible with the Ring. Two days after I installed them, the Ring was DEAD! After a long phone call with their support staff, they shipped me a replacement. The new Ring worked for about 4 months before it went off line (no WiFi connection). Tried resetting the Ring as per instructions but no luck. Terribly unreliable product.
Something interesting about the ring doorbell almost everyone has seen it so just having it at your door is like a sign saying there's alarm system on the house weather the battery in it is charged up or not it just says that you are on camera we've had no issues with ours I'm eager to get more cameras
Bro bro bro I should say security testing advisor Sir You are no doubt the best thing that has happened to (security of} the internet since nobody else so my goodness you have put it in the nutshell with no holds bard that word was spelled wrong but it's actually very apropos appreciated greatly but I'm out and the knowledge of what is happening with these companies and where they're coming from
Thank you so much for your feedback on Ring and how it compares to their competitors. I have been wanting a doorbell video camera and glad to have this information so I can move on to consider others! You make great videos. Thank you for sharing! Now if you could just extend your services beyond 150 miles from Omaha!! LOL :)
hmm, I wonder if those other more sturdy doorbell cameras have an app like the ring app? If they do, and being smaller companies, I suspect their app would be very basic and disappointing.
Thanks for this video and the others especially your thoughts about how alarm monitoring companies are a waste. I had come to the same conclusion and I'm going to drop mine once I get my home security set up. My first step is outdoor cameras. Then get the indoor contacts, motion, and alarm pad, etc. I have a wired Ring cam sitting in an unopened Amazon box. It arrived yesterday. The electrician is coming next week to add an outlook above the garage so I can use it. Then I watched some review videos and am leaning towards the battery powered Eufy cameras because of local storage (no monthly fees), and less costly for the cameras themselves, which will allow me to add a second one in the back yard. What's your opinion of the Eufy outdoor cameras?
You’re welcome and thanks for watching! Sounds like you’ve got a great plan. I think Eufy makes some great cameras, especially for the money. I’m a fan of their newer outdoor camera and the local storage option with Eufy is a huge bonus. If you’ve watched some of my other videos, I’m not a huge fan of Ring.
Hello. I work with a competitor and we are one of the top nationwide providers. Something I have been running into is clients whom think that The ring is actual security. Now I’ve done a bit of research on the ring and it seems like it’s 50/50 security wise with the ring. Now I want to actually help people secure their homes appropriately and not have to deal with hackable /cheap products like the ring. But how can I steer people towards actually getting security vs the ring?
I have seen so many video's talking about Ring and just the quality of images you get from the camera's. One guy I work with that is what he has and loves them but I want the facial recognition to be able to see the crooks and to have them caught. If you can not see it clearly the cops will not be able to catch the person.
You are absolutely right. If you want the best resolution & footage that cops say, “wow, that’s the best footage I’ve ever seen”, you need to go with a wired system. Check out that video I just posted.
I’m really not a fan of Ring no matter what item it is. I’m also not a big fan of security systems. Here’s one of my videos on the topic: ua-cam.com/video/ZaDryoOH1ww/v-deo.html
At the time I made this video, my recommended options would have been Eufy or Nest. But now I can no longer put my stamp on those either. So I really don’t have an outdoor wi-fi camera that I’d suggest at the moment (which is unfortunate). Because of that, at SilverHammer, we’re only selling Alibi.
Thanks, I used to have Wyze but the monthly payments for facial recognition was too high and I had to constantly remove them to charge them. I just bought a 2nd generation Ring and come to find put you have to take it off and charge it too. I have Google home devices now. Erich doorbell camera should I get?
Hi George! I have been watching a few of your great videos. I love the Google Nest Cams reviews for video surveillance. I will be out of country for few weeks, and need professional 24/7 monitoring. Both EUFY & Google do not qualify :( Who would you recommend.
Hello! Thanks for watching! If you’re talking 24/7 monitoring like a burglar alarm, I’d go with Simplisafe. Easy and quick to install and reasonable monitoring fees.
Above the front door is a limiting shot. So if you’re going to do it, go dome. As silly as it sounds, a dome gets you a little more angle since they are typically a tad bit more recessed than a bullet camera.
Oh honey I think you can take a hammer and bust down ANY camera...stop please LMAFO ...if someone wants to bust a camera and get in your house they're gonna do it
First, I didn’t know we knew each other well enough to call me “honey”. Second, There’s no doubt that if a thief wants in they are going to get in, but that doesn’t mean you just make it easier by buying cheap junk. Third, You’re entitled to your opinion, but there are plenty of cameras out there that will survive a hammer blast no problem. I install them everyday.
This video is from Alibi Security & Alibi is the brand I install everyday. Keep in mind this video was 6 YEARS AGO and their cameras are even MORE durable today. Watch this: ua-cam.com/video/mYjHU-3-488/v-deo.html
@@GeorgeLangabeer I agree. Just because we know someone "can" destroy or have the potential to destroy surveillance equipment doesn't mean we shouldn't have it there. Do we just then let people do wrong, and commit crimes just because "we know they can?" Or do we try to help prevent them? I worked retail for many years, and I've learned that the best deterrent was simply a presence, or felt presence of surveillance, by a person or a camera. People intending to do wrong do not want it to be made difficult for them, or for them to be found out. Speaking to a would be criminal prior to the act, or letting them know they are being watched does help in 98% of incidents! Thanks for the videos and information Mr. Silverhammer!
Depends on what you're trying to accomplish. If you want just a security system, I'd say Simplisafe is better. If you want cameras and a security system, Ring is better. I'm obviously not a fan of Ring, but their cameras are better than Simplisafe. If I were you, I'd check out the brand Eufy. They have an alarm system and their cameras are MUCH BETTER than Simplisafe or Ring.
So most but not all, highly intelligent people invent products for you to evaluate. I guess someone has to keep an eye on the checks and balances. In order do this it takes years of training and experience. So keep up the good work, without trouble with the small things like putting you ass on the line for her or his invention that took hundreds of hours of work and hoping they do not get sued for somebody criticizing one or two small problems. But its all good as long as we have someone with decades of experience to make sure its a good, safe, reliable and cost effective for the four billion people on this rock we are floating around on. No hate just giving my opinion of how it works on the internet.
Yeah, i wasn’t timing myself. I was just trying to be fair & not make it all about trashing them. I know I don’t like videos that are completely negative. I guess you would have rather me start with the cons (& that’s fair).
I think hearing a salesperson tell you both pros and cons BEFORE you buy is unusual. Nice to see someone not just out for the money but whose more concerned with the quality of their products and the satisfaction of their customers. You’re a breath of fresh air!
Why are the cameras plastic? Why aren't they made out of a stronger material like steel? they should have a case they can go in or maybe have something that's surrounds it 🤷🏻♂️ but having it made out of steel seems like the best fix
Because it would be too expensive & nobody would buy it. That’s why you want a high quality wired system over any type of wifi camera. Our wired cameras systems are completely vandalproof.
I agree… Ring works exceptionally well and I have it installed on multiple properties.
Man, that sucks. The wired brand we use is Alibi.
You’re very welcome. Happy to help. Thanks for watching!
-Smart locks to pair with
- Great Doorbell cam with facial recognition(not notified for bushes blowing, etc)
-Great indoor security system nothing too crazy maybe a cam or 2 but that can all sync to the same app and system.
Appreciate your hard and honest work. And congrats on your battle may God continue blessing you
Thank you, found your original reply @SilverHammerSurveillance!

Glad i found this vid. Was thinking about a Ring.......but really knew nothing about the platform. You have changed my mind, and now I am seeking something better !
I’m so happy this helped. Thanks for watching!
Thought about buying ring for my indoor apartment not no more thanks for the pros & cons . Is there a camera you can recommend. What do you think of Vistafocus or blink really need an indoor camera & device to watch my elderly parents, dogs, etc
@4realgirl I’d look at Eufy.
I have a massive camera job that will be my first large sell on my own. This video is literally the power of UA-cam. I can't thank you enough for your comprehensive explanation. Now I'm off to see what content you have on best cameras in your opinion.
That’s awesome! Good luck! Happy to help.
Weather is definitely part of it & weather consideration is a big deal here.
Thanks for not playing a sound track while your talking. Drives me crazy when they do. I just click off.
You’re welcome. 😬
Thank you hate sound tracks too you tubers aren't warner brothers 😅
I agree lanceriffle
I agree! A more serious presentation.
Works fine.
Sorry you had such a rough go of it with Ring. So many stories like yours and that’s exactly why I can’t put my stamp on their products.
Hi ! I work with cloud services often so I’d like to give a few thoughts :)
It is indeed crucial to address these concerns, as privacy and quality are essential factors when it comes to security devices.
Well said. I 100% agree with everything you’re saying here.
Yep. Because unfortunately it’s just cheap crap. Wish it wasn’t.
Old technology with new, we removed the chime and used our Alexas as the chime
as a security engineer myself we tend to replace ring products due to criminals jamming their products as ring isnt as secure as people think and the build quality feel cheap ,we use hikvision and dahua cctv and doorbells due to being reliable and build quality is bomb proof
Hikvision & Dahua both make good stuff, but since neither are NDAA compliant, it’s hard for me to still use anything from them.
have to agree on the Ring cons.
All sad, but true.
I 100% agree with everything you’re saying about Nest. But I still wouldn’t touch Ring. Lol
I have used both. Nest isnt the same as it used to be. It used to be stellar before google took over. After buying $1,000 in google nest products. STAY AWAY
Still much better than Ring.
@@GeorgeLangabeer Is it the face recognition? What's the biggest con over google?
The face recognition & quality. Ring made me look bad on way too many occasions.
By the way, thank you for the important and valuable review of Ring products from Amazon; your review is making me reconsider my decision to buy Ring cameras for my girlfriend's house, and that is a good thing.
You’re very welcome & I appreciate your input.
So Overall what should I suggest for a Non-monthly bill security system for my Grand-mother 💯 And Who can install it with Reputable Installer
Are you talking burglar alarm or cameras? Indoor or outdoor?
I have both! Nest is quality! Theres things i like on both of them! Wish nest had the siren and neighborhood alerts!
a lot of the ring cams are high quality and well built, and some, especially the indoor wired cams are super flimsy and cheap, but its indoors and i paid $30.

My ring died completely during winter... I'm in MA... once winter set in and temps really dropped it was done.
There you go…unfortunately a very common occurrence.
Ring has “person detection”, but not facial recognition. Nest/Google does have a new line of cameras (which have facial recognition).
Thank you
I’ve already done several videos on all the new Nest Cams and The Google Home App (which I like just fine btw).
@@GeorgeLangabeer ok I’ll check them out. Thanks
I’ve been using the Nest app. The Google home app better? Even with the original nest style cams?
No, the Nest App is better for the original cameras.
@@GeorgeLangabeer ok good to know. Thanks
Hey, what alarm service do you use & recommend that has cellular backup (best price)? I'm looking for one now!!!
next time i cannot sleep, this video will cure my insomnia... promises insight, but just drivels on, like the bore at the bar.
@@GeorgeLangabeer Perfect! Will do. Thanks so much! 🙏🏻
You’re welcome!
Needs some good inexpensive suggestions for security then. With lighting, camera and or alarm .
Thanks for the information! Appreciate your experience and input!
I’m glad you’re finding the videos helpful! Thanks for watching!
Wowww
Stories like this put me off wireless security products.
What is a quality, yet affordable camera system compatible with apple iphones?
If you’re looking for a complete system, outdoor cameras & doorbell, there’s really only one option unfortunately. That’s the Logitech CircleView Camera & Doorbell. If you’re just looking for inside surveillance, that’s a different story. More options there.
I have a Ring Doorbell 2. It's done pretty good for the three and a half years I've had it. The "Processing Video" after an alert is a little frustrating. I'm redoing my security system and would like to know what doorbell camera you are recommending.
That’s great that it’s worked for you, you’re one of the lucky ones. Lol
My Go-To doorbell has always been the Nest Hello & now the Nest Doorbell battery.
Awesome. Glad to hear it. Thanks for watching!
I have this doorbell too and wonder what's causing my battery to drain so quickly? I've checked motion settings etc?
Which one? The Ring 2?
Great Video! I totally agree with you especially with the fact that Amazon has great ideas/innovations for years they were my first choice and I would always recommend them, unfortunately I don’t see the same Quality in their products as before and it rather disappointing!!
Thank you! Yeah, the quality decline is disappointing and I just read some more about some new privacy concerns. That’s also disappointing.
I would say if all the available options, Nest still has the best Floodlight Camera.
So what's a better choice ? For home security
Depends on many factors, but my favorite is a wired NVR camera system. Much more reliable than a Wi-Fi option.
Agreed
My cat went missing and I have to move. I do have 30 days here officially due to needing to put in 30 day notice. Would the Ring be able to notify me if he shows up at the door and I can drive the 20 min and come get him? Is the ring something that would be good for that would it notify me when I am not nearby on my phone?
Ring doesn’t have very good animal detection.
@@GeorgeLangabeer what would you recommend to detect if my kitty shows up?
Are you an Apple or Droid user?
I purchased the Eufy 1080 mp wired doorbell/vid camera. (I thought I was buying the 2k....apparently I wasn’t paying attention..!) I’m curious if this product will work with the already connected chime(s) when wired to the doorbell?
It DOES NOT work with your existing chime. It actually bypasses it. But it comes with its own chime.
@@GeorgeLangabeer got it up and running! Woot! Step one completed. Now moving on to the video cameras!
Nice! Peace of mind, here you come!
What do you recommend then, I need one camera for the backyard, one for the front yard and doorbell with camera audio.
Nest or Eufy.
@@GeorgeLangabeer I will look into both thank you sir
Thank you for this, was about to buy all ring home security, but then found Nest. Just waiting for the new IQ to finally come out!
Finally is the key word! I can’t believe they’ve waited this long to release their new camera! But I’d still say good call. I’m sure they will be worth the wait.
What cookie cutter HomeKit system would you suggest for a 2,500 sq ft home? Simply safe plus a good camera setup?
All of the HomeKit Secure cameras are all very similar in function, but of the bunch, I find The Logitech Circle View to be the highest quality (build wise). If you just want a basic HomeKit camera (but not necessarily HomeKit Secure Video), the Eufy Pan/Tilt is a great little camera for the money,
I really enjoyed your talk. It was fun!
So glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
There aren’t very many of these consumer cameras that would survive someone hitting them. Can’t blame Ring for that.
There are actually several that will withstand a hit, but Ring is definitely not one of them. Just cheap plastic crap with a really good marketing team.
Amen. People are idiots thinking any camera is indestructible...all can be destroyed...ALLL
I’m not a fan of the newer models either. Not only for quality, but more importantly privacy.
I totally agree that ring products are cheap. I use the entire spectrum of ring products at 3 different houses and I have had issues with most of their products since the first week of installation. I have had people break into my car feet way from one of my ring cameras and it didn't record the event. Not the best products.
That sucks, sorry to hear that. It’s a real shame too. Amazon obviously has the resources to make Ring better. I wish they would.

Lol. Exactly.
on my inside ring camera I plug it into a smart plug and turn it off when I'm home for privacy
Lol
What about for automotive shops? which camera would you suggest.
For automotive shops we usually do a wired NVR system.
Which doorbell do you have?
@@GeorgeLangabeer Oh right, forgot that. I have the Nest Hello (wired). It is a few years old now, not sure how long these last usually.

That’s a common problem with many floodlight cameras. It’s the nature of the lens.
I connected the transformer V12, but the connected machine can’t work. You must install the battery to turn on the surveillance video. I use a multimeter to measure the wire and it’s also V12. What’s the problem? Thanks
Ring Video Doorbell 3
Not sure. I’d have to see the entire setup
Exactly what I was talking about in this video. So sorry, you’re having the same horrible experience.
Something interesting about the ring doorbell almost everyone has seen it so just having it at your door is like a sign saying there's alarm system on the house weather the battery in it is charged up or not it just says that you are on camera we've had no issues with ours I'm eager to get more cameras
Yes, cameras can be a very strong deterrent without ever being used.
Bro bro bro I should say security testing advisor Sir
You are no doubt the best thing that has happened to (security of} the internet since nobody else so my goodness you have put it in the nutshell with no holds bard that word was spelled wrong but it's actually very apropos appreciated greatly but I'm out and the knowledge of what is happening with these companies and where they're coming from
lol. Thanks! Glad we agree. 😊
Can the ring camera be used for live view? If so is there a delay and how much of a delay is there?
Yes, it can be used for live view & there are several factors as far as delay goes. So I couldn’t tell you exactly.
Thank you so much for your feedback on Ring and how it compares to their competitors. I have been wanting a doorbell video camera and glad to have this information so I can move on to consider others! You make great videos. Thank you for sharing! Now if you could just extend your services beyond 150 miles from Omaha!! LOL :)
You’re very welcome & thanks for that comment (& thanks for watching!). Happy to help. As far as extending our services, I’m working on it. Lol 😊
The wireless peephole is the only reason I have a ring camera. Because I live in an apartment.
Yeah, it’s a good solution for an apartment. But there are plenty of battery powered video doorbells that are better for apartment doors.
Do you like apple security camera system better then nest.
I’d still give Nest the slight edge. Especially if you have them powered, because then you gain 24/7 recording.
hmm, I wonder if those other more sturdy doorbell cameras have an app like the ring app? If they do, and being smaller companies, I suspect their app would be very basic and disappointing.
Several other doorbell camera brands have apps that blow away the Ring App. They are also 100% more pro-privacy than the Ring App.

@@GeorgeLangabeer cool il be watching. Thanks
Start a UA-cam Channel. Lol
Hi I just got ring door cam , it connects to WIFI , may I know if the WIFI is down can the camera connect to cellular data, please please help
Unfortunately not. It’s WiFi only.
What are your thoughts on Ring's home security diy kit

i agree with your logic. Put what are those other options that are less money or just a little more. Are you s[peaking solely about Alibi products.
You’re welcome!
@@GeorgeLangabeer Thank you!

Is SimpliSafe better than Ring
In my opinion it is.
Above front door, would you say dome or bullet?
Above the front door is a limiting shot. So if you’re going to do it, go dome. As silly as it sounds, a dome gets you a little more angle since they are typically a tad bit more recessed than a bullet camera.
Great video 👍 ❤️
Thank you & thanks for watching!
Thank You!
You’re welcome!

Exactly!
good video
Thanks!
Fair review I dislike I can't get ring working with Google home?
Ring is an Amazon product. Amazon & Google don’t get along.
I was looking to figure if a simplisafe is better than ring.
Ring doorbell camera was quickly covered over by the ATF by a piece of tape, which may have contributed to Brian Malinowski's death.
Lol….what?
QUESTION: Are you a small business guy? 😂
Uh oh, we have a comedian in the house….
Good video but a little repetitive. But I can appreciate the realness. I want a good apartment set up. 😩
Well, not to REPEAT myself….don’t use Ring.
Great video. This is a year old. What would you recommend today?
For Wifi cameras I’d recommend Google Nest or if you’re a Apple person, anything that is HomeKit Secure Video compatible.
Good video, but it took you 9 minutes to get to why you don't talk about Ring....
Yeah, i wasn’t timing myself. I was just trying to be fair & not make it all about trashing them. I know I don’t like videos that are completely negative. I guess you would have rather me start with the cons (& that’s fair).
Just some constructive criticism, otherwise I've found your videos very informative, thanks.
Our wired cameras systems are completely vandalproof.
the ring camera is 10 feet in the air who's going to walk up and crush it? my ring never failed or broke but I get it.
did you go to Skidmore College????
Nope. Sure didn’t.
Solution alternatives?.....
Nest, Eufy, Tapo, Reolink…
