Awesome picking of a really nice lock! Those are some crazy cool pins that look like they would be very difficult to pick but you did a great job getting an open. I agree that varying tension is an absolute must know to open locks that are more difficult. I'm always working on my tensioning skills and trying to improve them and thanks to good teachers like you and several others my skills are improving. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! Getting the feel for the pins and getting the open was a fun puzzle to solve with this one! The pins def' felt different and more difficult as their appearance suggests. The key pins in 5 and 4 were the biggest challenge. I overset them consistently as I was figuring the lock out. I'm happy to hear you're focusing on tensioning skills; tensioning is (in my opinion) more important than the picking technique.

Pugs-thanks for the shout out! Those kind words mean a lot to me.
Great advice on varying the tension. Truth be told, that's a much harder skill (in my experience) when picking in hand instead of the vice! I keep wondering if more time working at a vice might up my picking skills a bit..

It is def' different picking in hand vs in vise. I actually prefer picking in hand as I feel like I get more feedback, but it does make tensioning a different beast.
And the shoutout is well-deserved. I hope you gain a few more subs from it!

Nice picking and some beautiful pins. Normally people modify the existing pins in a dremel. It’s a fun side of the sport and I love CLs. The harder ones improve your picking.
Forgot which ones I sent you but will be interesting to see how you get on with those. 🎄✌🏻🌶

Hey! I've been taking it easy on picking due to an arthritis flare up, but I'm starting to dive back in. Expect to see some of the locks you sent feature in videos soon!

I'd be happy to trade! Currently I have this one and another that's on loan from Lady Locks that I have to send back to her after I record a video. I might have a few more in a care package from PickSmith that I haven't opened yet. Shoot me an email: pugspickslocks at gmail dot com.
