is there a way to use a sort of dialogue box to edit your text, I'm used to the photoshop/premier way of editing text as in if you a phrase you can stack the words but pulling in the dialogue box but i can't seem to find anything similar on da vinci and would rather not import my text and have to chop it up in their text box for the same effect.
Agree! How unfortunate that you can't do that. In Premiere Pro it is so incredibly easy. Premiere Pro also has paragraph text and the entire text tools are much better than Resolve. This is one area in Resolve that is still weak and I hope they improve it and give us paragraph text as well so you can actually type a paragraph like you can in Premiere and it just wraps around.
@@asafblasbergvideographer have you tried caput as well? Is premier pro faster to edit captions with? Might be worth for me to invest in premiere just for caption And does it have text animation presets like capcut? Or you have to install it?
The default font in DaVinci Resolve 19.5 is "Open Sans", is there a way to change the default to another font?

Can you do partial bolding via the text+ quickly now without going to fusion?
In normal text it works, but not yet in text+ as of DR18.
