Watched Alex's, watched Casey's, now watched yours. I dont know if you coordinated at all, but well done for somehow all basically covering different features! Amazing videos and amazing release of DR. I can't wait to start using it!
Was thinking the same thing. Certainly seems like they are coordinating, which is very smart and awesome for us as we don't really need to see 90% of the same content multiple times. lol
I'm an audio engineer and I've been able to do most of this with 3rd party plugins but I'm extremely excited that these are just going to be fully integrated in the native effects and ducking functions are now going to be available even for no audio specialists. I'm really hoping the audio quality of most creators are going to noticeably increase and without too much friction. DaVinci is amazing.
Yeah this is amazing. That audio tracking feature seems pretty neat and would be interesting to see if plugin manufacturers can make something similar for DAWs.
Welp. I have to get the Studio version now. I make let's Play videos, and I've been getting copyright claims on background music that happens during certain story moments in one particular game. Since there's in-game dialogue, and this is an older game that doesn't have separate sliders for music and voice volume, I've just had to let those videos stay unmonetized. This will probably fix that.
VST sidechaining is another major audio feature they added in v19. I made this request on the forum a while back and they've added it now. I think im going to wait on the beta until more stability reports cone in, but I'd like to see someone demo this. 😎
@@PatrickStirling I'm not sure how they implemented it, I only saw it listed on the forum as one of the new features. "Ability to sidechain VST3 and AU audio effects." So instead of being limited to only Resolve's dynamics effect for sidechaining, in theory, this should also allow using other third party VST effects like compressors, dynamic EQ's, spectral processors, etc. for sidechaining as well. I'd love to see how they implemented it but I'm still unsure about jumping immediately on the beta version. If I don't see a lot of new serious bugs popping up on the forum, I'll definitely give it a run.
@@WarMomPT Haven't seen if they're using someone's algorithm or if they wrote their own. I've been using iZotope. Great when it first came out but they need to update it. Getting a little long in the tooth and other companies are passing them by in the last year or so. Can't remember who, but I saw a vid on Demucs. Looked pretty clean.
Very good, all things are great in this new version. I hope that finally in the new updates comes the Music Remix (the thing to change the duration of a song in Adobe Audition, Premiere and Filmora), so I can get rid of adobe once and for all.
This "Remixer" is nice...it really is BUT, this STILL doesn't allow you to extend or shorten audio to match your video a'la Filmora and Premiere Pro. Guess I'll have to wait for the NEXT update??? 😔
Just cut or copy/paste the sections of the music to fit your needs, don’t need AI for that :) Removing vocals or bass from a song is way harder, which is probably why BMD focused on such a feature rather than a «detect 4 bars of music and loop it»-feature ;)
@@AndreSjoberg There are tons of free stem separators, "Stemroller" being on of the best so there's that. Music Remix takes a click of a button and the transitions are seamless...you can NEVER tell where one portion ends and the next begins. Doing that manually is much harder...and I have a DJ background and it still takes longer UNLESS you use a dedicated DAW like FL Studio, Serato DJ, or something like that.
@@majorediting8164 Why are you talking about 2 different things? stems are the separation of drums, vocals, etc into separate tracks, the remixer feature extends/shortens a song. if all one wants to do is make a song slightly shorter/longer slicing it and duplicating is pretty quick, not *as* quick, but pretty quick, and that type of feature *will* come at some point to davinci, but I understand them not focusing on it - and they just added a «stem» feature / isolater in davinci to separate bass/drums/vocals/ikstruments. And yeah, I’m also a dj/remixer, grew up using cubase on the atari and akai samplers, and even making music on the c64 programming the songs, and sony music, and now ableton, but why start a pissing contest? Davinci 19 has separator feature, extending/shortening songs is easily done by hand, and much easier than trying to phase tracks and separate out vocals yourself.
I wish davinci resolve would make something to extend music tracks instead of having to find a point & then copying & pasting it etc. I think adobe has something like that no?
I'm enjoying a lot of the new features in DR19...now if it will just stop crashing when I'm close to done with my edits! 🤨 Thanks for sharing these. I'll look them up.

Thank you, how can I export an ambisonics for example if I converted a stereo track into ambix. What audio option after can I select in order to bounce on disc a simple video with 1 OR ambisonics ? Thank you
I have studio and downloaded the 19 beta today. I can not for the life of me get those options to show. Zero Dialougue seperator, Zero Music Remixer. The sliders are just not there.
I have 19beta Studio installed. Decent hardware specs including Nvidia RTX3080 Transcription works (just as it did in 18.6) however if I activate speaker detection first, it sits there a while then crashes. Thoughts?
Man these tools are sooooo good using the Free version is just stupid at this point...What they added to Studio is wildly cool I used to love Adobe for all their AI but BM has jsut killed it....
Why is it so freaking hard for people to say “Brand new in da Vinci resolve free/studio…” Buddy, there are a lot of free users and we’re always worried that the cool stuff doesn’t apply to us. You need to let us know right away. Thanks.
BM is so clever because in theory there is more than enough in the free version to edit good videos. But then when you use the Studio version you can't ever imagine using the free version again.

Ooh that’s amazing! Been waiting on this for ages. Waves Factory Trackspacer is so useful for doing much better ducking on a per frequency basis.
Love that you can now extract stems in Davinci.
Do they detail their training set / effectiveness? I've been using Demucs, but this being built right into the Resolve UI is neat.

you need to select the audio (music track) on the left hand side to enable it by selection the audio track to duck and the amount and it will work

what a bad UI design in Da Vinci. Why just not simply display all of these new Audio AI tools in the inspector/Audio area ?
