Thank you everyone for your prayers and well wishes over the last 12 days of this emotionally drawn out saga.
I was hoping the result would be different, but ultimately, I knew this was going to be the end when I held her yesterday. She expended every last ounce of energy she had at the end following her instincts and try to push the eggs out. Even if her 5 eggs don't make it, she's still a good mother in my eyes.

She was a very special snake and she had a very special caretaker for her time in the world.

Gods, I hate that I got this notification just now. You did your best as her caretaker in this situation. While I did not know much about her, it's very easy to tell how much you love all of your babies. Take time for yourself and recover.

Sorry for your loss. I dont have snakes, but i had two cats who passed away. Its different form of bond but after all it comes down to the same - lost of friend dearest to heart. Keep best memories in your heart and dont blame yourself for anything. Everytime everyone who care, in situation like this keeps thinking what could have been done better but its worst anyone can do. Stay strong❤
;-; RIP poor sweet girl, she did all that she could and held on as long as she could. Hopefully at least 1 of her eggs makes it so you can have an Alys 2 to dote on with all the effort she put into her eggs. You need something good after all this heartbreak.
I really hope so too. Leafystreet also here on UA-cam suffered the loss of his favorite gecko in a breeding accident and it’s clear that the eggs that came from it successfully hatching were a massive help with his grief.

This is a new concept for me. I know people get attached to their spiders, but scorpions... can you socialize them?
Sorry you lost another animal. Bad luck seems to find you. You seem to be experiencing a lot of issues, illnesses, and eventually loss. Perhaps you should consider reducing the number of animals you have and/or your long term breeding plans so that you can focus your efforts more efficiently.
The continued stress and depression is not good for you either..... keeping these animals needs to be a positive.
